Candidates must note that GATE 2027 registration window remains active for students to apply in two cases: submit without late fee and with late fee. Overall, the GATE 2027 application form takes place online. Candidates who want to apply must go through eligibiltiy and instructions carefully before filling the form. Register for GATE 2027

Before applying, candidates have to first register. At the time of GATE 2027 registration, applicants have to create an account at GOAPS to generate enrollment ID and password. This credentials will be used for further GATE-related activities. The details required for GATE 2027 registration are -

Steps to create GATE 2027 Password

The candidate has to choose a password during enrollment and will be needed along with the GATE 2027 enrollment ID to login to the account. The password length must be 8 to 15 characters. Keep the password safe and secure. Visit the website (from the link available), create a strong password and submit. 

Filling GATE 2027 Application Form

Uploading documents as per specifications

After filling the details, candidates must upload a scanned copy of the required documents, including photographs, signatures, and category certificates, etc. The documents must be as per specifications. Here is the list of documents that must be uploaded at time of GATE registration 2027 -

• Candidate's photograph

• PwD certificate (optional)

Making payment for the application form

After the above process, students must make the payment of the form to get acceptance. The fees have been revised this year for all categories. Once the payment is completed, candidates are advised to keep a copy of the payment receipt. The accepted payment modes include- netbanking, credit card, debit card or UPI. 

Once the payment is successful, a uniqur fee payment number will be generated. Keep the details safe for future purposes.

How to Add a Secondary Paper after Submitting GATE MTech 2027 Application Form?

If you have applied for one paper and submitted the GATE application form 2027 you can still add Paper II during the application process. To do that, follow the steps below - Visit official website of GATE and click on the application form link at GOAPS portal.

Then login using enrollment ID and password along with captcha code. After logging, the status will be displayed on screen. Candidates can also find an option to add another paper on screen. Click on paper option and select the branch paper. Pay the fees and submit the form. 

GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the GATE Eligibility 2027 (as per the last year). The details can be checked below. Candidates must note that GATE eligibility criteria for different degrees and specialisations, including qualification requirements, differ.

While filling GATE 2027 application form, candidates must keep the following documents ready -

• A recent high-quality image of a candidate's photograph of the specified requirements. 
• A good-quality image of the candidate's signature conforming to the specified requirements. 
• The candidate must upload a scanned copy of the Category (SC/ST) certificate in PDF format (if applicable). 
• A valid ID proof (uploaded in PDF format) as per the specifications. Candidates must carry the following document to the exam.
• Candidates must specify one of the following valid Photo Identity Documents (IDs): Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Passport, etc. 
• Candidate must upload PwD Certificate and specify Scribe Requirements (In case of PwD candidates)
• The candidate must upload the Certificate of Dyslexic Condition & specify the scribe requirements (In case of a dyslexic candidate)

NOTE: Candidates who are opting for the scribe facility must provide their certificate to avail the scribe assistance for the GATE.

GATE 2027 Registration: Photograph and Signature Specifications

• Candidate's photo must be recent with a white background
• Face of the applicant must cover at least 60 to 70% of the photograph
• Dimensions must be 3.5 cm length x 4.5 cm width
• Minimum file size must be between 5 to 600 KB
• It must be in JPG or JPEG format
• Maximum pixel resolution must be 530 x 690 pixels and minimum must be 200 x 260 pixels

GATE 2027 Registration: Signature specifications

• Aspect ratio must be 1:R, where the value of R must be between 2.75 and 3.75
• Must be done in blue or black ink pen
• The signature must be uploaded in JPG/JPEG Format
• The file size must be within 3 Kb to 300 Kb 
• Maximum pixel resolution is 580 x 180 pixels and minimum pixel resolution is 250 x 80 pixels
• Signature must match at the time of examination

GATE 2027 application form: educational documents required at the time of admission

During the registration process, candidates are required to submit any educational qualification details. Instead, they have to provide details regarding their educational qualification, such as college pincode, roll number, qualifying degree, etc. while filling application form.

DYSLEXIA CERTIFICATE FOR GATE Registration 2027

Such a certificate can be obtained from any Dyslexia Association. Some of them are listed below:

SCRIBE SPECIFICATIONS: 

• The scribe must not be a candidate for the GATE examination. 
• The educational qualification of the scribe must be less than the minimum eligibility criteria of GATE exam. 
• A panel of (Y+1) scribes for Y candidates will be available at the exam centre so that candidates can choose an alternative scribe for the services. 
• Candidates with scribes will get an extra 1 hour of compensatory time if their writing capabilities are limited.

How to Retrieve GATE 2027 Enrollment ID and Password?

If anyone has forgotten then credentials: enrollment ID or password, then he/she can retrieve it through the GOAPS portal. These login credentials are important as it is required throughout the admission process. To retrieve GATE MTech enrollment ID and password, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below -

• Visit GATE website
• Click on "forgot enrollment ID"
• Enter registered email ID and contact number 
• Candidates will receive an OTP on their registered email ID or phone number
• Provide one- time password, and retrive

How to Check GATE Application Form 2027 Status?

The GATE application status mentions the acceptance of your registration form. Students can check them using their GATE enrollment ID and password. The following details are mentioned in the GATE form status -

• Candidate's name
• Enrollment ID and status, whether it is approved or under scrutiny

The GATE two-paper combination can be selected when filling out the GATE 2027 application form. Candidates must choose both subjects from the allowed subject combination in the GATE exam. The paper combination is optional.

The priority subject is the primary paper; the second is termed the secondary paper. GATE organising authority can add or remove a paper/paper from the given combination during the correction window. Candidates must note that adding secondary paper is not mandatory.

GATE 2027 registration fee is different for all categories. Candidates must ensure that they pay their fees properly before the due date. The accepted payment mode include debit card/credit card/net banking, or UPI. International master and Visa cards are also acceptable for payment of the GATE application fee 2027.

NOTE: The GATE candidate registration fee 2027 is non-refundable, except when a certain combination is removed by the GATE conducting body.

Candidates must note that the application fee mentioned above does not include any service charges, processing fees, or other charges that the bank may levy. The GATE registration fee for two test papers will be twice that for a single paper. 

Note: In addition, PwD candidates with a benchmark disability of more than 40% are eligible for fee concession.

Once the payment is successful, candidates are advised to download a PDF copy of the registration form.

GATE 2027 Registration Fee Refund Policy

If the payment is received, the candidate can download the application form. If not, a fresh payment must be initiated. However, if the amount is deducted from the bank account but the payment acknowledgement still needs to be received, the money will be credited back to the source account within 15 days. Candidates are advised to make the payment beforehand to avoid the last-minute rush.

Steps to Modify GATE 2027 application form during correction process

The GATE application form correction facility is activated after the completion of the form submission. The steps to make changes in the application form are as follows -

• Select particulars and make edits, upload documents if required to confirm
• Make the payment and submit after making required changes
