It is an absolutely amazing college, and I love everything about it.
Placements: Most students get PPOs. Most students are hired by Tata Steel, Rashmi Group, Aditya Birla Group, PENLM, and Goldman Sachs. The highest package is 14 LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Tata Steel and Rashmi Group are the top recruiters. Most students get internships, mainly with Rashmi Group and Tata Steel. The role is Junior Engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are really good. Classrooms are air-conditioned, Wi-Fi is available, and the library has a wide range of books. The quality of food in the hostel is okay-ish but eatable. There is a hospital and three canteens inside the campus, and a lot of sports events are happening.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and everyone gets an 8+ CGPA. Semesters are okay, and the curriculum makes students industry-ready. Students are great, and teachers as well. They help a lot. They are great. Everything is amazing. Great department and has great students.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest. There are fests happening almost every weekend, the social life is placed here. There is a music room, gym, and many clubs to join, like music, literature, chess, art, and dance.

College with billion dreams, which come true because of knowledge delivered by the teachers here.
Placements: About 60% of our college students are placed definitely in spite of any circumstances. Many startups like Markit Up and Blinkit hire our seniors in college. The highest salary package offered is 55 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. About less than 20% of students are getting internships on our campus, which is not at all a good thing. Software developed, data analytists and machine learning engineers are selected mainly for top packages on our campus .
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi frequency and quality are average I would rate about 2.5 stars for that out of 5. Overall infrastructure is nice. Classrooms have good air conditioning with lot of windows and stuff. Students have no issues at all while learning in classrooms. Hostel is very poor for freshers like us they won't provide hot water also, food tastes very bad. I wouldn't recommend this college for a South Indian boy or girl they can't tolerate here. Medical facilities are top-class and sports are very often held here so students can actively participate in them.
Faculty: Here, the best and most important thing is teachers are highly qualified and knowledge is infinite. They will provide and explain every concept in detail to every student. I'm very grateful for that one particular thing. Course is not that much relevant, but it's moreover outdated so students must learn other skills by themselves. I would rate 6 out of 10 for difficult exams.

SHIBPUR beauty of its campus is external and marvelous. The Lords and The Oval have a green campus.
Placements: In the previous year, the Mining Engineering department, with 21 students out of 27 securing jobs, achieved a placement of 78%.
The highest package ranges from 20-25 LPA, with an average of 7-8 LPA.
Students become eligible for placement from the 7th semester, with top companies like Tata Steel, Coal India, JSW, and Vedanta.
Infrastructure: Rooms are occupied by four girls, the hostel has 24/7 electricity and water, Wi-Fi facility with good speed.
The hostel has a mess facility, and the food quality is good for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
There is a 24-hour security guard.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and have excellent skills in their teaching.
Our professors' teaching style and course materials are highly relevant and effective. The exam questions were closely aligned with the course materials and topics discussed in class by our professors.
Other: Mining engineers can work in a variety of settings, including underground mines, open-pit mines, and office work. Mining Engineering also prepares for GATE or SSC exams for an officer job, with the same syllabus as your department.

A place in Howrah which holds the heritage of engineering like no other college in India.
Placements: Currently, around fifty percent of our batch has been placed in really good companies like Microsoft, Google, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Barclays, McKinsey, and many more, and are placed with pretty good CTCs. The top roles offered in our college are SDE, Analyst, and Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are good. There is a mess and a night canteen for everyone. The mess serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the night canteen, which is open 24/7, provides snacks and a lot of other things that can satisfy your midnight cravings.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and they genuinely want to see you grow. They are always ready to help you and will even go as far as talking to HRs of different companies for your placements if you're having any difficulties.

IIEST: A detailed look into the legacy of 168 years.
Placements: At IIEST, students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester, with top companies like Tata Steel, Coal India, JSW, and Vedanta. Job roles offered in operations, site management, and safety. In Mining Engineering, the highest packages range from 20-25 LPA, with an average of 7-8 LPA. The college has a placement rate of 100% for the last 4 years.
Infrastructure: At IIEST, the infrastructure and hostel life is quite comprehensive. The classrooms have modern tools like projectors and black/greenboards. The labs are well-equipped for practical work, especially for my mining engineering studies (which I have just visited). The library has a wide range of books and digital resources, and there are computer centers with up-to-date software and fast internet. In the hostel, I have access to dormitories with basic amenities such as beds, study tables, and storage. The mess provides meals, and there are recreational areas for relaxing and playing games. Health services and security measures are also in place to ensure my well-being. Overall, the facilities are designed to support both my academic and personal needs.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified and very progressive. Most of them interact very well and take doubt. The curriculum of the course is relevant and is just required to make an engineering student a good engineer. Many placement-oriented and research-oriented programs make the student ready for the industry. The semester exams are mostly on what the teacher has taught. I have no idea of the pass percentage.
Other: I applied to several institutes, including NITs and state colleges, but chose IIEST for its strong reputation, infrastructure, and balance between theory and practical training. I was particularly drawn to the Mining Engineering department as it focuses on interdisciplinary research and real-world exposure. Campus life at IIEST is a great mix of learning and fun. The annual cultural fest, Rebeca, and the technical fest, Instruo, usually take place in February and March, adding a lively vibe to the campus. The library is well-stocked with books and journals, and classrooms are equipped with modern tech like projectors and smartboards. Sports facilities include football, basketball, and cricket, alongside a gym for fitness enthusiasts. There are plenty of clubs, like the Literary Society and Robotics Club, that offer chances to explore interests and make friends, making student life fulfilling and vibrant.

Totally satisfied with the faculty members and the placements.
Placements: When we talk about placement in IIEST, it is actually a very nice thing to talk about. Almost every student from the college grabs placement with an average package of 10–11 LPA, whereas when we talk about the mining engineering department, it has a 100% placement record from the college campus.
Infrastructure: As per being oldest college in India, it was established in 1856, which in itself is a great thing, so when we talk about infrastructure, it is old, but you can find that the heritage of the college is great, no doubt, and also the college administration wants to safeguard the heritage too .
Faculty: One of the best things about IIEST Shibpur is their faculty and professors, which are actually compared to faculty members of some very good colleges like top NITs and IITs. Also, professors help students avail of internships and jobs under their guidance, and for better students, they provide letters of recommendation.

B E college or IIEST shibpur recognized as the grand college in Kolkata .
Placements: Placement in my branch has been 100 percent for the last 4 years. The alumni network is very strong, creating a path for new young minds. In terms of the highest package, it's around 52 LPA, the lowest is 4.5 LPA, and the average is around 6 to 7 LPA. Jindal, Tata Steel, Aditya Birla Group, PwC, etc., are the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, it's quite challenging because the college is too old. Many buildings seem to have cracks on the walls. The library is well-maintained with a vast collection of books, e-journals, magazines, research papers, etc., named as Ramanujan Central Library in honor of the great mathematician Sir Ramanujan. Medical services are available 24/7 on the college campus, and there are no charges for any medicine; all accommodations are free for students. The quality of food in the mess is average to good, and you may experience the taste of Bengal. Non-vegetarian options like chicken, egg, biryani, fish, etc., are prepared three times a week.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, but you may feel a communication barrier because most of the teachers are of Bengali origin and use Bengali language in the midst of class. If you are from a rural area and weak in English, then you may encounter difficulties. Simultaneously, it is a good opportunity for learning a new culture if you are from outside Bengal.
Other: I am giving my honest answers; I am not choosing my course, instead, that course chooses me. But I felt nothing bad. The college has a total of 40 different clubs and societies. The annual and most grand fest of the college is Rebecca.

Placements: Almost 87% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered by Microsoft is 56 LPA. The lowest salary package offered by TCS is 3.53 LPA. The average salary package offered is 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Well Fargo, Deutsche Bank, L&T, Tata Steel, Vedanta, PwC, Accenture, Atlassian, etc. Around 40-50% of students got internships at MNCs like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, PwC, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. The central library is available in our college. They provide a dedicated lab to each department. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, air-conditioners, sound systems, etc. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. The hostel is good. The hostel has fans, tube lights, beds, Wi-Fi, etc. The food served in the mess is good. Our college has a canteen and a hospital. We have sports grounds. They provide games facilities.
Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, experienced, and helpful. The academic curriculum is the strength of our institute. All faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Semester exams are moderate. We can easily pass the exams.
