SRMIST Vadapalani Hosts Second International Conference on Reinventing Business Practices

September 29, 2022: Today's second International Conference on Reinventing Business Practices, Startups and Sustainability (ICRBSS) at SRMIST Vadapalani featured advice from those who want to start their own businesses. J. Radhakrishnan, the government of Tamil Nadu's principal secretary of cooperation, food, and consumer protection, said those desiring to become entrepreneurs must possess the necessary abilities and must not shirk from putting in the necessary amount of effort.

The two-day international conference, also known as ICRBSS 2022, is being organised by the Department of Management Studies at SRMIST Vadapalani in collaboration with University of Nizwa (Oman) and SRM University Sonepat. The conference aims to promote high-quality research in a variety of business disciplines, including entrepreneurship and startups. It helps to achieve the goal of information transfer by advancing the research community's career, enabling business decision-making, and encouraging policymakers to make good decisions.

According to Radhakrishnan, the crucial factor is that business owners must never be afraid of failing and that nothing should stop them from taking the necessary risks. Owning a startup is difficult, and one must be ready to overcome many obstacles. Overall, it's average. If you're looking to enjoy your college life, this college is not for you.

Placements: Very few students have been placed. Specifically, only 5 out of 50. The highest package offered is up to 8 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA, with Accenture and Samsung being the primary companies that came for placement. There were very few companies that visited for placements, and many students didn't get placed, which resulted in a loss for those who paid placement fees, and the placement portals also had trouble.

The real truth of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai - Vadapalani Campus.

Placements: As of last year, in CSE, from 160-170 students, 80-90 applied for placements, and 38 students got placed. The highest package is 52 LPA, and the 2nd highest package is 25.5 LPA. The placement system is simple, and students need a minimum CGPA to sit in placements. We get opportunities to apply to multiple companies by sending our resume and attending interviews.

I am dissatisfied because there is no sports facility as our college doesn't have ground.

Placements: Placements at our college are quite good because various companies visit our college to select students and offer only 2 students who have more than 7 out of 10 CGPA. Students who score below 6 or 7 CGPA have no placements. They have to find jobs on their own.

Overall, it's a good and well-maintained esteemed institution where students can learn.

Placements: The college provides placement training for the students who are capable and responsible. Students are taught coding with the personal systems in lab sessions. Online mock tests are also provided in terms of the lab where students can check up their coding skills.

The BTech programme at SRM University Vadapalani costs between INR 4 Lacs and INR 16.6 Lacs for the entire duration, depending on the chosen branch and specialisation. This range covers the tuition fees, while additional charges like hostel and registration fees may apply separately.

SRM typically requires minimum 50% PCM (45% for reserved categories) in Class 12, alongside a valid SRMJEEE rank (or JEE Main in some categories). For CS/AI/ML, the rank matters far more. Make maths compulsory (unless you're going for certain tech lite programmes). Always re-check the current year S
