RULET 2026 Counselling: The Rajasthan University has published the RULET Exam Counselling Schedule 2026. Candidates who have cleared the RULET Exam can participate in the counselling rounds. The course-wise final merit/rank list has been displayed online. Candidates will have to send the counselling-related documents through email to the Rajasthan University.

Candidates will have to carry their RULET 2026 Scorecard along with the other important documents on the day of counselling. The candidates must also deposit the admission fee online after the document verification is complete. RULET 2026 Counselling Process

It is important to understand the whole Counselling Process. Candidates who will be shortlisted for admission to Rajasthan University can check the counselling process below

  • Candidates who have secured marks as per the merit list under their respective category will then have to appear for RULET 2026 counselling at the Department of Law, Rajasthan University, Jaipur. They should carry the required documents to support their eligibility for admission, along with the counselling fee and course admission fee.
  • At the counselling venue, candidates will have to purchase the counselling form for INR 100. Submit self-attested photocopies of the required documents. 
  • Candidates must pay the admission fee applicable to their category in the online mode.

Q:   What is the expected RULET Cutoff?
A: 

The expected RULET cutoff for the General category is likely to be 220+ marks. For SC/ST categories around 180+ marks. Cutoffs may vary based on difficulty and applicant numbers. 

Q:   What is asked in RULET GD and PI?
A: 
RULET Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test) GD (Group Discussion) and PI Personal Interview are conducted as part of the selection process for admission to the five-year integrated law programme offered by the University of Rajasthan. In the GD candidates are divided into groups and given a topic to discuss among themselves. The purpose of the GD is to evaluate the candidate's ability to communicate effectively, work in a team, and present their thoughts clearly and logically. In the PI candidates are individually interviewed by a panel of experts. The purpose of the PI is to evaluate the candidate's personality, communication skills, knowledge, and overall suitability for the programme. The topics for the GD can vary and may cover Current Affairs social issues, legal topics, etc. The questions asked in the PI can also vary, but typically cover the candidate's motivation for pursuing law, their understanding of legal concepts, their problem-solving skills, and their career aspirations.

Q:   What to do after RULET 2026 result is out?
A: 

The qualified candidates in RULET 2026 have to appear for GD/PI. The RULET Group Discussion and Personal Interviews (GD/PI) are subsequent rounds after the release of the RULET result. Only those candidates who clear the RULET written exam will be eligible for the GD/PI. To participate in these rounds, they will have to fill out an online application form by visiting the website of the University of Rajasthan, uniraj.ac.in. 

Q:   What are the documents required for RULET Counselling?
A: 

To appear for the RULET counselling, candidates must keep the following documents ready:

  • Print out the RULET scorecard
  • Fee payment confirmation slip
  • Class 10 mark sheet (original and photocopy)

RULET 2026 Eligibility & Reservation

RULET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum academic qualification the candidate needs to meet to be considered for admission to the BA LLB program is given in the table below.

Bonafide residents of the state of Rajasthan (candidates with Rajasthan Domicile)

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam securing a minimum of 50% marks (SC and ST candidates need only 45% marks)

Other state candidates (Non-Rajasthan candidates)

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam securing a minimum of 60% marks. Note that there will be category-wise relaxation for any categories.

The RULET counseling process consists of online registration, merit-based seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment, usually held in multiple rounds. Qualified candidates must attend in person with original documents, as scheduled, to confirm admission to the 5-year BA LLB (Hons) course.

Documents Required for RULET 2026 Counselling

Candidates need to carry the following documents in original as well as photocopies (two sets of self-attested copies): 

  • RULET 2026 application form 
  • Valid Photo Identity Card (e.g. Aadhar, Voter Id, PAN Card, DL etc)
  • RULET 2026 hall ticket 
  • RULET 2026 result card 
  • Recent photographs of passport size (six photos).
  • Date of Birth certificate or Merit certificate 
  • Class 12th mark sheet 
  • Class 10th mark sheet
  • Caste-category certificates as issued by the competent authorities
  • PWD category certificates (if claiming)
  • Transfer certificates, character certificates from the college/ university last attended
  • Non-Income Taxpayers certificate for claiming relaxation in the course fee

Q:   How much fee is to be paid for RULET 2026 counselling process?
A: 

Candidates have to deposit the admission fee through e-payment mode on the official website. As per the RULET 2026 counselling notification, apart from the admission/course fee of INR 50,480, a candidate need to pay INR 100 as the counselling registation fee on the day of counselling. However, they need to note that the RULET admission fee is the subject to change.

Candidates need to note that the fee mentioned here is based on previous year's counselling notification. The fee may change in 2025.

Q:   Who conducts RULET counselling?
A: 

The University of Rajasthan conducts the RULET counselling process. It is managed directly by the university for admission to its five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. program, usually following the release of the merit list based on written exam scores, group discussions, and personal interviews. 

Q:   Is there any fee concession available for PH category candidates in the RULET admission process?
A: 

Yes, candidates belonging to the PH category, Women, Candidates whose parents are non-taxpayers and belong to OBC, MBC, SC, ST, EWS, wards of Martyr, ward of Defence personnel are exempted from paying the tuition fees. The university will conduct at least three rounds of admission to fill all the vacant seats at the Five-Year Law College, Jaipur. The number of counselling rounds will be the same for candidates belonging to both reserved and unreserved categories.

RULET 2026 Tie-breaking Criteria

The University of Rajasthan examination cell will follow the following criteria,

  • Who has secured higher marks in the written test (RULET-2026) without any weightage
  • Who has secured higher marks in Class XII (10+2)
  • Who has secured higher marks in class X (10th)
  • Where either of the above criteria is unable to fix the preference, the elder candidate will be considered for admission.

The University of Rajasthan declared the RULET result 2026 on May 31, 2026. The result was released on its website - admissions.univraj.org/ruletPanel. Candidates have to use their roll number and date of birth to access the RULET 2026 result.
