The college is in the lap of nature. It is home away from home.

Placements: A majority of students from our batch got placed in reputed companies. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft India, Mastercard, JP Morgan, Oracle, Oyo, TCS, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placements. Almost all students got placed. Some students opted for higher studies, and some went for civil services exam preparation.

Infrastructure: Our hostel is awesome. Radhakrishanan Bhawan has free unlimited Wi-Fi, LAN, gym, canteen, TV room, elevator, indoor game complex, etc. The department of mathematics has a library, free Wi-Fi, and great supportive professors. The quality of food served in the hostel was average. But breakfast used to be great at our time. Classes are conducted in the lecture hall complex, which was at a distance of 10-15 minutes from our hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are highly intelligent, and their quality is as par course. They are really helpful in our courses. The course curriculum is great, and even a lot of core branches students take our courses as additional. Semester exams are not that tough to pass. If a student takes classes seriously and studies for a decent amount of time, then they can easily get good grades.

Other: I have chosen this course because this course is a lot similar to computer science. A person can easily get placed in top companies by getting familiar with courses. Fest-wise, the college is legendary. It conducts Uttarakhand youth festival named Thomso every year. It conducts a technical fest named Cognizance, Sankalp named Social Fest, etc., throughout the whole year.

Really good campus life, beautiful campus and nice coding culture.

Placements: This year placement was 100% (all students registered for placements are placed in applied mathematics). The highest package: 43.31L/annum and Median: 20.75L/annum. Microsoft, JP Morgan, Goldman Sach, Adobe are the top recruiting companies. 70% of students got an internship in some of the top companies like Adobe, Amazon, JP Morgan, Sprinkler. The top roles are in Software, Finance.

Infrastructure: There are separate labs in each department and high-speed internet works 24*7. The library is well-equipped with high-speed Internet as well as Air Conditioners. The quality of mess food is decent. There is a canteen in each hostel. There is an Institute hospital that offers free treatment for students of IIT Roorkee as well as free medicines with well-skilled doctors. There is a ground (as well as a court) for almost every sport so that every student can explore his interest in various sports.

Faculty: Faculty members are very skilled and they themselves completed their education from top universities in the world. Teaching quality is also decent. All relevant courses (for your branch) are taught which helps students get ready for industry and grabs good placements in the desired company.

Other: I choose this course because it has all the important subjects which is a must for getting jobs in CS companies and placements are also very good. Events like thomso (the largest cultural fest of north India), Coginzance (Asia's largest tech fest) are organized here.

Placements: Placements in our college are excellent. The average salary package offered is 22 LPA, and it provides 100% placements. All the top product-based companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe and Amazon visit our college for placements. As this is a 5-year course, you can get an on-campus internship in 4th year. The best part is you will have 1 year extra to explore crazy things.

Infrastructure: The mathematics department has all necessary and important facilities like high-speed Wi-Fi and air-conditioned computer labs. The infrastructure is not good, so now they are expanding. The new building will have a good infrastructure by 2020 academic year. The hostels have good facilities. Food served in the mess is better in girls hostel than boys hostel. The canteens are pretty good and are available for 24x7. Our college has a separate hospital and amazing facilities. Apart from this, you can explore almost every sport, and each sport has a specialised coach.

Faculty: The course curriculum of Applied Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is one of the best in the institute. The course curriculum has almost everything that is required in placements. Professors in our college are very helpful and highly qualified. They can help you out with any circumstances. This course is considered almost equivalent to computer science. All the top product-based companies recruit students from here, and if someone wants to go for research, they can easily pursue.

Really good infrastructure, placement and college life.

Placements: Applied Maths batch presented a stunning placement with 100% of students being placed. Top recruiting companies include Adobe, Microsoft and Genpact. Adobe bagged the top 3 students giving the highest offer of 38 LPA CTC, while the average CTC was 20.76 LPA (Lacs per annum), and the lowest was 15 LPA. The top roles offered were for Software developer, Finance Analyst, Applied Mathematician and Technologist. In internships also, all students have succeeded in getting an intern, of which majority got an on-campus intern itself. The companies for internship included prestigious names like American Express, Adobe, Flipkart, Amazon and Myntra.

Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are spacious and airy. The hostels are clean overall and have a stationary shop, fruit shop, washing machine room, gym, and tv room. An ironing lady, and beauty parlour lady sits every afternoon to cater to the needs of the girls. Canteens run 24/7 so that students are never hungry and the cost is also nominal. The mess gives a well balanced diet, which though cannot be compared to home food, is pretty good, and also includes a sweet everyday with dinner (yum!). The department consists of air-conditioned labs, and classrooms, with amazing Wi-Fi where students can go and study whenever they want. It also has a departmental library and the offices of all professors and staff. The building has become quite old but a new one is under construction.

Faculty: The course curriculum is very relevent in today's times as it has several subjects of computer Science also, which help the students in being eligible for companies which earlier used to recruit only computer Science students. It is mostly theoretical and not many lab subjects are there. Also, there are a few unrelated courses in the curriculum. On an average classes are for 19 hours a week, which also include tutorial classes for problem solving. The professors are qualified and very knowledgeable, as can be expected from such a premier institution.

Other: The campus has a plethora of extracurricular activities to choose from including sports, debate, music, drama, stand-up, social welfare and many more. The campus is very close to the Himalayas which makes it great to go on weekend trips to hill stations like Mussourie, Manali and Dehradun. There are two major college fests: Thomso (Cultural Fest in October) and Cognizance (Technical Fest in March). I chose this course because I liked maths and Roorkee was not very far from home. Overall the campus life is great and everyone who graduates says that they have spent the best 4/5 years of their life here.

Review of IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Our entire batch got placed. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Adobe, JPMS, Cisco, Rupeek, Dunnhumby and many others. All students are offered internships during the on-campus internship session with the same companies as there were during placements. Most of us have been offered to work in software, data science and business analyst profiles.

Infrastructure: Every facility is provided here like Wi-Fi, LAN, a superb library, world-class lecture halls, world-class laboratories, sports complex with almost every game, 24x7 hospital, and even the nightlife is great. Quality of food is great. However, the taste may vary from every day.

Faculty: Professors here are knowledgeable, but they won't care much for you. You have to care for yourself. Lectures are good, but self-study would be the key to success. The course curriculum is perfect. There was so much to learn, and you could literally use it in practical life.
