Yes, SASTRA University offers a three-year Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) to students in the field of Software & IT. The admission process is completely online and the application process is usually conducted between April and June. The eligibility criteria for BCA at SASTRA is that the candidates must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects

The first year of the BCA programme covers the basics of Computer Science, such as Programming Languages. The second year covers advanced topics related to Computer Science, such as Operating Systems and Data Structures & Algorithms. The final year of the course covers topics such as Java, Computer Graphics and E-commerce.

Sastra University offers a BTech course with 32 different specialisations. Among these 32 specialisations, seven are minors and two are integrated courses that last for five years. The entire BTech programme is divided into 8 semesters, with each semester having a duration of six months.

At the undergraduate level, this deemed University offers BTech across 30 specialisations along with Integrated MTech across two specialisations. Admission to all these courses is subject to JEE Main scores for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. The application process for all these courses is conducted via online mode only. Integrated candidates can visit the official website of the deemed university, apply online and pay the application fee. Yes, in addition to regular, full-time and part-time courses, SASTRA Deemed University also has a Directorate for Online and Distance Education (ODE) that offers numerous UG and PG courses via distance/online mode.

To apply for the BTech course at SASTRA University, you need to go through an online application process that is available on the official university website. Before applying, make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the course. Here are the steps you need to follow to complete the application process:

Step 2: Click on the 'Online Applications 2024' link under the Admission 2024-25 section.
Step 3: In the 'Application Guide' section located at the bottom left corner, click on 'Application manual'. This will open a PDF document that provides a step-by-step guide to the application process. The application fee for the BTech course and Integrated BTech and M.Tech course is INR 6000.

SASTRA University BTech seat intake at the main campus is 2265 and at Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre, the seat intake is 420. There is no seat reservation policy followed by SASTRA University. However, admission to 50% of the total seats are done considering the candidate's performance in JEE Mains and Class 12 (equal weightage given to both aspects), and the remaining 50% of seats are filled based on the merit secured in Class 12.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at SASTRA University, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of SASTRA University are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

With 945 marks in your +2 exam, you have a good chance of securing a seat at Sastra University. Sastra University offers admission to 50% of its total seats based on JEE Main scores and normalized marks of Class 12, with equal weightage given to both aspects. The remaining 50% of seats are filled based on the merit secured in the qualifying exam. With your high score of 945 marks in your +2 exam, you are likely to be competitive for admission to Sastra University.

Candidate should have passed Class 12 with Maths Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as their subjects from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 60%. The total course fee for the BTech course ranges between INR 4.7 lakhs to INR 7.7 lakhs. SASTRA University offers BTech across 23 specialisations along with integrated MTech across two specialisations. Spread over four years and eight semesters, admission to all these courses is subject to JEE Main scores for 70% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 30% of the seats.

Candidates willing to take admission to the MBA programme at SASTRA University must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• For admission to the MBA programme at SASTRA University, candidates will have to fill out the online application form through SASTRA University official website by paying the required fee for final submission.
• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ AIMCAT
• Those who qualify will be required to report to the admission cell at SASTRA University for document verification and fee payment for final seat allotment.
