Our college provides good atmosphere and exposure and relatively good campus placements.
Placements: The placement scenario varies every year, and on average, there will be more than 70% placements. The highest salary package offered in 2018 is 10-11 LPA. For 2020 passed out students, the highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. Companies which visited our college for placements include Hyundai Motors, Siemens, Capgemini, Oracle from Corp campus and Fiat Chrysler and Volvo Eicher from ARAI campus. Tata Motors provides internships to students with a stipend of Rs. 25,000 per month, then after that, PPO based on their performance. Mass recruiting companies like TCS also visit this college with a salary package of 3.5 LPA. Around 50-60% of the students opted for internships in Tata Motors, Faurecia, Cummins, and ARAI, while the remaining students opted for a project in college during their 2nd year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is fine, and labs are available here. The Wi-Fi is available throughout the college, and the library is good enough. For practicals, ARAI labs are used. The hostel is available for only one student per branch for M.Tech students and is alotted based on GATE exam score. The hostel is not available for 2nd-year students, but students can avail hostel mess food which has good quality overall. The medical facility is available in the hostel. For sports and games purposes, there is a huge ground where students can play cricket, football and basketball. A badminton court is also available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and do not trouble students. Most of the teachers are doctorates. ARAI faculty members are also equally good. The course curriculum is old, but faculty members try to introduce better courses which will help students to gain practical knowledge. The 2nd-year project helps students to implement knowledge in the project and internship helps to provide exposure to industries.
Other: I chose this course because M.Tech from Corp helps to have better placement opportunities than many of other NITs. The automotive background provides many automotive companies for you. The course curriculum can be surely improved. Events and fests are organised frequently, and there are many clubs in our college. In terms of extracurricular activities, this college is superb and provides a very good campus life.

Really good infrastructure fully equipped with all facilities and ready to transform India.
Placements: The placements for our batch or the senior batch was quite good but some left unemployed. Compared to this year, last year, we had near about 70% people placed. The highest package was 10 LPA and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Companies which visited the campus are Rockwell, Philips, Honeywell, TCS, Infosys, Persistent etc. 20% of the students got internships, the highest stipend was 1 LPA and the lowest was 8k per month.
Infrastructure: Each and every facility is available for the students like Wi-Fi, labs, digital classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games. We have a special court for badminton and the ground is too huge for cricket and football. The classroom is accomplished good quality projector, air conditioner and much more. The food served in the hostel canteen is excellent and the hostel facility is also good with all comforts.
Faculty: The faculty members are well equipped with all types of knowledge and skill set. Ready to solve any doubt by the students and motivate them for the problem-solving approach. The teachers here use blackboards and advanced type of teaching using the projector. They also encourage students for journal publication and delivering a lecture. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1 (one faculty for each 10 students), the course provided was useful and got industry exposure too. The learning from the class was implemented in the industry and learnt many new things from the industry.
Other: The curriculum is quite advanced but there should be some changes, like a student should be guided to work on live problems and be trained to a solve any problem. They should be made enough confident to troubleshoot any error. Choosing a subject for the student should be made feasible. There should be no mandatory subjects.

A place where you can learn new things and so the placement.
Placements: 1) Placement is relatively good till now. 2) 17 out of 36 students get placed till date. (30th Jan). 3)Highest salary is 9 LPA (Mahindra) and lowest is Infosys (3.5 LPA). 4)Tata, Mahindra, TVS, VECV, Fiat, Hinduja tech, Hyundai, Infosys, 3DPLM and Force Motors. 5) Most of the companies offer R&D jobs on a particular part of the vehicle. If you are a master in a particular field, (engine, VD, engine design, automotive electronics) then your chances of getting placed are higher. 6) The internships offered - 1) Whirlpool (15,000 per month, one student) 2) Force Motors (7000 per month, 2 students) 3)Tata Motors (No stipend, one student) 4) IIT-Bombay (no stipend, one student) 5) ARAI (No stipend, 9 students). The rest of the students are doing their projects at COEP only.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Wi-Fi service is all around the campus, and the students can use up to 1 GB of the Internet per day. Every classroom is well-equipped (including projectors), and one central library is also there, where a student can issue 3 books at a time. The quality of labs and classrooms are nice, and one cannot complain about the classrooms of COEP. One sports ground is also there with cricket, basketball, and volleyball facilities, with badminton and table tennis courts also there. The food of the canteen is average but cheap. the rest is average and the cleanliness is up to the mark. There are a total of two canteens. The hostel rooms are 3-sharing with bathrooms, but only for BTech students, so the hostel facility is not there for M.Tech students. I have not faced any problem related to infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful in nature and they are the masters in their particular field. Almost all of them are PhD-qualified, and we had a total of 15 faculty members for our two-year curriculum. We had an industrial exposure with ARAI Pune and our automotive branch has a collaboration with ARAI Pune. We also visited Tata Motors in our second semester. The course curriculum was really helpful and we had almost all topics of automotive technology that one should know as an automotive engineer. We had the same questions in the technical interviews also from the industrial experts. All the questions that we had in our technical interviews are almost from our curriculum.
Other: If you have a talent to grasp something, then this is the best place to learn new things and you won't complain that you didn't get a chance to get placed. Please do a directional study. Find your area of interest and stick with it. you will definitely find an industry that needs you.

Other: I am proud to be an alumnus of COEP. It is one of the well-known institute in India. The best part of the institute is that it nourishes basic knowledge of the students. Variety of projects and information keeps you engaged. Technical course curriculum and laboratory facilities are the best part of this institute.

Other: The college provides very good facilities. It is one of the best institutes for the Technical Education. Placements over here are very good. The teachers are so co-operative and ready to help all the time. College of engineering has a very famous mess facility. Though the infrastructure not that good but it is well maintained.

Hello Parthra, Admissions to all PG seats in Maharashtra is controlled and supervised by DTE, Maharashtra. It's based on GATE score. For COEP, also, you have to follow same rule. Remember this is a premier Institute and GATE score as good as NITs is required.
