Satisfied because of the faculties, events, and fests in 2025, and the good infrastructure.
Placements: In civil engineering, around 80% of the students who register for the placements get placed. The highest package is around 34 LPA and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Larsen & Toubro, JK Cements, HPCL, BPCL etc. are the top recruiters from civil. Most of the students who do well in their academics get internships assisted by the institute in prominent companies of the core sector. Structural engineer, surveyor, and offshore engineering are the top roles offered by this course.
Infrastructure: The academic facilities are really good with top-class facilities and labs for practical sessions. The students have the opportunity to upskill their abilities. The hostel facilities and infrastructure are amazing. They provide high-quality food and facilities. The campus has Wi-Fi facilities, a study hall, and a world-class library. The campus has its own medical centre to look after the health of the students. Here they give high importance to sports and games. We have inter-NIT competitions for sports.
Faculty: We are guided by high-grade faculty members, who are graduates from top institutions in the world. They help us master each subject, assist us in projects, and clear our doubts without any hesitation. The course curriculum has been designed brilliantly, which helps us master the concepts in our core field and makes us ready to run an enterprise. The exam level also stays high with application-level questions that increase our problem-solving skills. The pass percentage in exams is around 90%.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in the civil sector, which is a core sector that can give me wide opportunities. The course provides flexibility to go for higher studies in any field you like. It would be better to add more practical sessions rather than having only theoretical subjects, which would make us industry-ready. Our technical fest Tathva and cultural fest Ragam are considered the biggest fests in South India, which is the pride of our institution.

NIT Calicut is a heavenly college in god's own country.
Placements: The placement in the college is very good. The average package is 9 LPA. The college provides strong support throughout the placement season. However, students are highly advised to work very hard because the competition is tough.
Infrastructure: The buildings and infrastructure are well maintained. It has regular maintenance and construction throughout the campus, making living here convenient and worth the money spent. Although the campus is very big. You might need a cycle for comfort.
Faculty: Faculty here is one of the best among any other institute in India. They are all Ph.D. holders from NIT, IIT, IISc, and even some from Ivy League schools. The semester exams are very hard and difficult to score a high GPA, so students must be very careful.
Other: The college curriculum is very hectic, so be prepared to face challenges. Above all, the placement is good but not well guided, so you have to perform and manage things on your own.

I am satisfied with facilities.
Placements: 80% of students get placed. The highest package is around 47 LPA I guess, and the average package is 12 LPA. The lowest package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting company is BPCL. Almost 50% of students got internships from companies like Tata and Visakhapatnam Steel. The top role offered is GM.
Infrastructure: The college offers Wi-Fi, clean rooms, 24x7 water, security, and basic amenities for a comfortable stay. It has a well-equipped library. The campus has a hygienic canteen, nutritious food, a medical center, and sports facilities for fitness and overall well-being.
Faculty: Experienced faculty members ensure high teaching quality through interactive and practical learning methods. The course curriculum is industry-oriented, offering practical knowledge and skills for real-world applications. The pass percentage is 95%. The exam level is hard.
Other: I chose this course out of my passion for civil engineering. A better curriculum with practical applications should be provided, which will be helpful. Events are good. We can connect and communicate with different people there. Scholarships are good, and extracurricular activities are interesting.

I am satisfied with fests organised by the college.
Placements: Currently, I have completed my B.Tech 2nd year in civil engineering. As far as I know, placements in the civil department are not much better and also not the worst. Many students in this department chose to go for either government jobs or concentrate on higher studies. The placement percentage is good in NITC, nearly 86%, which includes both coding and core. Prestigious companies like Reliance, Aditya Birla Group, Sobha Construction, and Larsen & Turbo visited the college for recruitment. PSUs like BPCL and IT companies like Accenture recruit us based on our coding skills (for coding companies).
Infrastructure: Infrastructure will be good enough for a student to study peacefully in which classrooms and hostel rooms are provided with Wi-Fi. The ambulance will be available for minor or major medical issues which will take us to the NITC health centre or referred hospital. The food won't be so good, but we need to adjust which we will face in any NIT or IIT. Labs will be good with a course instructor along with 9 to 10 teaching assistants (M.Tech students) along with lab staff members. Separate courts and grounds will be there for kho-kho, volleyball ball, kabaddi, hockey, football, cricket, and a swimming pool for athletics.
Faculty: The course curriculum has been changed from b23's, i.e., from my batch in which core subjects like mechanics, strength of materials, etc., will be in the first year itself, unlike the same subjects for all branches. Each student will be assigned a department faculty (faculty advisor) who will guide us through all 4 years (both in academics and non-academics, projects, etc.). Faculty members will be assistant professors who have pursued PhD.
Other: I chose this course because of college fame as it is one of the top NITs, but upon enrolling I have got some interest in subjects like structural analysis, Hydraulic machinery, etc. There will be 1 fest in the birth monsoon and winter semester. In the monsoon semester, Tathva is one of the biggest tech fests in India with events like treasure hunts, pro shows, competitions, etc.). In the winter semester, Ragam is organised, which is India's biggest cultural fest and it includes Kerala culture like Yamu, street play competition, Nukkad Naatak, mime, fashion show, etc.). Apart from this Anuragam (valentine's day) and Navaragam (new year) are also organised.

The winning voice of all NIT Calicut students.
Placements: This is Charan from NIT Calicut, Civil Engineering. There are about 200 people in the first year of Civil Engineering. The highest package is about 20 LPA, and the average is between 8 LPA to 10 LPA. There are no specific companies that hire every year, but the average job placement rate is good.
Infrastructure: The class is about 40 feet in height and 20 meters in width. Facilities are extraordinary when considering labs and experiments. The quality of food could be better because we cannot get the same taste as we do in our hometowns. There is good encouragement in sports.
Faculty: Teachers and other faculty members are very helpful and motivating. The curriculum is a bit complicated, but with good preparation, we can get through it. The pass percentage is about 80% to 90%. In difficult subjects, it can go down to 60% to 70%, but everything depends on the way we prepare.
Other: The best thing about my course is practical learning, rather than depending on computers and electrical devices. The cultural fests and events are good but not up to the mark.

NIT Calicut: Everything you need to know in a nutshell.
Placements: In civil engineering, approximately 90 percentage of students got placed into various companies. We have a fully fledged placement option in our campus. Many MNCs come and contact us. Our placement drive is one of the biggest in our state itself. Companies like Amazon, Google, and other MNCs contact us. Internship also has high value in our college.
Infrastructure: Our campus is fully occupied with Wi-Fi. Every class has a router. Even the public spaces have internet access. And our infrastructure is also good. And for hostel? Every room has a Wi-Fi router, which is very good in the modern way of learning. The food is also very good in our campus. Also, we have good food in hostel also.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful. They aren't just faculty. They play a major role in moulding us. They help us go through mental, physical, or academic distress. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it enables us to face real-life problems when we encounter them. The exams are not that tough, but in a moderate way. We should work a little hard to ace in it.
Other: I chose this course because I knew it a long ago. I was solely preparing for this one thing, and it paid off. I wish to improve my concentration in the course a little bit more. Campus surrounding and campus crowd is too good. It gives us a positive ambience. We have many clubs and activities of every sort. Also, we have every kind of sports here, and our administration really supports that.

If you get a chance to study at NITC, go for it.
Placements: Placement percentage is about 84%. As civil engineering students, we have many options. We can try for core jobs and IT jobs. We can even apply for government jobs. But if you want to get a job in the core, you need to maintain a CGPA of 9. The average package is around 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The campus buildings and hostels are well maintained. If there is any problem, it will be solved within days after giving a complaint. We have different messes, and each mess has its own menu. We can eat in whichever mess we want.
Faculty: The curriculum is well updated. The faculty is good. But we have exams every week for 1 to 2 subjects, and the syllabus is from that week. Every exam and every mark you write counts for the CGPA. Initially, we learned the basics. As time passes, more and more core subjects are included in the curriculum.

A college with good infrastructure, course curriculum, and experienced and cooperative faculty.
Placements: Placements at NITC are above average. Our college focuses majorly on placements and research-related things, but core branches are also doing good and performing well. The average salary package offered in this college is 13 LPA, which is decent. The placement ratio is also decent.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of NITC is good because it has a lush green campus that spans over 300 acres of land. It is used properly. Our classrooms are decent. Each department has separate classrooms and labs. They are in good condition. The Wi-Fi connection is a little poor in hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members here are well-qualified in their respective domains. Each faculty did a Ph.D. and various research in their domains. They are cooperative. The curriculum is on the point. Whatever they are teaching is course-based. Exams are based on topics taught.
Other: I chose this college because of my interest in research and this college provides this to a good extent. The civil engineering course is one of the finest courses in the nation. One thing that can be improved in our course is that it should provide early opportunities to students because they get opportunities in the 3rd year to do a project. Two major fests at NITC named Tathva and Ragam are held.
