A safe, lively and value-for-money college with good faculty and active campus life.

Placements: In our course, around 60–70 percent of students get placed every year. The highest package goes up to around 18–20 LPA, while the average lies between 5–6 LPA, and the lowest is usually around 3 LPA. Major recruiters include Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Accenture, Wipro, Tata, and a few good startups that offer internship-cum-job roles. Almost 40 percent of students also get internships in companies like Teach For India, NGOs, marketing agencies, and ed-techs. The top roles offered are HR associate, analyst, content roles, marketing roles, and finance associate. Overall, placements are decent, especially if you are active in societies and have good communication skills.

Infrastructure: Gargi College has a clean and well-maintained campus with good Wi-Fi, spacious classrooms, and properly equipped labs for science courses. The library is one of the best parts, quiet, airy, and with a wide collection of books. There is no hostel, but PGs nearby are easily available. Canteen food is decent and affordable. The medical room is functional, and the sports ground is also well maintained. Overall, the infrastructure is not fancy, but it is comfortable and student-friendly.

Faculty: The faculty in Gargi is generally very supportive, well-qualified, and experienced. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable outside class too. The curriculum is updated and relevant, especially after the NEP changes. It prepares students well for higher studies and industry exposure. Exams are moderate, neither too easy nor too difficult. If you attend classes and study regularly, clearing exams is not a problem. The pass percentage is good for most courses.

Other: I chose this course because of Gargi’s good reputation and active campus environment. The best things about the college are the supportive faculty, vibrant societies, safe campus, and overall positive atmosphere. I wish the campus had a hostel facility and slightly more modern infrastructure, but apart from that, college life here is very enriching. There are many events, workshops, competitions, and fests throughout the year which keep the campus lively.

Above average college, faculty is really good, placement is average, infrastructure is above average

Placements: My seniors did get a great package as they were enrolled in the placement cell, and I think you should join this society when in your 3rd year. The highest package is 25 LPA and the lowest was 1 LPA. The most famous companies are Samsung, Deloitte, etc. I think maybe HR.

Infrastructure: Gargi has a good infrastructure for science students with all the chemicals and equipment. We have a new building as well, and the library is also nice. But still, the science squad is not that good. Keep in mind that it's a government college, not a private one. We don't have a hostel; you'll have to live in a PG.

Faculty: Teachers are really good and knowledgeable. Students themselves have to turn up for internships if they want a good placement, but the college provides good internships, so don't worry. 1st year is very chill, senior year gets a bit tough, but you can definitely do it.

Other: I wanted to study about animals and human behaviour, and since I am from a science background, that's why I chose this. Faculty is the best thing. College is overall good, in a safe area for girls. It holds a lot of events and has many societies which work actively. Fests are a bit average nowadays.

Gargi is definitely worth considering, it's the best college in South Campus.

Placements: Placement is not good here for Science students, only those from Arts and Commerce typically secure placements. Therefore, if you are a Science student, you should consider another college, otherwise you will likely get placed in fields other than Science, as DU is not known for placements in the Science domain.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that good, only working. We have only lab classes held in the lab only. Ventilation is not proper. Seats are not many, they are less in number, whereas the students are more, leading to congested classes. Hostel is not provided, so go for North Campus. Thank you.

Faculty: Faculty can be quite rude, though some are good. While some teach effectively, others are very rude, often scolding us and neglecting to teach. The curriculum is nice and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult, and teachers frequently deduct marks. The passing percentage is 40%.

It is a good college in terms of faculty and the infrastructure of labs and facilities.

Placements: Only commerce students secured placements. Placement opportunities in science fields are very limited. From B.Sc. Botany honors, the number of placements is very low. Not many students received placements from the college. Internships are mainly available in marketing and business through the placement cell.

Infrastructure: There is no hostel in Gargi College. The labs and classrooms have good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available in the labs. The library is well organized and usually has all the books, but copies are limited. The canteen food is average and needs improvement.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive, well-qualified, and experienced in their subjects. This course lacks some skills that could make students industry-ready. Semester examinations are average and easy to pass. A minimum of 40 or 45% is required to pass.

Other: This course is interesting and led me to explore new ways of learning and research in science. Internship and skills should be provided for better understanding by the college. Fests are good.

Canteen is not good, infrastructure is not big, there is no AC and no Wi-Fi. Overall, dissatisfied.

Placements: I do not see companies coming for student placements. Teachers are not supportive. The internship rate is zero percent. I do not know any roles offered by my course. From the placement and internship point of view, it is very disappointing because both are at 0%. All in all, it is bad.

Infrastructure: It is average, not too good. There is no Wi-Fi facility in the college, and the network area is poor. There are no proper facilities. The food tastes bad, and the canteen is not good. The cafeteria is expensive. Nescafe is very costly for daily use and doesn’t taste good. All in all, it is average.

Faculty: Teachers are not very friendly, they are strict. Though teachers are qualified, some of them have poor teaching quality. This course feels uncertain, and if it doesn’t bear fruit in the future, it will be disappointing. Exams are of moderate to difficult level.

Other: Events are below average, and fests are just okay, not too good.

I missed my college very much.

Placements: In my class, there was 1 student who got selected through placement in college and one girl also got a job after graduation somewhere that's all others took the admission for master's and some students doing coaching according to their future plans, so it depends on the students who prepared for placements. You can take the job through placement by doing a little hard work it is not very hard.

Infrastructure: My college was very beautiful, our department classrooms are big and well structured. Wi-Fi was there but the password was not provided to us, there were 2 math labs one was big so many computers were available over there software was downloaded to the computers. There was AC in the lab rooms and the other one is small this was also good, there was a common library in college and that library was fully furnished department wise and rooms were also good. But there was no hostel in Gargi College for accommodation students had to take PG or flat or rooms according.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was fine some teachers made the proper notes and some emphasis on understanding so it was fine, ultimately you have to get help from YouTube. Course curriculum was very relevant, the exams were fine not much hard if you studied in a good manner.

Other: My batch started in Corona time so it was online for half of the college time and it was open in mid of the 4th semester so it was fine. I didn't explore much, but there were many things to explore and there were many societies in the college that students must join for their personality development. Many extracurricular activities were conducted because my 12th percentage was good in my state so I got an inspired scholarship and the college also provided one scholarship.

Yes the Gargi college allow to pursue B.A.Economics Hons without maths in class 12th many of the University doesn't allow the B.A. Economics without maths but the Gargi college allow it without mathematics in class 12th so if any students is pass 12th class without mathematics then they are eligible
