Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class 12th (or equivalent examination): Candidate must have passed class 12th (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects with the mentioned marks in aggregate (The aggregate marks for PwD candidates should be at least 65%). OR Candidate must have passed class 12th (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and be within the category-wise (category as per the central list) top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class 12th (or equivalent) board examination. Other mandatory Criteria: Candidate should have appeared for the Class 12th (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. IIT Roorkee has 10 boy hostels, 3 girl hostels, and 6 hostels for married candidates. The campus has a new co-ed hostel, Vigyan Kunj. Hostels may accommodate Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, along with doctoral students.
