The college with potential.
Placements: The 2024 batch has sixty students in their final year out of which 50 students got places at decent companies with good packages. The highest package is 16 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA at Infosys. The average is 8.5 LPA. Startups like Fourkite, etc., come here for recruitment.
Infrastructure: My college library is very nice. It has a lot of space for study. The design of the library is on the top. Wi-Fi speed is decent in the college. Classrooms have smart boards. The best food is very affordable at Rs. 50 for unlimited. It is very delicious. Medical facilities are also good. The sports infrastructure is good but lacks to give a facility like football, etc. We have to arrange them for ourselves.
Faculty: As my college comes under Punjab University, the curriculum is the same as Punjab Engineering College and UIET. We have a workshop in our curriculum which makes students industry-ready. First-year professors are not very helpful as they should be but after 1st year, the second and 3rd-year professors are very helpful. They also arrange someone internships for us through their connection, IITs, IISERs, etc.
Other: In my college, the ECE department has more placements in the computer science department. In the 2024 batch, electrical and communication students got the highest packages.

It is a good government college with a low fee, and it is located in a prime location in Chandigarh.
Placements: Most ECE and CSE students get placed here. The highest salary package offered is around 15 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Companies like Cent, Godrej, Infosys, Wipro, Webmob, etc., visit here. Most students get internship opportunities. The college has a training and placement cell for placements.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi facilities, digital classrooms, a library, etc. It has proper lab facilities for our course. Labs are also good. The hostel facilities are decent, with very low fees. The hostel has a vegetarian mess. It serves decent food.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Many seniors are studying in core fields. Exams are pretty exhausting, but they are good for us. Teachers try to teach us as well as they can.

Ccet is a government college but with poor infrastructure.
Placements: Out of 70 students, only 10-12 students get placed. The highest packed is 13 Lacs. Companies like Gemini solutions come for placement. College don't help with placement and internship. No extra activities are done in college to improve our cv. College is just focusing on studies & even those are also not that good.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of the college is not good & even though there isn't any AC in the class, and even in labs, AC is not working. No actual area for extra activities. Classroom conditions are okay. The Canteen or cafeteria is not there in the college. And No established area for parking. The Only basketball court is there is not in good condition.
Faculty: Teachers are okay, And only a few teachers are there who focus on studies and support other activities. Some teachers don't even know how to teach. They treat us like school students. Keep on pointing out students based on different things. Treat us like kids. Semesters are fine, but some teachers don't like giving marks to teachers. Course curriculum doesn't make the students industry ready.

CCET-26 is a good government college for engineering.
Placements: You need to work on your own with TPC cell for placements and work on your skills. Companies don't even come here to offer free/paid internships or placements. You can work on your own to get off-campus placements. You need to start preparing from the 3rd year at least, for government exams or IT companies.
Infrastructure: The administration and faculty are a concern. Hostels are good and need more sanitation and facilities. The boys' hostel needs renovation. I don't know about the girls' hostel. The canteen could be better.
Faculty: The curriculum needs to be revised. The faculty members are good. But students need to improve themselves at every step. Students need to follow extra NPTEL/open courses to follow their engineering passion. The library timings could be revised from 9 am-5 pm. The college needs to focus more on sports and games.

Great campus life, poor management.
Placements: About 50% of the students got placed in my course. Students of my course were allowed to sit in placement of IT companies which included local startups to MNCs like Quarks, Infosys. The package ranged from 3lpa to 6lpa. There were a couple of companies which also hired for Electronics role and offered a package ranging 3-4lpa.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was good. Classrooms were decent. Library was a bit inadequate. Hostels were not good. You can't expect much from the hostel considering that this is a government college. Mess food was fine. Canteen was okayish. Medical facilities were almost non existent. Sports and games were fine. There's a large ground inside the campus where different games were organized.
Faculty: Only a handful of teachers were helpful. Only about 15-20% of the students opted to pursue career in electronics, so can't comment on the relevancy of the course in making industry ready for a career in electronics and communication. The overall teacher quality varied drastically from teacher to teacher.

I am satisfied with faculty members, facilities, infrastructure and good placements in 2019.
Placements: In our college, approximately 90% of the students from CSE and ECE departments got placed this year in companies like Gemini, EY, Infosys, Jaro Education, Godrej, Jugnoo, etc. The average salary package offered is around 7-8 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Around 60% of the students were offered an internship from ECE in companies like Jugnoo, Jaro, Gemini, etc. The top recruiter company for our course is Infosys. It is offering a job to 40% of the students of our stream.
Infrastructure: Though it is a government college, it offers good facilities like high-speed Wi-Fi everywhere inside the college campus. The library has a vast set of books which are not only based on the curriculum but also other books like novels. Classrooms are well-maintained as walls are whitewashed for every 2 years, and the floors are cleaned every day. Labs also have all the equipment, and all the facilities are available for that particular lab. Since I am not a hosteller, I don't know about hostel rooms, but the food served in the mess and canteen is not that good quality. Our college offers sports facilities, and we have a basketball court, football court, volleyball court. We also have facilities to play cricket. Medical facilities are also provided, and a doctor is available all the time in the medical room. Overall, the college offers almost all the facilities which are required in a good engineering college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-qualified, and most of them are PhD holders. Students are able to learn very well in the lectures and labs. Students also get an opportunity to perform practically from what they have learned in lectures. They are capable of working in industry after passing out of our college if they attend classes and labs regularly. Teachers here are very helpful, and students are welcomed by them even if it is not the lecture time. Thus, the college offers quality education.
Other: I have chosen ECE because it has been said that ECE is the most difficult branch of engineering and I like to go for difficult tasks and challenges. This course is very interesting as it makes us know how we are able to communicate through mobile phones and what is inside electronic devices. The college should improve the course as we are not able to perform practically for most of the things which we study theoretically and without performing. It is just cramming type of a thing. If students are made to perform practically, they will be able to learn more. Events such as the college fest named Apratim is held in October every week where all the students in the college can take part, take responsibilities and learn a lot of new things. It will enhance their communication skills. It is always a big event, and students are able to enjoy a lot. The college offers a scholarship for the top 6 students of the class. Almost 100% of scholarships are provided for the top 3 students and 50% for the next 3 students. College surroundings are very good, and there are parks, markets, other schools and colleges also. The college often conducts co-curricular activities for every 2-3 weeks.

Really good college if engineering interests you!
Placements: 1. In ECE, around 80-90% percent of the students are placed in companies like Infosys, Quark, Jugnoo, etc. As an ECE student, I'd suggest to better have knowledge of programming languages, because I think that knowledge matters and not the branch in which you are. If you've a good knowledge of programming language, then you can beat a CSE student too. 2. The highest package: 9 lac by Jugnoo Average pack: 4-5 lac the lowest pac: 2 lac 3. Top recruiters are Infosys, Bajaj, Quark, Jugnoo etc. 4. Top post is, as a system engineer. 5. From my course, 9 lac was the highest package of which I've heard of by Jugnoo. The lowest was 2 lac and average is around 4-5 lacs. 6. 70-80% in comapines like Infosys, Quark, Bajaj, Jugnoo, etc.
Infrastructure: 1. The college has a good infrastructure. Although it's quite small as compared to other colleges, still it's enough for accommodating around 1000 students of four of the branch. Here, you'll be provided a good library which consists of almost all the course related as well as reference book (Ps. - Librarian is a bit strict). Wi-Fi is allotted to students which they can access by their respective roll numbers and passwords. Wi-Fi Signal is average. Almost all the labs have well-equipped PCs, just they lack in few of the necessary components which makes our pocket light. Classrooms are large and enough for accommodating 80-100 students and each classroom has virtual board as well which makes it easier for us whenever there comes very technical thing. 2. The quality of food in mess and hostel is quite average. Although I'd recommend to have it in the nearby canteen of NITTR or go to Sector 7 as there you'd find variety of foods. Although I'm not a hosteller but I can say that the hostel lacks in medical facilities. Also, sports day is organised once in a year where many of the indoor and outdoor games are played.
Faculty: The quality of teaching is not too good but it's better than many typical government engineering colleges. Teachers are approachable, whenever you've a doubt you just go to them. No rowdy or rude kinda teachers. All the faculty members are really humble except few because exception exists everywhere. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. scholars from reputed universities and colleges and many of them have published research papers of their own. 2. The course curriculum of ECE is quite enough as we've a good knowledge of every field of ECE like antenna, signals and systems, microprocessors, microcontrollers, designing of ICs and all. It does makes us industry ready.
Other: 1. I chose this because I love to work with circuits, ICs, microprocessors and all. The best thing about this course is the subjects that it offers. All the subjects are really very interesting if you study them properly. Otherwise even maths can be boring for someone or other. 2. Improvement should be there. Like some of the topics should be removed and new topics should be added. Like we are still studying 8085 microprocessor in our course. Also, there should be more equipments and components in our labs. Sometimes, we've to purchase our own components to bring it in labs. 3. Throughout the year many events takes place, poetry, writing, nukkad natak, clean India drive, etc. Also, every year "Apratim", our technocultural takes place where around 5000+ people comes and enjoy. Campus crowd is not much. You'd hardly see 100+ students around the premises on a regular day as students are most of the time present in their respective classrooms. You can reach the college via your bike, car etc. It's very near to Sukhna lake. The biggest Grain market of Chandigarh is also nearby. Near it, NITTTR is also there along with other government colleges. Scholarship is given to Economically weaker section students as well as the first three toppers of every semester at the end of their respective graduation. Full fee refund is there to the topper at the end of their graduation. There are many clubs in this college, like Dramz for Naatal and drama, Beatles for dance, Apostle of speech for literary work, National service scheme for social work, 7 notes for singers. There are technical clubs as well like Robonox, IEEE students etc.

You can learn, discover and empower yourself at Chandigarh University.
Placements: There are good placements for students in our college. More than 400 companies visited our campus for placements until now. Our seniors are happy with their placements and knowledge they got from college.
Infrastructure: There are good labs, classrooms and medical facilities on the campus. There is also an ambulance. There must be good support for the sports coach. The campus is good. Wi-Fi facility is provided to all the students on campus. The campus is ragging free.
Faculty: The faculty members support all the students and are friendly. They help the students with their doubts. The course is good. There are projectors in every classroom for the teachers to teach. The faculty members clear our doubts in the class only.
Other: CU Fest is organised on the campus where many students come to our campus to participate in the fest. Many celebrities visit our college for movie promotions etc. Some live shows are also conducted on our campus. Our seniors are friendly with everyone.
