I am well satisfied because of exposure got to the field during the internship.
Placements: Around 2-5% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA-6 LPA. L&T is the top recruiting company for our course. Around 70-80% of the students got internships in good fields like CSIR-CBRI, bridge design, etc. Students got most beneficial things from internships, and apart from that, there was a good learning process from VIT faculty members.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure and good opportunities to expose more. Laboratories are not well maintained and lack equipment. However, the library is well maintained with good collections of books. Wi-Fi facility is available all the time. The quality of the food served here is the best. You will find varieties of meals such as South Indian meals and North Indian as well.
Faculty: Faculty members here are good but not up to the expectation. But students don't need to depend completely on faculty members. The course curriculum helps a lot as we did an internship for one year, which will be helpful to adapt to the industry. Students get the opportunity in the internship only and don't need to depend on the campus recruitment.

Review of VIT University - Vellore Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements in our college are good compared to other private colleges. The civil department students do not expect very good placements. Research is going good, and overall you will get very good exposure here. I always feel bad that I would have pursued my B.Tech over here, but I wouldn't say that M.Tech is not good. The exposure provided to M.tech students is less than B.tech students.
Infrastructure: Hostels in our college are good with enough Wi-Fi facility. Labs are well-equipped, and there are many research scholars here. Library facilities are extremely good.
Faculty: Once you have a good bond with your faculty members, then your life at VIT will be very productive. Faculty members have many contacts and much experience in their field, which will be very good for your career. Professors are experienced enough to guide you in a best-planned way. The course curriculum was good. Students can choose subjects according to their wish apart from the mandatory subjects. Since many technologies are multidisciplinary, students could learn many new things about their very interesting field by being in a different branch. So, VIT helps you to pursue your wished course though you didn't get it during the time of counselling. I know some students who are pursuing all their graduations like UG and even PhD in the same university. But it doesn't mean that they didn't get any other colleges. Students who have financial and family restrictions for going abroad are preferring their further studies here only though IITS and NIITs are available.
Other: Every club will be conducting events here. The campus is crowded so that you will get much motivation by the positive vibes around you. There is an opportunity to study at night in the library, and the queue to visit the library is usually more. This proves that how students in our college manage their curricular activities and extracurricular activities in a balanced way.

The infrastructure is good, but placements are overrated. Don't choose the civil branch.
Placements: Placements in VIT are excellent for computer science and IT students. I joined this university because of its highly rated placements. But when I faced the situation, I realised that there is very less scope for placements of students from civil and mechanical engineering departments. Only 2-3 core companies visit the campus to hire the students of our branch. Otherwise, most of the students get placed in major IT companies like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and Wipro etc. I suggest you don't choose departments like civil or mechanical or chemical or biotechnology departments in this college thinking that you can get a good placement. The average salary for all the placed students might be somewhere around 5-6 LPA. Around 15%-20% of the students get the salary package of around 8-10 LPA. As far as the internships are concerned, almost 25%-30% of the students went to do internships with stipends ranging from Rs. 10,000-25,000 per month.
Infrastructure: This college surely is one among the top 5 colleges of the country regarding its infrastructure. It has lots of separate buildings for different departments. There are various labs with well-conditioned equipment and the latest technologies. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility to all the students in hostels and some places on the campus. It has around 20 boys' hostels and 6-7 girls' hostels with clean rooms. However, these rooms are not much spacious. Some are air-conditioned, and some are not air-conditioned. Sports facilities provided here are good. There are grounds in boys' as well as girls' hostels. There are also paid services like swimming pool, gym, tennis, badminton, and karate courts, etc.
Faculty: As VIT has around 20-25 thousand students in its campus pursuing courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, hotel management, M.Sc., law, MBA and many more, it has a very huge number of faculty members. Some teachers are the best, some are average, while some are just struggling and don't know what they're doing. Most of the faculty members are very strict regarding assignments and attendance, etc. Some faculty members understand the students' pressure and their conditions, so they are very helpful. All the classrooms have both smartboards as well as a whiteboard with a marker. The course curriculum is designed to have lots of subjects from core, humanities, mathematics, and science, backgrounds. The students have to choose their own subjects, teachers, and slots before every semester to make their own time table. They can take credits ranging from 16 to 27 as per their convenience, keeping in mind that one should get 180 credits within 8 semesters.

Somewhat satisfied with the college infrastructure.
Placements: Compare to remaining private universities, VIT is somewhat better regarding getting internships, but there are no placements. If CGPA of students is good, everyone will get good outside opportunities. VIT has a good reputation outside. If you don't get a seat in IITs and NITs, VIT is a better option for M-TECH.
Infrastructure: We have a very good infrastructure in the college with facilities like good Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities, and sports and games. Compared to all other private colleges VIT is the best. There is always good support for academic projects.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is average, but you will get better support for the academic projects. The teaching quality not so good, teaching methods are good, you will find enough faculty for the students. We get average industrial experience from the college. If you want to get a job irrespective of the branch, it is better to opt software branches.

VIT is a place with great infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The placements in this particular stream are not good. They concentrate more on the B.Tech branches of CSE, IT, and ECE. The internships are good. The student exchange programme and semester abroad programme are great chances to venture abroad. IT companies like TCS, CTS, and Wipro have huge uptakes. While civil and mechanical companies take a backseat, Intel and Qualcomm are found to hire in limited numbers with the high salary package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on the campus is excellent. State of the art lab facilities and a good library are on the campus. The canteen food is neat and tasty, and it will not burn a hole through your pocket. The extracurricular and sports facilities are also good. The hostel rooms are of good quality with the proper cleaning facility. The Wi-Fi facility is available from 5 am to 12 am.
Faculty: Majority of the faculty members are IITians, so they try to maintain the standards par with the premier institutes. The course curriculum is based on FFCS, which enables the student to choose subjects that suit his/her interest. The semester projects are a must, and it hones the practical skills better. The industrial exposure is limited and depends on the staff that deals with the subjects.
Other: Riviera is a fantabulous arts fest speaking across four days of colourful events. Gravitas is the tech fest, where there is less tech but more fun activities. The campus is located 2 km distance away from railway station better get a bus when travelling to the college because autos can be unruly and make you shell out anywhere between Rs. 80 to Rs. 200. The surroundings of the campus are not particularly developed, and a few eateries venturing out is not recommended unless you get familiar with the place say after two months.

This is a good college to learn and enjoy. It helps us in grasping knowledge.
Placements: All the students here are mostly placed. 90% of the computer-based students are placed. 60% of the core-based students are placed. The internship is offered to the students from each department with a good stipend. All the major companies visit for the placements which are informed to us through the placement cell.
Infrastructure: This college has an excellent infrastructure with the fully Wi-Fi facilitated campus. The students are given all the facilities to work in our lab even late at night with prior permission. All the classrooms are smart ones with 70% of them having ACs. We have Chettinad hospital on our campus for an emergency.
Faculty: All the teachers here are PhD holders, and some of them are ongoing PhDs as well. They provide help in all aspects as possible here. We have FFCS through which the students are given the opportunities to select the staff, for example, if three teachers offer a subject, then the students are given a choice of choosing the best one out of that three.
Other: The cultural fest celebrated is Rivera, and we have a technical fest Gravitas. There are interest-based, time-based and need-based fests that are conducted. Many scholarships are provided here. There are star opportunities for the students from the low-income background.
