The college story - Only facts.
Placements: About 75% of students get placed approximately. The lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA or 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is around 10 LPA - 11 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tejas, and many more visit the college. For internships, you have to apply online.
Infrastructure: The course is for four years. It is quite good, but you have to learn many extra things in which you can take the help of faculty. I have taken a private hostel. I do not stay in the college hostel. Rules are almost the same. You can enjoy your college life very well. There is a nice campus.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful in some fields. Otherwise, there are seniors from which you can get help with any problem. The course curriculum is a bit old but relevant. Earlier, I also said that you have to learn on your own. Semester exams are a bit tough. The passing percentage is 34% out of 100%.
Other: I got a rank according to the WBJEE exam, so I got a CSE branch. It is quite a good decision. There are many cultural events and sometimes fests also. So, you can enjoy it. The crowd is also nice and full.

Value for money, good placement, good infrastructure.
Placements: About 80% of students have been placed in the B.Tech. CSE course. 16 lakhs, 4 lakhs, and 6 lakhs are, respectively, the highest, the lowest, and the average packages offered in the course. Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and Mphasis are the top recruiters for the course.
Infrastructure: There is a well-organized library with high-speed Wi-Fi facilities. The classrooms are well-maintained, clean, and well-ventilated, with good air conditioning. The quality of the hostel is also very good. The food available in the mess and canteen is decent. Sports and games are also organized in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good; they try to make the students feel the use of any topic in real life they teach. Yes, the course curriculum is very relevant and is capable of making students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the semester exams is average.

Life is a journey, not a race.
Placements: Approximately 80% and above students get placements every year. The average salary is 4 LPA. The highest salary is 20 LPA. The mass recruiters are TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. Mostly every student tries for internships in 3rd year and many of them get them. Placements are not so good but decent.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for every department. There are different types of labs according to the department. Girls hostel is inside the campus but boys hostel is outside the campus, its approximately 2 to 3 kilometers away from the campus. Food quality is also good.
Faculty: There are all experienced and well-educated teachers. Teachers are very helpful and supportive. Every time there is any need for students they are available. There is also mid-term exam every year except 1st year. Semester exam is not so tough if one follows the class carefully.
Other: Till last year, it was worth it after that it increased the fests. And I think the syllabus and the exam pattern can be improved. In our auditorium hall there we arrange all types of events and cultural programs. But not so big level fest.

Placements: Talking about placements of CSE, during this year many prominent companies visited HIT, giving an average package of 7-8 LPA in CSE and the highest off-campus package of 1.17 CPA. About 80% of CSE students got placed, which is higher than previous years. For internships, companies like Microsoft, Amazon AWS, TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Infosys, etc. visited HIT. Many of our seniors also got internships at ISI, ISIPR, etc. Some also contributed to Google Summer of Code.
Infrastructure: The overall campus is Wi-Fi connected, has a library and also has a digital library, stepped classrooms (AC and non-AC), and multiple labs (Physics, ECE, Chemistry, Mechanical, ED, Computer, etc.). HIT only has a girls' hostel on campus, the boys' hostel is outside the campus. HIT has a canteen where you can have snacks. It has excellent sports facilities with separate grounds for tennis, cricket (big and small), basketball, football, shooting, archery, etc., with dedicated coaches for each sport.
Faculty: As a first-year student, I find all the teachers very knowledgeable and dedicated, with decades of experience. Almost every teacher is either a Ph.D. holder or has a Master's. In the first year of CSE, there are many odd subjects like Mechanical, ED, and Physics. But from the 2nd year, all subjects are relevant. Although the course is not very up-to-date, it is also not very old. The semester paper is set by MAKAUT, which is of average level.

A bit dissatisfied with the college managers, apart from this a great college with a good campus.
Placements: More than 75% of people got placed in my branch. The highest package is around 16 LPA. The lowest salary is 4 LPA, and the average salary is 7 LPA by a major section of students. Top recruiting companies are Tesla, Infosys, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro are overall the major recruiters that visit my college. Top roles are specially IT and software roles specially offered by these companies. Even core engineering roles for civil, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers are also there, and jobs are offered by companies like Godrej, Exide for mechanical, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are well and good in this college like Wi-Fi 24X7. Labs are neat and clean. Library is open till the late evening time. Mess food is just good not very good. Sports are generally played and learned like inter-college. Sports are played in colleges with ISM Dhanbad, techno colleges, Bhavanipur, inter-college dance competitions often occur in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified as well. But just a few teachers are quite strict and just teach like they don't mean whether we understand or not. But the majority of teachers are very helpful and well-qualified. Few of them are from IITs, NITs qualified, and masters done.
Other: Additionally, I would like to say that events like sports, drama, clubs like NSS, Pravasana, Ghunghruu, etc., are held. We participate in these clubs and these are top active clubs of this college. Regarding one thing fest we have never countered like college has no fest for the last four years which is a bit disappointing but in overall aspects this college is great.

A common room, equipped with major indoor games facilities like Table Tennis, Carom and Chess are available. There are excellent facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, golf and swimming managed by a Sports Officer and a Swimming Instructor.
