IIT Roorkee BSc Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Fees, Placements, Admission Process

Yes, in order to take admission in IIT Roorkee BSc courses, candidates must first qualify JEE Main. Students who qualify JEE Main are then required to register and appear for JEE Advanced. This exam is conducted by one of the IITs every year by rotation under the supervision of a Joint Admission Board, which comprises of representatives from all the IITs. IIT Roorkee makes the selection based on candidate’s rank according to the merit in JEE Main+ JEE Advanced.

Once the JEE Advanced results are out, students must register for JoSAA counselling. It is a centralized counselling process for admissions to premier Indian institutions including IIT Roorkee. The steps to log into JoSAA counselling account is as follows:

Students interested to get admission to IIT Roorkee BSc courses are required to appear for the qualifying examination which is JEE Advanced. The registrations for the said exam are now live. The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) at IIT Roorkee other than General category are - 5783 for OBC, 3162 for SC, 1382 for ST, 2804 for EWS. For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering was 5075 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this.
