The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law would charge about Rs. 2.5 Lacs a year for the BA LLB (Hons) programme. The annual cost of an LLM will be approximately 2.1 lakhs. The annual cost of a Ph.D. will be approximately 2.2 lakhs. Students will also be assessed a range of fees by the university. Candidates need to complete LLB or Five-year integrated LLB from a recognised university with an aggregate of 55% (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law LLM course. The university offers BA LLB course admission based on the CLAT 2024 score. The total number of seats offered through CLAT 2024 are 214 seats.
For admission to BA LLB (Hons) course at RGNUL candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2024 counselling will be called by RGNUL through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists.
Candidates who qualify for CLAT must pay the fee for their respective courses, which includes components such as Tuition Fee, Examination Fee, Security Deposit, Hostel Charges (if applicable), etc. Other than the course fee, candidates are required to pay a fee for CLAT application fee. For General /OBC /PWD /PIO /OCI /NRI category candidates, the application fee is INR 4,000; for SC /ST /BPL category candidates, the application fee is INR 3,500.

RGNUL BA LLB admission is done through CLAT. For admission through CLAT candidates have to submit the application fee, other than the course fee.
For General /OBC /PWD /PIO /OCI /NRI category candidates, the application fee is INR 4,000 and for SC /ST /BPL category candidates, the application fee is INR 3,500.

The NLU Patiala students have to undergo an internship at the end of each semester. The first-year students have to join NGOs for four weeks duration. Further, the second-year students undergo training with judges and lawyers at the district level. Additionally, third-year students undergo training at the High Courts and Hon'ble Supreme Court. In addition to this, the fourth and fifth-year students have to go for training for six weeks. Crawford Bayley and Co., Anand and Anand, J. The NLU Patiala CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released till round 2 for admission to UG and PG level law courses for various categories under the All India quota.
For the SC AI category, the cutoff for the BA LLB (Hons) course was 9650 in the 2nd round. On the other hand for the LLM course and its variou specialisations, the cutoff was 4093. The total tuition fee for Rajiv Gandhi National Law University PG Diploma is INR 9,000. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. As per the CLAT RGNUL 2nd cut off 2025, the closing rank for general category candidate is 1260 through All India counselling. There is no state quota seats available at NLU Patiala in the 2nd allotment list.
