B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

The food is difficult to habituate for people from the Telugu state.
Placements: On average, 50-60% of the students get placed every year. The highest package will be around 60-70 LPA. Almost every main development company visits this college for internships and placements. The students who get selected for internships have a higher chance of getting placed.
Infrastructure: Every hostel will have separate Wi-Fi systems. Students will be allowed to change their mess option each month. Dhobi service will be provided three times a month. Only labs will have air conditioning. Normal classrooms do not have air conditioning. Not all the facilities are good here.
Faculty: VIT conducts exams in a very strict and mannered way. It is very hard for an average student to survive in this college. Not all faculty will teach well. Only 1 out of 10 will be a good teacher. There will be 2 mid-semester and one final exam per semester.
Other: I took the core Computer Science and Engineering course at this college. I took this course because I was interested in this side of engineering rather than the electrical and mechanical side.

Amazing social life with amazing faculty and average placements.
Placements: In my batch, we have just started our placement training, and so far everything is very useful and informative, but with our passed out students, most of them get placed at an average salary package because of minimal opportunities to appear in final interviews.
Infrastructure: The course and infrastructure with classrooms and labs are top-notch, but with hostels, it's not the same thing. Hostel rooms are very crammed and less spacious. Mainly with hostel food, a lot of students get sick very frequently, and the washrooms don't have proper functioning most of the time around campus.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are highly qualified and very helpful. Their teaching style varies depending on the student, and they do not force us to adapt to their teaching style. The course keeps us ready to survive in the job market and industry. Also, about the semester exams, you can't say it's hard, but you can only score if you study the concepts and the core of the subject with understanding.
Other: The best thing about our college is the social life. We have a variety of clubs and associations in our college, which will help you develop your social skills, learn new experiences, and also help you meet new people and learn about new cultures.

A Complete Review on my personal experience .
Placements: There are many placement offers offered by the college by the completion of our graduation it will also provide internships by our third year. In the last year the highest package was around 60 Lacs per annum and an average package of 7 Lacs per year.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is of 193 acres with an excellent infrastructure and good environment and greenery. They provide facilities of some indoor and outdoor games along with the equipment in the academic blocks of the campus. There are 3 academic blocks in our campus and one more block is under construction.
Faculty: There are quite good faculty in our campus the have enough knowledge for the teaching subjects and they are quite friendly with the students. The university will conduct 2 mid semesters and one final semester exams per one semester. The difficult level of the paper is more when compared to other colleges .
Other: I have taken computer Science and engineering as the branch of my engineering. I am interested in this branch when compared to other branches.

Quality education and great facilities with well-equipped infrastructure.
Placements: Around 85–90% of students are placed in our course, with the highest package reaching 15 LPA and an average of around 6 to 7 LPA. The top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, and Deloitte. Many students get internships in reputed computer-related companies like Wipro, HCL, and various startups through college tie-ups. Students are offered roles such as Software Developer, System Engineer, and Security Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-organized, modern, and well-maintained. We have high-speed Wi-Fi across the campus, well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms with projectors, and a spacious fully air-conditioned library. The hostel facilities are quite satisfactory, with clean rooms, regular housekeeping, and 24/7 security. The mess food is hygienic and provides a properly balanced diet. The campus also offers gym and medical facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, approachable, and supportive. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage interactive learning. The curriculum is regularly updated and aligns well with industry trends, especially in areas like coding, cybersecurity, and AI. The semester exams are moderately difficult, focusing more on understanding than rote learning. The pass percentage is around 85–90%.

The college is good, strict and academically good.
Placements: Placements are nice. There are super dream packages that are above 10 LPA. The dream package offered is above 8 LPA. If we have a good CGPA and technical skills, we will easily crack good placements. Nearly all students get placements with decent packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice. It has good condition grounds. All types of sports grounds are available. Classrooms are good. It has projectors, speakers, and well-maintained washrooms. Wi-Fi is not available in classrooms. Labs are well maintained and all instruments are top-notch. Computers are high-end.
Faculty: Faculty members are PhD holders so there is no doubt of teaching. The course curriculum is updated and of the latest requirements. There are 3 exams conducted CAT 1, CAT 2, and FAT with 3 DAs. Exams are of 50 marks for both CATs, 100 marks for FAT, and DA of 30 marks each so CAT exam marks are converted into 15%, and 15% percent DA of 100%, and FAT marks into 40%. Then the addition will sum up our marks and depending on the class average our grade will be graded and according to that CGPA will be generated.
Other: There is diversity of students so we will get well-connected.

I would say it's an average college, in terms of placement, faculty, or quality of students.
Placements: Placements are average because of high student intake. The average salary is about 9 LPA for CSE core which has almost 1,600 students. But everyone gets atleast one offer as per seniors' roles offered mostly are SDE and data analyst type. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Adobe, JP Morgan, etc. Around 50-60% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good but due to crowd you have to wait in line a bit. Wi-Fi speed in hostels is 24 Mbps but in academic block it exceeds 1.5 Gbps. Labs are well-maintained, and computers are all new and high-performing. Library is good and has a lot of books but it is a bit crowded. Medical facilities are good as many ambulances are roaming on campus. The campus hospital is in tie-up with Apollo so it's good.
Faculty: It depends, as some teachers are good and helpful, and some are not but mostly teachers are good. Teachers are well qualified. Courses get updated in 2-3 years. Semester exams are divided into three exams: CAT1, CAT2, and FAT. CAT2 is open-book and is difficult, others are moderate.
Other: Events happen every day like hackathons and cultural events organised by clubs.
