IIT Kharagpur Merit-cum-means scholarships are offered to award and support meritorious students. Under this scheme, every year, the college awards these scholarships to 25% of the students admitted to the undergraduate courses.

IIT Kharagpur cutoff 2025 was released for admission to BTech(Hons), BSc courses and their specialisations, as well as for the BArch course for all rounds and categories under the All India quota.

The last round cutoff in 2025 ranged from 466 to 19141 for the General AI category students, wherein BTech (Hons) Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest branch to get admission to. On the other hand, the easiest course for admission was the Bachelor of Architecture.

IIT Kharagpur JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been released for round 3. The cutoff was released category-wise for students seeking admission to the BTech/Integrated BTech/BSc specialisations at the college. For candidates belonging to the General AI category, the cutoff ranks varied between 450 and 18182. As per the cutoff range, it is possible to get admission to the college at 10,000 rank in JEE Advanced. The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer Science and Engineering is 279 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.

IIT Kharagpur offers BTech and Integrated BTech courses based on JEE Advanced scores. Based on candidates' scores, the institute released the IIT Kharagpur cutoff 2024 for various categories belonging to the All India quota. As per the last-round, the JEE Advanced cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering programme stood at 415 for the General AI category candidates. The IIT Kharagpur salary details for 2025 placements have not been released officially. As per the data fetched from multiple media reports, the IIT Kharagpur highest package offered so far during 2025 placements was above INR 2.14 crore per annum. As per official brochure, 1,811 offers were made to the 2025 batch.

Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hall of Residence is the largest hostel in terms of area and facilities. Lal Bahadur Shastri Hall of Residence construction completed in 2010 is a modern state-of-the-art hostel. It is a very spacious hostel and has many blocks in it. Apart from LBS Hall of Residence, there are several other hostels on the campus of IIT Kharagpur.
