REVIEW BY THAPAR STUDENT
Placements: 83 percent of the students were placed in my course: Electronics and Computer Engineering . The highest package was 40 LPA, and the minimum was 2 LPA, and the average was 11 LPA . Recruiting companies: Google , Microsoft , Apple , BlackRock , Infosys , Wipro. Roles offered: Software Developer , Front-end and Back-end. 50 percent of students got internships in the 3rd - 4th year of engineering.
Infrastructure: College has world-class infrastructure with Nav Nalanda Library, top-class . Wi-Fi speed is excellent, approximately 7mbps downloading speed . Mess food is excellent with Sodexo as a managing branch . Classrooms are excellent with foldable chairs and centrally air-conditioned halls.
Faculty: Teachers are not very helpful. I don’t like going to classes . The teaching quality is not good . I don’t like the curriculum . In the first semester, there was no programming language, but in the 2nd semester, there was a C language. We have a subject in the 3rd semester as EDP, which I don’t think is very valuable, so I don’t like it as much, but it’s okay.
Other: I chose this course as it holds the computer branch which has a good scope in the future. Also , I didn’t get good courses in other colleges. Also , Thapar is the best private engineering college in India . Although my branch has very good subjects, only 1-2 subjects require removal according to me . Various fests and events take place like Saturnalia , Event X , Thapar Food Fest , Technical Fest , Mudra Nights , Cultural Fests, etc. Campus crowd is high but not as much as other engineering colleges. Computer branch has 1100 students and my branch has 300.

Review of Thapar University.
Placements: The overall placement is excellent for our current senior batch. Many have been placed at various companies like Optum, FirstCry, etc. Also many if then git interned at Black Rock, Xpedia and many more. The college is also working very hard to call more companies so that all students get placed at a good package.
Infrastructure: It doesn't feel like I am staying in a hostel. It's like staying in a hotel with all the facilities. We have good mess and staff that keep our feedback and work on behalf of it. They provide good food also. We can choose a 2-seater or 3-seater as per our convenience with AC facilities with some extra charges.
Faculty: Faculty is excellent in this college. They are highly educated in their fields and provide assistance to us at any time, whether online or offline. We can go to them for extracurricular projects outside of their field, and they still help us in that without any hesitation.
Other: Campus life is very good. Each and every part of the college area is very well utilized, and it is a good stress reliever to roam around this beautiful campus with friends.

I don't think that Thapar Institute offers any type of Scholarships but you can go through their website once for more clarity.

Hi, Thapar University has excellent placements in all branches. As you ask specifically for EC/CS, the package is really good. On average a student gets around 5-6 lakh packages, highest is around 35 lakh. Both mass recruiters and product-based companies visit here.

In terms of cut-offs, DCRUST seems more competitive than Thapar University. However, placements is what matters.
Thapar University will expose you to some great companies like Amazon, D Shaw, Sandisk, ZS and Deloitte which might not be same with DCRUST. If your pocket is not constrained you should
