IIT Roorkee BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Roorkee BSc is a four-year UG-level programme offered with six specialisations spread across different fields of study. IIT Roorkee also offers a five-year Integrated MSc programme for students willing to pursue a PG-integrated course.
Interested candidates must have passed 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate to be eligible to apply for IIT Roorkee BSc courses. Further, admissions to both these courses are based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores, followed by JoSAA counselling.
Fees: IIT Roorkee BSc fees range between INR 8 lakhs to INR 10 lakhs depending on the chosen course. This fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. For admission, students are required to apply for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced for admission to IIT Roorkee BTech. IIT Roorkee BSc admissions dates have been released. IIT Roorkee BSc admissions are made based on marks obtained in JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Students who have qualified JEE Main, and wish to appear for JEE Advanced can now start registering as the JEE Advanced dates are out now.

STEP 1: IIT Roorkee BSc Application Process 2025
In order to apply for BSc and Integrated MSc courses at IIT Roorkee, students must first apply for JEE Main. The registration for JEE Main starts around the month of February and the exam is conducted around the month of April.
Step 2: JEE Advanced Registration 2025

IIT Roorkee BSc 2025 FAQs
Yes, in order to take admission in IIT Roorkee BSc courses, candidates must first qualify JEE Main. Students who qualify JEE Main are then required to register and appear for JEE Advanced. This exam is conducted by one of the IITs every year by rotation under the supervision of a Joint Admission Board, which comprises of representatives from all the IITs. IIT Roorkee makes the selection based on candidate’s rank according to the merit in JEE Main+ JEE Advanced.
In order to be eligible to apply for BSc at IIT Roorkee, candidate must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75%. Moreover, interested students must qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced exam. Admissions to IIT Roorkee BSc courses will be made based on merit in JEE Main+ JEE advanced and seat availability intake of IIT Roorkee.
IIT Roorkee concluded its Phase-2 placements in the month of April. However, BSc courses specific data is not available. In terms of overall UG placements, IIT Roorkee was able to provide good placements to its students. According to media reports, 23 international and in total 802 offers were grabbed during Phase-1 placements. No, you cannot apply for B.Des programme at IIT Roorkee even if you have cleared the UCEED Entrance Exam because Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in 10+2. But you can apply for B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.
