It's a great college experience, so don't worry if you get into Manipal; you're in for a treat.
Placements: Placements are the highest in the CSE branches and are decent in Electrical and Electronics branches, ranging from 15-45 LPA. For core branches like Mechanical, Chemical, and Mechatronics, companies come and give a decent package between 8-16 LPA. Many great companies like Amazon, JPMC, Goldman, and Fidelity come to hire. Even consulting groups are popular.
Infrastructure: The hostels are good, more on the expensive side, but there are cheaper hostels too, which have decent Wi-Fi, laundry services, and clean bathrooms. We have AC hostels and Non-AC ones too; even Non-AC ones are comfortable enough as the weather is good.
Faculty: Teachers are okayish; some are really good, some are just fine, and some could make you hate the subject, but then that's everywhere. Department professors tend to be better compared to the ones in the 1st year. Lab professors tend to be more strict, while theory course professors are lenient and would try to help you in any way.
Other: We have two fests, a tech fest and a cultural one, both of which are really good. The crowd is good; you'll find someone similar and many unique individuals.

Review of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
Placements: More than 85% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 45 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Hindustan, etc. Almost 90% of students got internships in our course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is fast and the laboratory is well maintained. Classrooms are spacious. The library is huge. Wi-Fi is enabled. Air-conditioners are also available. It has study halls. Hostels are better. It depends on our grades. The food served in the canteen is average. Medical facilities are excellent for students as there is a hospital right next to the main gate. There is a huge ground for sports.
Faculty: Teachers always help us with our doubts. They also prepare ppts for classes and they also share notes with students. Semester exams are averagely tough but with enough practice, we can pass. Few subjects are very hard to pass but the passing marks are based on grades.
Other: Games and competitions are also held in this college.

It has helpful teachers, good placements, an extremely beautiful campus, and good hostel facilities.
Placements: About 90-95% of the students get placed from the chemical branch. Top companies recruiting companies are Reliance and Tata. Top roles offered for students is in research and sales. They also get opportunities to work in the best refineries in Asia owned by Reliance petrochemicals.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are very good and quite modern. The warden and chief warden are very kind and helpful. The mess food is very tasty, nutritional, and healthy. There is a hospital nearby with discount treatment for all students. There are two parks on campus and many gyms near the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful, and accomodating to any emergency. The course is very informative and will be helpful to anyone wanting to pursue chemical engineering. The semester exams are not tough but aren't very easy also. You will have to study hard to pass each and every one of them.
Other: This course is very beneficial if you want to do an MBA as your master's degree to ensure high-quality packages. Focusing on campus life there are many clubs hosted and many college fests too.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The college is known for very good placements, especially in core branches. The placement rate is above 95% in core branches. The highest package offered was nearly 45LPA, and the average package is nearly 12 LPA. Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft and IBM come to the campus for placements. The college in tie-up with Internshala makes sure that students are exposed to many internship opportunities by providing the information about it and also helps in getting all the required skills. The minor program is also a boost to the resume of students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is decent, with 200 GB per month per student at a speed of around 50 Mbps. Students can get extra data also by paying some amount. Labs are top-notch with all the required facilities. Classrooms are very spacious with all arrangements. Students can get very good classroom experience. Manipal is on par with any digital advancements, and we have the country's educational advancement. The library is one of my favorite places. Multiple copies of all required academic and other books are present. Students don't have to worry about buying any since libraries provide all the books. Hostel rooms are good with all required facilities of electricity, water etc. The quality of food in the mess is decent. Since there is KMC, medical facilities are top-notch. MIT Manipal has the best sports facilities in our country, with one among the big stadiums providing opportunities for every sport.
Faculty: The teachers have huge experience. Each department has a sufficient number of faculty members. They are very helpful and supportive. They are very eager to solve any doubt that students come up with. The course curriculum is relevant since it is revised when there's a need. Manipal MIT is always thoughtful in introducing new courses when there is a need. Students fraternity are wonderful.
Other: I chose it since it is very reputed. Events and fests are wonderful. The connectivity is not at all an issue. Surroundings are pollution-free. There is a lot of scope for learning and extracurricular activities.

Overall Mit is with very well maintained infrastructure and good faculty.
Placements: I am still in my first year so I can't tell my personal experience regarding the placements. But according to what I have collected from other people the placements are above average. It can also depend on the student if he/she is very good the can bag a package at the higher end of the scale.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the lab, classroom and library have very well maintained infrastructure. The Wi-Fi can highly depend on the place, so speed is okaish. The hostels are well maintained and the staff is kind and helpful. Each student can facilitate free medical consultation at kmc.
Faculty: The teachers are nice, helpful and definitely knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. We receive pdf's and study material from the teachers and the lectures are also recorded and uploaded on an app so that the student can go through them if required.
Other: The campus crowd is amazing and fun. The surrounding is good. The institute has a number of clubs for extracurricular activities.

Overall the college is good but there are many other options available.
Placements: B.Tech chemical engineering, batch 2022. I don't know answers to any questions. I just took the branch because it was the best branch I was getting. Also I didn't have any interest in physics. And it has maths so I like that. The chemistry in 2nd year is easy.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi isn't very good. Maximum speed you get is 500kb/s. And the speed varies in different blocks of the campus. For the 1st year 19th,20th block it is the best hostels in the campus. Then from next year's 14th or 15th block is best for AC. You just have to get good marks for good rooms.
Faculty: The teachers aren't of good quality. Some of them are good but the average teachers are about 6.5/10. Which is very low for the money they take 16 Lacs for 4 semesters. The curriculum is good. The students can study it. Just in the first year they teach bio that's not relevant at all.
Other: I choose this course if has maths in it and also I wasn't getting any better branch. I was getting EEE but it is a very tough course in this country so I didn't take it.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 70% of the student who attended placements got placed. The highest package is 16 LPA, the lowest is 3.2 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, Deloitte. Top roles offered were Software Engineer. The highest package offered in my course is 6.5 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 4.2 LPA. 40% of the students got the internship in my batch.
Infrastructure: The classes were held in AC classrooms, and there's a different building for our labs. The labs had proper updated equipment which helped us to understand our course better. We had access to Wi-Fi throughout the campus and had a library with individual and group study halls. The campus had a number of hostels with access to multiple messes. Medical facilities were available for MIT students at a nominal cost at the nearby KMC hospital. The college had gym's in the campus and had access to Marena, which was a sports complex with different sports, including swimming and squash.
Faculty: Teachers are required to complete their Masters and PhD in their respective fields. The quality of teaching is great, and the teachers are available even after the teaching hours to solve doubts. The course can be updated a little to make the students more industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in petrochemicals, and the course is more relevant to industry standards. The fests are an amazing and enjoyable time for the students to relax.

Eligibility to get seat at Manipal Institute of Technology is 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade, or any equivalent examination can apply for admission. Further there is no provision of sport quota in B. Tech admission.

SAT scores are not acceptable to get admissions in Manipal. Since your son is a US National, he does not necessarily have to give the entrance test. There is a separate direct admissions criteria for NRIs and foreign nationals since their academic curriculum is very different from general courses in
