BSc at IIT Kharagpur is a four-year UG-level programme offered with six specialisations for students to choose from. The Science and the HSS Department of IIT Kharagpur started four-year BSc programme admission to which is subject to a valid rank in JEE Advanced exam. IIT- KGP BSc scholarship includes Merit cum Means scholarship. Under this scheme, the college supports meritorious students by providing them finical aid. IIT Kharagpur scholarships are awarded to 25% of the students admitted each year to the Undergraduate. For fresh entrants, the student should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate or a grade corresponding to 60% marks in the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced. Yes, in order to take admission in BSc at IIT Kharagpur, candidates need to appear qualify JEE Advance. JEE Advance or Joint Entrance Examination is conducted by one of the IITs every year by rotation under the supervision of a Joint Admission Board, which comprises of representatives from all the IITs. Interested students must first qualify JEE Mains in order to appear for JEE Advance.
In order to be eligible to apply for BSc courses at IIT Kharagpur, candidates must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Moreover, candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. The IIT Kharagpur cutoff 2026 is expected to be released in June 2026. The students who are waiting for the 2026 cutoff can check the previous years cutoff to get a clear idea. In 2025 the overall BTech cutoff ranged from 466 to 11111 for students belonging to the General AI quota.
