Siksha O Anusandhan University admissions to all courses are entrance-based. Siksha O Anusandhan Admission Test SAAT a national-level entrance test is conducted by Siksha O Anusandhan Deemed to be University every year to select students. The test is being conducted for different programs offered in constituent institutes/schools of Siksha O Anusandhan. A separate merit list for all qualifying candidates shall be prepared on the basis of SAAT. A candidate selected through the counseling for a course is admitted and registered as a student of SOA-deemed to be a University automatically.

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech course in SOA university, candidates shall have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (50% in case of SC / ST / OBC category) and obtained at least 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Siksha 'o' Anusandhan course admissions for various UG and PG courses of Engineering is done through either SAAT or various national-level entrance exams. Further, the university releases merit lists for students who got qualified in the respective entrance exams. For the final selection process, it is mandatory for students to appear for the counselling process conducted by the university.

SOA University accepts the valid scores of JEE Mains and SAAT for admissions to BTech courses. The NIRF 2022 ranked SOA University in 16th position. SOA University has been continuously ranked among the top 20 Universities in India by NIRF. SOA is approved by the UGC and accredited by NAAC, ABET, and NBA. It is also recognised by the Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO). The SOA University's placement drive for the batch graduating in 2022 has been successfully completed. According to the most recent data, INR 42 LPA was the highest salary package provided during the 2022 placement drive. The hostel fee structure for SOA University depends upon the number of accommodations, for double sharing with Air conditioning the fee is INR 1.20 Lacs per annum. For triple-sharing rooms with Air conditioning, the fee is INR 90,000 per annum. Siksha O Anusandhan University provides separate hostels for boys and girls with 24-hour security and Wi-Fi facilities. There are 13 boys and 11 girls hostel. The hostels also have mess facilities providing hygienic and nutritious food. The mess charges are not included in the hostel fee, candidates need to pay INR 36,000 per annum to avail of the campus mess.
