Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2020 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on June 12, 2020. According to the details available on the official website of JEE Advanced 2020, AAT 2020 result will be declared on June 16, 2020.
What is AAT?
AAT is conducted every year for the candidates who wish to take admission in the BArch programme offered by the IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee. One of the most important eligibility for appearing in AAT 2020 is to qualify JEE Advanced 2020. However, it is important for every candidate to note that admission to undergraduate architecture courses will not be as per AAT rank or score rather it will be is based on candidate’s rank in JEE Advanced.
It is mandatory for students to qualify AAT 2020 for being considered for BArch seat allotment. To appear in AAT, candidates will be required to register separately after JEE Advanced 2020 Result. Another important thing to note is that the exam conducting authorities will not issue a separate admit card for AAT 2020. Candidates have to use their JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card for appearing in the exam.
In the JEE Advanced exam, the questions are based only on PCM subjects whereas for students interested in pursuing architecture courses have to be well versed with the other aspects as well. AAT 2020 Eligibility
Candidates who are eligible to appear in JEE Main and JEE Advanced are also eligible to appear for AAT 2020. Other than that, students must fulfill the following eligibility conditions to appear for the exam:
- Candidates must qualify JEE Main and JEE advanced
- While JEE Advanced registration, students must Have opted for appearing in the AAT exam
BArch Course at IITs
AAT is conducted for admission to BArch courses conducted by IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur. For admission to architecture in any of the two IITs, candidates must qualify JEE Main then JEE Advanced and then AAT 2020. The number of seats in the BArch course conducted at IITs, as per the last academic session are:

AAT 2020 Application Form
IIT Delhi will conduct the AAT 2020 on June 12, 2020, for admission to undergraduate architecture programmes (BArch) in IITs. The result of AAT 2020 will be announced on June 16, 2020.
Archit is a national level aptitude test conducted by IITs every year for admission to BArch courses of IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee. AAT 2020 Pattern
The question paper for AAT will be available only in the English language. Candidates will be required to bring their own drawing and colouring aids. The candidates can go through the AAT 2020 exam pattern given below:

AAT 2020 Syllabus
This would comprise of simple drawing depicting the total object in its right form and proportion, surface texture, relative location and details of its component parts in appropriate scale. Common domestic or day-to-day life usable objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.
Geometrical drawing
Exercises in geometrical drawing containing lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, etc. Study of plan (top view), elevation (front or side views) of simple solid object
AAT 2020 Admit Card
AAT 2020 admit will not be issued by the exam conducting authorities separately. The students will be required to carry their JEE Advanced 2020 admit card at the exam center to appear for the exam. The admit card shall be in a good condition. On the day of the exam the students shall be also allowed to carry their own geometry sets and colours, including watercolors.

AAT 2020 Counselling
Seat Allotment for AAT will be done on the basis of All India category-wise Rank secured by aspirants in JEE Advanced. JoSAA holds the joint seat allocation process for admissions to 100 institutes including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 Other GFTIs. Admissions to all the undergraduate academic programs offered by these 97 institutes will be made through a single platform.
