Nice college with good research facilities but short of placements due to remote location.
Placements: Most of the computer science students get placed but mechanical and core branches placements are less. The highest package offered was 13 lpa. All major companies have come like Google, Microsoft in computer science.
Infrastructure: Facilities are nice and all new technologies are majorly present. Internet facility is okay not that good. All teachers are helping in nature. Sports is encouraged. Food and medical facilities are good and sanitation is followed. Greenery and college environment is nice.
Faculty: Faculty are nice, not that proficient like that in old IITs. Some faculty members are very nice. Course curriculum is like a generalized information module for energy systems not very detailed. The course curriculum is not that good as per industry as in industry a combination of various concepts of electrical or mechanical is required.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology Mandi.
Placements: Around 100% of the students got placed in our course in companies like Cognizant, KPIT and Cummins. The highest salary package offered was 6.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our course are KPIT, Cummins, etc. All the students got an internship in our course. The top role offered was as a software developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college and in the hostel were very good. Wi-Fi was provided in the hostel. The food served was very healthy and was on time. The library of our college was also very good. There were more than 50,000 books in our library. There was a canteen in the college. Medical facilities were very good because there were an ambulance and a doctor available in the college. There were cricket ground, football courtable and table tennis in the college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful and well qualified. They were holding PhDs and post-doctorate. Even they were helpful during placements. They always treated students as their friends. The course makes students industry-friendly.
Other: I chose this course because I like mechanical engineering. The best thing about this course is that it gives more practical knowledge. Every year a fest is organised in college. Workshops and cricket tournaments are also held in college every year.

Satisfied with the faculty, facilities and infrastructure but dissatisfied with the core placements.
Placements: This institute is new, but among all the new IITs, it stands at the top in terms of growth and development. The placements are average. The placements are best in the software domain and not for mechanical and electrical branches. The highest package offered was Rs. 28 Lacs per annum. Overall, the placements were average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is awesome. The campus is beautiful. Hostel rooms are very good and equipped with all the amenities. As far as the labs are considered, all the highly sophisticated instruments are available in labs. Wi-Fi facilities are awesome. Food available in the canteen is average.
Faculty: The faculty are the best, especially all the professors have huge experience in teaching and research. They are very friendly. They opt teaching methodology according to the students' wish. We get industry exposure. The course curriculum is more of interdisciplinary.
Other: Annual sports, inter-hostel fest, cultural fest and all other activities are organised every year.

IIT Mandi is one of the best colleges in India to live.
Placements: Our batch was 2016-2018. Almost 40% of the students got placed. The highest package offered was 25.5 LPA and the lowest package offered was 3.5 LPA and the average package offered was 14.5 LPA. A top recruiting company is ITC. The roles offered were a business analyst. The highest package offered in our course was 5.5 LPA, the average package offered in our course was 4.5 LPA, and the lowest package offered in our course was 3.5 LPA. Almost 80% of the students got an internship in Medsamaan company. IIT Mandi is one of the best colleges in India.
Infrastructure: There is top of the mark lab facilities. The hostel quality is top in India, and there is excellent mess quality. There are excellent ambience and location of the college. The hilly area of the college is impressive.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and friendly. Faculty were able to solve the problem at any instant, and faculty were too genuine. Faculty have the worst knowledge of the subject, and I loved the concept of interdisciplinary research. The college offered wonderful tracking weekend trips.
