URATPG MA, MLISc Preparation 2025: Tips, Strategy & Guide

In order to prepare for URAT PG, candidates should adopt a strategy that includes the following aspects: 

1. Preparation plan 
2. Study material books 
3. Know the exam pattern and syllabus 
4. Mock practising and study material 
5. Revision

The common exam pattern for URAT PG is as under: 

• Exam mode - The exam will be conducted in a paper-based test mode for all courses. 
• Exam duration - The exam duration for all courses will be of two hours. 
• Test Language - The question paper for all courses will be available in English and Hindi, except for lingual subjects, for them instead of Hindi, the subject-language will be given. 
• Type of questions - All question papers will be carrying multiple choices based questions. 
• Total questions - The total questions for each paper will be 100 only. 
• Total Marks - The total mark for each question paper will be 100 only. 

Candidates should review the syllabus/topics that will be asked in the examination for their respective subject. Each question paper will carry some general science topics and, subject-related topics based on UNIRAJ Part I, Part II, and Part III syllabus of UG course. There will be some subject-specific questions in the question paper.

Remaining questions will be asked from the following topics of General Awareness: 

• Current Affairs,
• History,
• Political Science,
• Geography,
• Basic Sciences,
• Books and Authors,
• Economy
• Reasoning (Analytical/Logical),
• Coding-Decoding,
• Blood Relation
• Series and Series completion
• Synonyms/ Antonyms,
• Fill in the Blanks,
• Misspelt words

Each course can be prepared with the help of the following tips: 

1. Get Books and Study Material 

• Candidates should first get the specific books and preparation material for their subject. The books should be based on the syllabus similar to the UNIRAJ UG level syllabus for the course.
• After the suitable material is available for URAT PG preparation, candidates can begin by marking down the important topics and, make short notes on them. 
• The best way to go ahead with preparation for URAT PG would be clarifying the concepts and, then practice the questions based on them. 

2. Practice Questions and Mock Papers

• Candidates should get the sample papers available for URAT PG 2025 on the official website for their subject.
• Next, they need to practice questions abundantly to improve test-taking skills and, an idea of the exam. The question papers practising will help candidates in improving speed and accuracy for their subject. 

3. Analyse the Preparation

• At each level of preparation, it is important to analyse the preparation level as this gives a motivation to move ahead and also, areas of improvement for the subject.
• Thereafter, candidates can work on the areas needing improvement whether it is syllabus/ topics to prepared well enough or working on test-taking skills such as the speed of solving questions and time-management. 

4. Revise Thoroughly

• After candidates prepare and practice well enough, they should revise everything properly. The best revision strategy will be a regular revision plan rather than just 'in the end revision' plan.
• Revision helps to summarise the syllabus and, also understand the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates. Therefore, a regular revision practice would help candidates in working on their strengths and weaknesses accordingly.
