Looking at the past three years' statistics, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the placement rate of almost all the BTech branches, except MME which recorded a declining trend. Candidates who qualify for NIMCET can register ofr NIMCET counelling process. Based on the valid rank obtained by candidats, NIT Trichy released the final clsoing rank. As per the ranking data released for the year 2023 for NIT Trichy MCA course, the last round closed with rank 48. This rank is applicable for All-India General category candidates.

From the above data, it can be observed that all three institutes have somewhat similar placement scenarios.

To apply for the MCA programme at NIT Trichy, you need to first appear for the NIMCET (National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test) entrance exam. The exam is held annually and is the sole criteria for admission into the MCA programme offered by NIT Trichy. Once you qualify for the exam, you can apply for the MCA programme at NIT Trichy. The eligibility criteria for the MCA programme are a Bachelors degree in B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons. )/BCA/BIT/B. The aspirants with a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% aggregate can apply for M.Tech at NIT Trichy. For admission to MTech, candidates must have a valid score of GATE, which shall be equal to or higher than the cutoff. Selected candidates further are called for CCMT Counselling. Interested candidates must apply for the GATE exam and counselling within the due date.

Yes, NIT Trichy releases the result on the basis of Home State quota. For admission to BTech, the JEE Main Round 1 cutoff 2025 has been released for different categories, including OBC under the HS quota. For the first round, the closing ranks ranged between 1620 and 8877 for the OBC category students belonging to the HS quota. For the OBC category students under the AI quota, the Round 1 cutoffs were between 376 and 7579. Upon reviewing the first-round cutoff ranks for both the quotas, we can see that the competition was comparatively less for the students belonging to the HS quota as compared to the AI quota students.

NIT Trichy is managed by a transport committee under Dean (Institute Development) with a motto to help staff, students, and administration. NITT has 1 Swaraj Mazda, 4 buses, 1 Indigo Car, 1 Tempo traveler, 1 Bolero, 1 Eicher, 1 Omni and 1 Ambulance.
