IIT Roorkee MTech Highlights 2024

The institute offers 41 MTech specialisations along for Engineering graduates. All these MTech specialisations are offered for a duration of two years and is divided into a semester pattern. IIT Roorkee admission 2021 to MTech programme is based on a valid GATE score obtained by eligible candidates. The seat allotment process is then carried out through COAP Counselling. On the basis of GATE score, the merit list is prepared by the board and then offered seats on the basis of availability of seats at the institute. On acceptance of the seats through COAP portal, the candidates can reserve their seats by paying an admission fee to the institute.

However, candidates who possess a regular BTech degree from IITs with a CGPA of greater than 8.0 on a 10-point scale are offered direct admissions, while sponsored category candidates can apply for MTech programme in both full-time and part-time modes, provided they possess relevant work experience. Sponsored category candidates are offered admission based on candidate’s performance in written test and PI rounds.

IIT Roorkee offers admission to a few of the Integrated programmes based on a candidate’s performance in JEE Advanced score. Eligible aspirants need to qualify for course and college-specific cut off rank released by JoSAA through seven rounds of counselling. These programmes are offered for a duration of five years, comprising 10 semesters. The eligibility criteria required to qualify for admission to any of these courses offered at IIT Roorkee is given below:

Absolutely satisfied. Placements are very good, which makes this a perfect Tier 1 college.

Placements: Honestly, 95 percent of students get placed in our department. The highest package is 1.20 crores per annum, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Deloitte, Jio, and many others. All students get internships in the 2nd year. Top roles are HR, product management, etc.

Infrastructure: Hostels are excellent, with single rooms available. Classrooms are five-star and fully air-conditioned. The library is impressive, with all types of books available. The food in the mess is very good, fresh, and hygienic. All types of sports are also available.

Placements: Campus placement is not too much, rarely company comes for this branch, for architects this course is not useful but the good thing is students are placed by self. Most student goes into the research/teaching sector. A little bit of trouble for architecture graduates.

Infrastructure: The college has amazing infrastructure they have a well-equipped lab for every subject with co-ordinating person and PhD scholars for guidance. College has huge scale events Thomson hostel life is awesome. Mess is awesome. Non-veg food is not available in the mess.

Faculty: The faculty is amazing, and very nicely treated in the whole programme. Faculty are very well qualified and best in nature, they are very good, student-friendly faculty but strict in study marking and exams. A relative marking system is there. Fun life.

Faculty members and the environment of our college are excellent.

Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, BPCL, Reliance etc. Almost 33% of the students got an internship in BPCL, IOCL, HPCL, GAIL and Tata Steel. This course has career opportunities in the oil sector, polymer sector and fertiliser sector.

Infrastructure: There is a big hostel with all facilities like a gym, library and a big ground. The hostel has Wi-Fi and LAN network. The mess is awesome, and the food is good and very delicious with various varieties. Especially breakfast is very healthy and good.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent, and they have innovative ideas. About 2 professors have got ranking in the world top 2% scientists, and the name of two professors are ID Mall and Vimal Chandra Srivastava. Teaching quality is awesome, and teaching methods are impressive.

The best college I ever come across of.

Placements: 30% of the student are placed the highest salary 9 LPA the lowest 7lpa average 8.5 LPA willies tower is the top company junior researcher the highest is 9 LPA average 8.5 LPA and the lowest being 7 LPA almost 100% of the student got internship in company and placement is less.

Infrastructure: Superb lab facility in the campus infrastructure available is best of the quality class room are way better than any institute fully equipped with any facility should be in a class the quality of food and everything is best of them and it is also upto the mark and also economical for anyone to use.

Faculty: Teacher are over qualified and way a lot helpful and expert in their field the teaching quality is best in country. the curriculum is design according to the industry needs and keeping what a industry expect from a student to have the knowledge which is required.

Other: It is a industry based course everything is best all the fest and facility is best in country.
