GATE and aspirants must visit the official website of GATE to apply for the same. The GATE 2025 application process consisted of several stages, namely registration, uploading documents, and fee payment. In the traditional application process students must apply via the CCMT's official website. students must register on the official website. To register, the students must submit their name and GATE-related details such as year of exam, registration ID, exam paper, and score out of 100. The registration process for CCMT 2025 consists of Registration, uploading the GATE Score Card, payment of the Registration Fee, and choice filling and locking. The CCMT registration fee is INR 2,500 for OC/OB and INR 2,000 for SC/ST/PwD.

The selection procedure will be inclusive of shortlisting students based on their exam scores. For the MTech course students will be given admission based on the GATE score, choices made, and seat availability. No, students can't get admission in IIITDM Kancheepuram without appearing for any of the accepted entrance exam. The institute accepts students only through entrance + counselling/ PI basis. Even for Non-GATE applicants, appearing for the institute's written test is required.
