The minimum marks required to apply for MGU CAT exam varies between 50 to 60 per cent aggregate in graduation. For each course, the minimum score criteria is different.

MBA/PGDM, MSc, LLM, MA (Politics & International Relations/Politics & Human Rights/Public Policy & Governance), the minimum score requirement is 50 percent.

For MA Economics, MA in Malayalam, MA in English, MA (Gandhian Studies/Development Studies), MA (History and Anthropology) and M.Ed, the minimum score requirement is 45 percent.

Q:   What is the MGU CAT 2025 exam date?
A: 

MGU CAT 2025 exam dates was announced by the MG University as May 30 and May 31, 2025. But it has been revised as June 8 and June 9, 2025. Candidates can fill the MGU CAT application form at the official website for April 25 to June 2, 2025. The exam will be conducted at designated examination centres, details of which will be shared in the MGU CAT 2025 admit card.

Q:   Which M.Tech entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University?
A: 

For admission to M.Tech programme offered by MG University, candidates must have valid GATE score. They must have passed GATE exam in the same academic year. Such candidates are not required to appear in MGU CAT exam and can directly seek admission by participating in the GD/PI round.

Q:   Which MBA entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University?
A: 

The MBA entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University’s MBA courses are CAT, CMAT and KMAT. Candidates must have passed any one of these exams in the same academic year. They are not required to appear for MGU CAT and can directly participate in the personal assessment round – GD and PI.

The MGU CAT application fee is not refundable. Thus, candidates make sure they do not make any error in the form and that they have fill another form. Even if they have filled the form correctly, but choose to not appear in the exam, the fee amount will not be refunded.

MGU CAT application form is not available offline. The institute releases MGU CAT application form in online mode only at its official website. All candidates have to register on the website, fill the application form and pay the fee online only.
