RGPV BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BTech at RGPV Bhopal is a four-year course offered in a full-time mode. The UG-level course is available across multiple specialisations. Computer Science and Business Systems, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Data Science are the specialisations offered by RGPV. The BTech course is also offered via the university's affiliated colleges. RGPV's affiliated colleges such as Sagar Institute of Research & Technology and Bhabha University offer BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.

The fee of the RGPV BTech CS course ranges from INR 30,000 to INR 5.30 lakh through out its affilited colleges. The RGPV offers three to five-year BTech courses to students across Computer Science and Engineering, AI and Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, and other streams. To get admission to BTech, the candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45-50% aggregate and must qualify for JEE Mains and DTE MP Counselling.
RGPV BTech application forms will be out soon. However, the application portal of a few of the RGPV's affiliated colleges is open for 2024. Until then candidates can apply for the JEE Main exam 2025 to secure admission in the BTech course.
The National Testing Agency will soon release the notification for JEE Main exam 2025. The NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2025 exam in two sessions, tentatively in January and April.

Every year, admission to the BTech course at RGPV starts with the application process. Candidates are required to fill out an online application form on the official website of the university within the stipulated deadline. Students must also watch out for JEE Main dates for BTech admission.

The fee of the BTech course at RGPV ranges from INR 30,000 to INR 5.30 lakh. The basic eligibility requires the candidates to pass Class 12 or its equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% to 60% depending on the course and constituent colleges. However, BTech admissions at RGPV are accepted based on a valid score obtained in national and state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advnced, MPPET, etc. followed by counselling. Only those who meet the cut-off and satisfy all the parameters will be allocated a seat at the university for the BTech programme. In case the students are unable to clear the BTech cut-off released by the university, they can pursue Online BTech course offered by various other colleges.
Admission to BTech at RGPV is completely entrance-based. Direct admission is not possible for BTech course at the university. Candidates seeking for admission to this course must pass Class 12 to appy for the course. Aspirants must qualify for JEE Main entrance exam in order to get admission. The JEE Main qualifiers are required to apply for DTE MP counselling, where the seats will be allotted to the selected candidates.

Step 2: Selection Rounds

Step 3: Counselling Process
Once the selection rounds are done, candidates who qualify for the entrance exam have to apply for DTE MP Counselling process for the final seat allotment. After the release of the final merit lists, candidates have to go to the university's admission office in person for document verification.
Step 4: Merit List
After the commencement of the counselling process, the final list of the selected candidates is released on the official website of SIRT Bhopal. The list is prepared after assessing candidates' performance and records.

RGPV provides scholarships under various type to its meritorious aspirants. The scholarships are provided in the following categories:

Candidates seeking admission to the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya BTech course must visit the official website of the institute to apply online. RGPV BTech admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance test, followed by DTE MP Counselling. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh conducts MP BE Counselling for admission to the Engineering courses in the state. In order to get admission, candidates must also fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for the course.
Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA, there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with appearing in the JEE Main exam.
It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs.
