National Institute of Technology, Calicut, also known as NIT Calicut, is one of the oldest NITs in India and has been ranked 2 under the 'Architecture and Planning' category and 21 under the 'Engineering' category by NIRF 2025. The college offers a wide range of programmes to students, mainly in the Engineering and Technology fields. Further, the college has a decent connection with top-notch companies such as Accenture, ADP, Amazon, Amdocs, Baja Auto, American Express, etc. 

Yes, the technology institute offers MSc in Physics as a full-time course. Admission to the course is through IIT JAM followed by CCMN counselling. The seat intake for the course is 25. In addition, the total tuition fee is INR 30,000. However, the mentioned fee and seat intake is as per unofficial sources and thus may vary.

National Institute of Technology, Calicut is one of the top-ranked Architecture institutes in India. The institute has been ranked 3rd in the 'Architecture' category,  25th in the 'Engineering' category, and 76th in the 'Management' category by NIRF Ranking 2024. NIT Calicut has a seat intake of 52 for the two-year MCA course. In addition, the total tuition fee sums up to INR 2.1 lakh. As per unofficial sources, the total tuition fee of the five-year BArch course offered at NIT Calicut is INR 6.25 lakh. The hostel charges are up to INR 3.41 Lacs and a one-time fee payment of INR 31,500 is also required for admission. The application fees for JEE Main is

• INR 1,000 for Male unreserved, OBC, EWS category candidates
• INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category candidates

Apart from JEE Main, NIT Calicut offers admission to BTech course based on DASA UG scores. Based on cutoff 2020, 2021 and 2022, NIT Calicut cutoff for Round 1 Seat Allotment can be expected to range as follows: 

For B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering it must range between 268 and 449 

For B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering it must range between 724 and 747

For B.Tech. in Engineering Physics it must range between 190 and 656

For B.Tech. in Materials Science and Engineering it must range around 505 

 NIT Calicut cutoff 2025 was announced for the OBC AI and OBC HS categories. For the OBC AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 160 to 57399. On the other hand, for the OBC HS quota, the cutoff varied between 77 and 52690.

JEE Main Registration 2024 session 2 last date was March 4. NTA released JEE Main 2024 Application form session 2 on February 2. JEE Main Application form 2024 session 2 was available online on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates who have applied for JEE Main 2024 session 1 had not register again. Such candidates only need to fill the paper details (BE/BTech or BArch/BPlan) and pay application fees. JEE Main 2024 registration last date session 2 was March 4.

GATE CCMT Round 1 closing rank for M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 577, followed by M.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI Design with 575 score and finally by M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Information Security) with a 551 score. Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme is under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India for admission to Undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic offered by the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
