Review of VIT Bhopal University.
Placements: Approximately 80-90% of eligible students secure placements, as many go on to pursue further education. The highest is 40-60 LPA, the average is 7-9 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5-4 LPA (offered by mass recruiters).
Infrastructure: The amenities are basic. There are labs for each branch. Wi-Fi speed is decent. There are two libraries, one in AB1 and the other in AB2. The hostel quality is also decent. The mess food is relatively good. Medical facilities are available 24/7. For sports, there is a basketball court, a multipurpose hall, and one at the boys’ hostel.
Faculty: Being in college, you have to study by yourself. Teachers are quite decent, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant and precise. It does make students industry-ready. Semester exams are at a medium level, and grades are relative, depending on the marks of other students as well.
Other: I chose this because VIT has a strong placement brand name and is the best option for my rank. The best thing is a strong placement drive with many companies visiting and a competitive coding culture. Needs improvement in many low-package mass recruiters, and the campus is isolated, far from the city. Events include decent fests like Advitya, Winter Fest, and Summer Fest. The crowd is mixed, with students from all over India. The campus is modern but remote. There are many options, but you need to be proactive. It is a good platform if you work hard. Don’t expect anything to be handed to you.

VIT-BHOPAL: It's a really good college for really studying students.
Placements: In my college, 95% of students are placed in multinational companies (MNCs). The highest package in my college is 56 LPA, the average package is 25 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Infosys, Google, TCS, etc. 100% of students got internships from my Cyber Security course.
Infrastructure: I am currently staying in the hostel. The facilities are good, but sometimes adjustments are needed with the food, though it is not bad. Wi-Fi and AC facilities are provided. The libraries are also good, and they have nearly 3 blocks of hostels. A lift is also provided, and daily sports and games are available.
Faculty: In my college, faculty are very friendly and also help with subjects. They use the blackboard and provide good knowledge. In my course, we learn ethical hacking, which is a very interesting course. The semester exams are conducted very strictly, and 80% of students pass.

VIT Bhopal highlights regarding placement and infrastructure.
Placements: About 70 percent of students got placed and had good placements. The class strength was 70 students. Companies like Amazon and Microsoft visited, and around 90 percent got internships. Rather than internships, there are good placement opportunities, and many companies visit.
Infrastructure: Excellent Wi-Fi and well-developed modern labs, with a vast collection in the library. If we talk about the hostel, it is very good, furnished with excellent hygiene, and has a good atmosphere. Medical facilities are available 24 hours on the campus itself, so students have no problem.
Faculty: All professors are Ph.D. qualified and have specific field knowledge. They are experts in their subjects. Yes, these subjects help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are in two phases: mid-term and term-end. Both are for testing the knowledge relevant to the semester.
Other: I was interested in cybersecurity, so I chose this course. It's a very interesting course. The fest and campus growth are also very good, with a lush green campus spread across 250+ acres.

Good for academics but bad for campus life—restrictions are too much.
Placements: Around 90% of the students registered for placement get a job. The highest CTC offered is around 52 LPA on campus and 102 LPA off campus. The lowest was around 3.5 LPA, and the average is 9.23 LPA for the 2023 batch. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, IBM, Palo Alto, etc.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi here gives around 10 Mbps constantly. The labs are good, clean, and well-equipped. The classroom is clean and has a good environment. The library is good and has good books, and we get a single book for 14 days. The hostel is good and clean, with cleaning happening three days a week. The mess food is good, and the canteen has awesome food. The sports and games facilities are good in the university.
Faculty: Some teachers are too good and helpful, while some faculty members are the worst. Every teacher holds a Ph.D. degree and has good knowledge about the subject. The course curriculum is diverse and good. The 2nd semester subjects make students industry-ready. The semester exams depend upon the teachers—some teachers make easy exam papers.
Other: I was interested in cybersecurity jobs, and the course curriculum was good in the college. The events here are very grand, like Advitya 2024. The fest happens every year. Mohit Chauhan was the chief guest. The campus crowd is too much. Many students take admission in this college.

One thing I appreciate about this college is that it gives an anti-ragging atmosphere for students
Placements: VIT Bhopal has been providing decent placements to the students who work genuinely hard. The placement head is really hardworking and serious about the placements. I had entered the placement year in March 2024 and since then, there isn’t a day without hearing from the placement cell. It helps us in many ways, be it motivation, provides mock interviews to students, provides a portal on which students can work on company-specific tests on a daily basis. Till now, almost 100-200 students have been placed(some full-time jobs and some internships). The top recruiting companies that came are Apple Inc., PhonePe, JP Morgan, Unilever, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Optiv, Schneider Electric, HSBC, Bank of America, Aptiv, BP, Cognizant, Flipkart, Havells, and many more. The top roles that were offered in the above companies were Frontend developer, Backend developer, Fullstack developer, Research and development role, R&I role, Software developer, Software Tester, Project Manager. The lowest package offered was 3.6LPA in Infosys and the highest is 34LPA in Apple Inc. Two of my friends are placed in Schneider Electric as an intern with a stipend (35000 INR). One is placed in Apple and the stipend is 90,000. Others were placed in JP Morgan, Optiv, and other companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by VIT are exclusively good. The Wi-Fi in the academic block provides a decent speed of 111-115 mbps. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and whiteboards. Each class is 90 minutes long. During the break, we can sit in the library, which is air-conditioned and relaxing. It has a quiet and cozy environment. There are two blocks of girls’ hostels and six blocks of boys’ hostels. All blocks have a mess, and if one doesn't wish to eat mess food, they are always open to the option of night mess. We can pay for the food we want, such as pizza, noodles, etc. The medical facilities in the hostels are good. There is a doctor and a nurse available for the needy. The doctor is available in the morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and in the evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We have a gym and a badminton court in block 1(ladies’ hostel). One can always access both of them. In addition, boys have access to the football ground, badminton court, gym, and basketball court outside their hostels.
Faculty: The teachers in VIT are all knowledgeable; they clarify the subjects with all their heart. The course curriculum is relevant, no doubt. For example, in the cyber security and digital forensics branch in CSE, I got ethical hacking, NASSCOM, software vulnerability testing, software engineering, cyber crimes, and laws as subjects. The grading system in the college is relative and not absolute, meaning a student will get grades based on the average of the class and not based on what marks he actually got.
Other: I always had an interest in CSE (Cyber security and digital forensics). That is why I chose this course. The best thing about the course is the subjects and the faculties who made it more fun to understand the subject. The thing I would want to improve about the curriculum is that it should have been more practical rather than theoretical. Campus Crowd is decent. Each batch has almost 3000-3500 students diversified in different branches. One event that happens every year is Advitya, which is considered the most grand event of the college. The campus is surrounded by PG'S, even if a student doesn't want to stay in a hostel, there are many safe options to live outside the college. Extracurricular activities include many clubs such as dance club, drama club, coding club, Android club, etc. Students can take part in them according to their choices.
