SASTRA (Deemed to be University)
Placements: In the academic year 2025, nearly 250 students are placed in our branch in both IT. The placement percentage may be approximately 70 to 75% across the campus. The highest package is 34 LPA for a CSE branch student, but the lowest package is 6 LPA. I think in 3 years, few will get internships.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have suitable sitting arrangements for students and are provided with projectors. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The library is filled with over 10,000 books and has a study hall. The labs consist of all the equipment required for academics. The mess is good, but it is a vegetarian college.
Faculty: The lecturers are mostly Ph.D. graduates, who are also enrolled in projects based on the IT sector in the college. We also have practical work, either for studying for college exams or industrial visits. It is quite hard as compared to other colleges. The pass percentage is nearly 56%.

Good environment for learning and studying.
Placements: We have about 70% of good placements, with the highest and the lowest packages as 22 LPA and 6 LPA, respectively. The average package is about 8 LPA. We get many companies for computing courses frequently and recruit the students for internships and jobs. Reliance, TCS, HCL, Bajaj, Infosys, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, PayPal, Ramco, Samsung so on. Here, the companies will provide students get opportunities to start up their own companies and ideas.
Infrastructure: Here we have many departments in our college, for each department we have good equipment and machines to learn the subject, and research. Coming to the library, we've a huge collection of books for many purposes, like different entrance exams, concepts belonging to a particular department. The facilities are quite good. For girls, it is a good college in terms of safety. Most of the things are available in the college itself.
Faculty: We have a very good faculty who are very experienced with research and teaching in many ways. They interact with students and help them to learn in a new way, through the approach to the problems. Here we have mentor meetings with every student to know their problems. From the 2nd year, we'll get into core subjects and learn them according to the needs of a placement point of view. Here, semester exams are a bit hard, but I can manage them well with a good percentage.
Other: I'm from the IT department, as it is a growing field nowadays with competition, so I chose it. The fests, events are good. We have 3 main fests in even semesters, so we can participate in them. We have different clubs for every activity so that we can improve ourselves and interact with many people, and have certificates that are useful in placements. We will conduct workshops of different types and learn about new things.

Good college to study.
Placements: There are many companies visiting the campus, around 150 companies. Placement percentage is around 85 to 90%. The average package is around 7 LPA according to the university's school of placements.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is pretty good but not up to the mark when compared with other top colleges that compete with this college. But here, it's good not too bad. The people here in the hostel are so friendly and have good intellect.
Faculty: Faculty members at SASTRA Deemed University are well-educated and friendly with the students. They are well-trained and more talented people. Most lecturers are Ph.D. holders. The curriculum in the courses is well-designed, updated on time, and upgraded yearly. The staff is so friendly.

College and faculty familiarizing job opportunities.
Placements: 95% of students are mostly placed in our course who have perfect grades. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. The average package of Sastra University is 8-12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, Dell, TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, and Google. 70% of students will get internships, and the college provides elective courses, minor courses, and also research and abroad programs. Top roles offered are senior software engineer, cybersecurity, and data analytics. Complete Bhramins College is best for Bhramins and all others. No non-veg is allowed inside the college.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. We have many labs. There are almost 8 labs for SOC students, and the TIFAC lab, Cybersecurity Lab, Database Lab, EIE, and ECE labs are 6, and the Mechanical labs are also 6. An Aerospace lab is also available. The law department also has a small court inside the college. We have a 3-D printing lab, Chemistry, and Physics labs. Hostels are bad; only Vinaya will be new, and the remaining ones are all old and in poor condition.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching is good except for a few faculty members. Mostly, 90% of the faculty teaching is good, and they will give proper guidance to study and prepare. We are industry-ready for our mechanics and other ECE SOC. They have different industry partners where students can get hands-on experience and learn.
Other: I like coding, so I chose it. Events will be only one per year, but many dance and comedy concerts and games take place at different clubs for students. There are many workshops as well.

This campus is nice for studying. This environment is good for focusing on studying.
Placements: 85% of students got placed. The highest package is around 30-40 LPA, the lowest is around 3-4 LPA, and the average is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Around 75% of students got internships at Google, Microsoft, TCS, and Infosys. Manager is the top role offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection has a somewhat low speed. Labs are maintained very nicely. Classrooms are hygienic and good for focusing on study. The library contains books used not only for graduation, but also some storybooks are available. The facilities in the hostel are good. The medical facilities and sports are good. The quality of food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very capable lecturers. Teaching is good. A good curriculum is relevant to the job, and they are well-prepared for placements. They are making themselves very ready for industry or company semester exams, which are very difficult compared to the mid-term exams.
Other: I chose this course because we can get IT jobs. There won't be any events in our college, and only one fest in the whole year.

We have to write three mid-term exams in a semester. There are many classes in a week.
Placements: More than 85% of students got placed in companies. The highest package ranges from 30 to 40 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 3 to 4 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Airtel. 50% of students got internships from my course in Microsoft, TCS, and Infosys. The top role offered is manager.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection is unstable and has low speed. Labs are well-maintained with great precautions. Classrooms are very nice for focusing on studying and are hygienic. The library contains many books, not only for graduation but also for research and some storybooks. The quality of the food is average. Facilities for medical and sports are nice.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly capable. Their teaching is good. The course curriculum is relevant to the job, and students are well-prepared for placements. They make us ready for the industry or company. Semester exams are very difficult compared to mid-term exams. More than 80% of students pass the semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because we can get IT jobs. There aren’t many events in our college, and only one fest is organized in the whole year. That fest lasts for more than two days, and we have enjoyed ourselves a lot during these days.

A good college if you can take advantage.
Placements: Institution is pretty average and has good placements during 2025, but for 2024 batch, it was very bad. Some of the companies that commonly come are TCS, Accenture, TVS, etc. For SOC (School of Computing students) many companies demand web-dev skills (Around 90%).
Infrastructure: The facilities in hostel that is located on campus are good. But the ones outside (for boys) are pretty bad. The food is bad and too crowded. On the other hand, hostels inside are really good with good food and are spacious. The Wi-Fi is good with a speed of around 3-4 Mbps, sufficient for college work.
Faculty: The courses help us build fundamental in-demand skills. The courses are also frequently updated to meet the demands. Not all courses or staff would be useful though. You better get online courses for yourself, build projects, do CP, and you are all set.
Other: Try to be part of good clubs like KS, Daksh, etc.

Absolutely good compared to other colleges because of the feel and also good placements.
Placements: Averagely, 60-70% students were placed in my course before going out of college. Coming to the highest package, it is 2,400,000 per annum, and the lowest package is 300,000 per annum. The average package is about 700,000 per annum. Top recruiting companies in the IT background are Deloitte, Wells Fargo, Fidelity, PayPal, and many MNC companies. Many of them got internships too in companies like Roche, Fidelity, Wells Fargo, and PayPal.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available in the college is good compared to some other colleges. High-speed internet through Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The labs are also highly specialized and equipped with the latest systems and advanced technologies. In the library, we can get good books regarding subjects and also storybooks, and the online database is available for academic and research purposes. It is quite an environment to study in.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are highly experienced in Sastra, and some are not up to the mark. For IT students, the subjects are good, but the faculty is not good. They will explain the PPT slides and what is there in them. Semester exams are not that difficult as we are taught, and the passing marks are 50 in the subject we need to score. The curriculum makes the students industry-ready, and they can sit for placements.
Other: I chose IT because the IT industry is booming in the future. I wish some of the faculty could be improved because the subjects are good for us, but the faculty is not up to that level. Intra-college events like Kuruksastra (a cultural event), Daksh (a technical event), and Colosseum (a sports event) are held. Additionally, extracurricular activities like dance, music, singing, and some workshops are conducted during holidays. Scholarships provided by national scholarship portals are available in Sastra.

The fee for B. Tech in Information Technology at SASTRA University is about $ 5 lakh for one year; however, this can differ on the course and campus depending on the course, and it may also have other extras like hostel fees based upon the facilities selected.
