 The University of Mumbai (MU) releases multiple merit lists every year followed by a counselling and document verification process to offer admission to students in MU-affiliated colleges. Mumbai University merit list are released for admission to more than 750 affiliated colleges in programmes such as FYBA, FYBSWA, FYBCom, FYBSc, FYBMS, FYBVoc, FYB Library Science and FYBPA. These merit lists University carries the names of students who are shortlisted on the basis of marks they have obtained in their last qualifying examinations. There are many colleges affiliated with MU that offer BTech programmes. Rizvi College of Engineering, Saraswati College of Engineering and Sardar Patel College of Engineering are some of thebest colleges offering BTech under the University of Mumbai. For the best colleges, evaluate colleges per their qualifying exam score/rank and availability of specialisation. 

Like any other Institution/University maintaining an attendance of 75% is mandatory for the students at Mumbai University. The University has its own Attendance Committee, for the smooth conduct of this ordinance in every Department. As per the Attendance Ordinance, candidates must maintain at least 75% attendance for each course & average attendance. If the students fail to maintain the number, the department/college doesn’t forward the examination form to the University exam unit. However, a minimum attendance of 50% is considered in special cases like health issues, family losses, etc.

Yes, BTech is available in Mumbai University. The University of Mumbai offers four-year BE or BTech programmes via more than 60 affiliated colleges. The course is available across 18 specialisations. Admission to BE and BTech colleges of MU (most colleges) is based on a valid score in MHT-CET. However, a number of affiliated colleges under Mumbai University also accept a valid rank in JEE Main.
