The total fee for BTech courses at HIMT Chennai includes several components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, admission fee, academic fee, etc.  The course fees can be paid semester-wise from the second year. The primary eligibility requirements for admissions to BTech courses at HIMT Chennai are that candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with at least an aggregate of 60% and 50% in English at the Class 10 & 12 levels. Additionally, the college requires several other requirements for admission to the BTech course. Check those factors:

• Age Limit: For males—General: 25 years, OBC (NCL): 28 years, SC/ST: 30 years; For females – General: 27 years, OBC (NCL): 30 years, SC/ST: 32 years (from the commencement of the academic session).
• Medical & Vision Requirements: Candidates must be medically fit, including eyesight and hearing, as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical examination) rules, 2000, and need to produce a certificate of medical fitness issued by a D.G. Shipping Approved Doctor.

Moreover, for admission confirmation, the college accepts the IMU CET ranks.

To be eligible for admission to the B Tech programme at HIMT College (Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training), candidates must meet certain criteria. The eligibility criteria are as follows :-

• Educational Qualifications: - Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Additionally, candidates should have obtained a minimum aggregate score of 60% in these subjects.
• Entrance Exam:-   Applicants seeking admission to the B Tech programme must show up for an entrance exam. The college accepts results from a number of state- and national-level entrance exams, including VITEEE, BITSAT and JEE Main.
• Counseling Process:   After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates need to participate in the counseling process conducted by HIMT College. During counseling, candidates will be allotted seats based on their merit ranks and availability of seats .
• Document Verification:-  Candidates need to submit all necessary documents during the admission process for verification purposes. These  include mark sheets,   certificates, identity proof,   passport-sized photographs  etc.
