- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form will be available from Apr 23, 2026, to May 2, 2026, for admission to the BE/BTech course. Also, the JEE Advanced exam 2026 will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 and session 2 exams have been concluded for IIT Jammu admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The results for session 2 might be announced on or before Apr 20, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration is open for admission to the MSc course, with the last date being set on Apr 15, 2026. Also, the first admission list will be declared tentatively on May 25, 2026.

The application fee per department is INR 300 for General/ Gen-EWS/ OBC category and INR 200 for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates. This amount is completely non-refundable. The minimum eligibility required is a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (4-year course) or a master's degree in Science with 60%-65% aggregate. Relaxation of 5% aggregate or 0.5 CPI is offered to SC/ST/PwD category candidates on the minimum eligibility score.
However, candidates who wish to apply to the MTech programme must have a valid GATE score. However, candidates are screened based on their CGPI in BE/BTech and GATE score and then the shortlisted ones are further called for a written test and interview for final seat allotment process.

Yes, GATE exam dates have been announced. The GATE application form gets released on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The exam will be conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Students will be required to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). The GATE syllabus is based on General Aptitude and Core Discipline, carrying a weightage of 15% and 85% respectively. The schedule of JEE Main counselling will be declared by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result.
