JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card: IIT Madras has released the JEE Advanced admit card 2024 link on the official website. Now, candidates can download their JEE Advanced admit card from the official website jeeadv.ac.in and also using the link on this page below. To access the JEE Advanced 2024 admit card link, use your JEE Main 2024 application number and date of birth. The admit card has been also sent to the registered email ids of the candidates. Remember that the JEE Advanced hall ticket will only be available for download until the day of the exam, May 26.

Your JEE Advanced admit card 2024 will contain important details such as the exam date, time, reporting time, exam centre venue, and other instructions for the exam day. Don't forget to take a printout of your downloaded admit card and bring it along with a valid original photo identity card. Acceptable forms of photo ID include Aadhaar Card, School/College/Institute ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, and Notarized Certificate with a photograph. Check the issues you can face while downloading the admit card for JEE Advanced 2024:

  • Server issues: Once JEE Advanced hall tickets will be released, successful applicants can download their respective admit cards. The server may be down due to a sudden traffic surge on the website.
  • Incorrect credentials: Candidates who forgot their login credentials will not be able to download JEE Advanced admit card 2024. However, they can retrieve their password by clicking the ‘Forgot Password’ tab on the official website.
  • Slow internet: This is one of the most common issues faced by JEE Advanced aspirants while downloading the admit card.

What to Carry With JEE Advanced Admit Card on the Exam Day?

On the exam day, candidates must make sure they have the following items with them without fail:

  • JEE Advanced 2024 admit card
  • Original photo identity card (any one of the following: Aadhaar Card, School/College/Institute ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Notarized Certificate with photograph)
  •  Pens
  • Pencils
  • Drinking water in a transparent bottle
  • Candidate may carry/wear a simple analogue watch
  •  Candidates must wear a mask and carry hand sanitiser (up to 50 ml in a transparent bottle)

Q:   Do candidates need to carry their OBC Certificate along with the JEE Advanced admit card?

A:

No, applicants need not carry their Caste Certificate along with the Joint Entrance Examination admit card on the exam day. A caste Certificate is required for counseling. List of documents for verification on counseling time: 1- Seat Allotment Letter 2- Admit card for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 3- Proof of Date of Birth: Class 10, High School Certificate Birth Certificate or Any Other Certificate as proof of date of birth. 4- Photo Identity. 5- Class 12, Senior Secondary College, Equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing. 6- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment. 7- Two passport-size photographs. 8- Category Certificate (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, or this issued by the competent authority. 9- Duly filled Medical Examination Report 10- For foreign nationals: Attested photocopy of the page in the passport containing photo, name, and nationality.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Date and Time

JEE Advanced 2024 exam date is May 26. The exam will be held in one day and two shifts:

  • Paper 1: 09:00 am to -12:00 pm
  • Paper 2: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Candidates have to appear for both papers. If a candidate is absent in any paper, their candidature will be cancelled.

JEE Advanced 2024 Dress Code

As per the instructions, the candidates must not wear any of these items at the JEE Advanced exam centre:

  • Charm/taweez
  • Items containing metals such as rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches, clothes with big buttons

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates can check below some important exam day instructions to follow for JEE Advanced 2024:

Reporting related:

  • Candidates must arrive well in advance at the examination center and complete all necessary formalities as specified in the admit card. Examination centres will open at 7:00 am.
  • Candidates who arrive after the start of each paper (09:00 IST for Paper 1 and 14:30 IST for Paper 2) will not be allowed to take the exam. The main entrance of the examination centre will be closed at these times.
  • There are currently no COVID-19 related restrictions issued by the Government of India, but any updates will be communicated via the JEE (Advanced) 2024 website.

Exam hall entry related:

  • All candidates must have a printed copy of their downloaded admit card and a valid original photo identity card (such as Aadhaar Card, School/College/Institute ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, or Notarized Certificate with photograph) with them for the examination. Only those with both documents will be permitted to write the exam.
  • The candidate's identity will be verified by invigilators and IIT representatives at the examination centre. If there's any doubt about the identity, the candidate might not be allowed to take the exam initially, but may be permitted provisionally at the discretion of IIT authorities after completing certain formalities. No extra time will be given for completing the exam due to these formalities.
  • Impersonation or using unfair means during the exam will result in disqualification from JEE (Advanced) 2024 and any related admission processes and could lead to legal action.
  • All candidates will undergo extensive frisking before entering the examination centre, with specific instructions provided by JEE (Advanced) 2024 regarding frisking, especially for female candidates.

Inside the exam hall:

  • Inside the examination hall, only pens, pencils, transparent bottles of drinking water, the downloaded admit card, and an original photo identity card are allowed. Items such as watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited, along with any papers, writing materials, calculators, or bags.
  • Candidates are advised against wearing items containing metals or charms and are encouraged to wear open footwear like chappals or sandals. Any item that could be used for unfair means or to hide communication devices is not allowed.
  • Candidates must remain present in the examination hall for the entire duration of each paper and cannot leave before specified times.
  • Appearing in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is mandatory for evaluation/grading.
