RULET Exam Pattern 2026: Marking Scheme, Distribution of Questions, Exam Duration

Candidates preparing for the RULET exam may find the previous year question paper or sample papers from the UniRaj official website. Candidates looking to appear for the exam may also refer to the equivalent national level and state level exam to understand the structure of the exam, quality and kind of questions asked. The UniRaj releases the sample questions along with the notification for the candidates to understand the structure of the exam.

The exam officials will notify about the RULET exam marking scheme through the official notification to be released along with the application form. However, as per below given is the expected marking scheme for the RULET 2025 exam:

• For each correct answer 2 marks will be awarded to the candidates
• The RULET exam will have no negative marking in the exam
• For questions not attempted by the candidates, no marks will be awarded or deducted

RULET 2026 exam will have no negative marking which means no marks will be deducted for the wrong answer attempted. This will let the candidates to attempt the entire RULET question paper which in turn will increase their chances of scoring better. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer and for any unattempted or wrong answer, no marks will be deducted. 

RULET question paper carries 150 MCQs of 300 marks. Each question carries 3 marks and there is no negative marking. Questions in the exam come from the English language, Legal Reasoning Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Candidates should cover all events of past year for the subjects of RULET question paper, as well as practice mock test papers to score well in the examination. Candidates looking to sit for the RULET exam must refer to the exam pattern to understand the number of questions asked in the exam. The maximum marks awarded for each section of the RULET exam will be as follows:

The Legal Reasoning and English Language section in the RULET exam will carry 50 marks which is the maximum in the entire RULET exam. The candidates must try to prepare the topics for these sections well to score better. Each question in the RULET exam will carry 2 marks each and there will be no negative marking. However, Current Affairs and General Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections will carry 25 marks each. 

RULET 2026 will not have any negative marking. However, candidates will be asked questions from subjects including English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, & Logical Reasoning. The total marks to be awarded for each question will be 2 marks. 

RULET question paper carries 150 MCQs of 300 marks. Each question carries 3 marks and there is no negative marking. RULET 2026 question paper will be based on subjects including English, Legal Language, Logical Reasoning, and Current affairs. There will be 150 questions in total and negative marking will not be there. Each question will carry 2 marks and the language of the question paper will be English. 

The level of exams obviously differs as the participating universities are different. CLAT is a national level exam where the participating universities are all National Law universities, but same is not the case with RULET. However, for your help the following is the pattern of RULET. Syllabus for RULET Exam: The admissions to5 year B.A. LLBcourse of Rajasthan University would be on the basis of: 1. Entrance Test (200 marks) 2. Personal Interview (60 marks) 3. Group Discussion (40 marks) The Admission test paper shall be multiple choice questions. The questions shall comprise 1. Test of Language Ability (50 marks) 2. Legal Reasoning (30 marks) 3. Aptitude of Learning (30 marks) 4. General Knowledge (30 marks) 5. General Science (30 marks) 6. Social Studies (30 marks).
