About good placements (75%) with good infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 75% of students are placed. Top companies are Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Service Now, Tata Steel, etc. Highest package is 60 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, average package is 8 LPA. 90% of students got internships at Cisco, TCS, ONGC, Indian Oil, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Reliance, etc. Top roles are offered in computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
Infrastructure: In hostel room, 2 students share a single room. In room, two beds, two tube lights, one ceiling fan, one table, one chair, and one almirah are available. Mess food is average. Three times a week give chicken, two times egg at night. Classrooms are cleaned. Library is quite big and books are available.
Faculty: Teachers are most qualified. They have vast experience. Teaching quality depends on professor to professor. This course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are between moderate and hard. Mid-term is 20 marks and end-term is 50 marks. Pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course for core companies like Tata Motors, ONGC, etc. We gain a vast knowledge from awesome faculty members. Events are conducted like Moksha, tech fest, etc.

A well-rounded campus life with decent academics and great opportunities.
Placements: 80% of students get placed. 43 LPA is the highest package, and 3.6 LPA is the lowest package. JPL, JSP, Ashok Leyland, TASL, TCE, Tata Chemicals, etc., are the top recruiting companies in our college. Almost 70% of students get internship and in-plant training opportunities from our college.
Infrastructure: NIT Agartala's mechanical engineering department offers well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and a resourceful library. RNT Hostel and Aryabhatta Hostels are for boys and Gargi Hostel is for girls. Hostels are spacious with Wi-Fi and basic amenities. Mess food is average. Canteens are also available here. Medical facilities are available on campus. Sports infrastructure is very good with multiple courts and a gym.
Faculty: The faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department at NIT Agartala is qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but needs improvement. The curriculum is relevant and updated, covering core and elective subjects to build industry readiness. Semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is generally above 90%.
Other: I am from the 2021-2025 B.Tech Mechanical Engineering batch at NIT Agartala. I chose this course due to my interest in machines and design. The course blends theory with practice well. Labs need some upgrades and more industry exposure. Fests like Aayam and Moksha are great. The campus is peaceful, students are friendly, and scholarships are available.

I'm satisfied. College is beautiful and placements are good.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed from our batch. Around 86% of students got placed including students who opted out of the placements. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA (high for a mechanical core job), and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Alstom, L&T, M&M, and Ashok Leyland are some of the top recruiters. Very few applied for the on-campus internships and most secured job in Reliance and got in some top company.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but can be upgraded. College provides Wi-Fi for students for both hostlers and day scholars. Library is good. It is full of good books and we can access books for free for 3 weeks and need to pay fine if return is delayed. Food is average we have north, south, northeast and veg mess on campus. Medical facility are average.
Faculty: Faculty members are pretty average not top but average. Teachers are helpful they will resolve any subject gaps but it is better to learn on our own rather than entirely depending on teachers. Course curriculum is relevant and it teaches students time management. Semester exams are vey difficult but most students manage to get passing marks.
Other: Mechanical engineering at NIT Agartala is one of the best among the other NITs, and our college have mbaja club which is proper mechanical experience. They can add more design and manufacturing oriented classes and seminars. There are some events conducted every month and crowd is less when compared to campus size and campus is vast.

Personally, the college is decent as it is a college of national importance.
Placements: Job placements are very good in NIT AGARTALA. Almost 95% students get on-campus placements here. The criteria for getting eligible for getting a placement is having at least an 8 CGPA. Companies like Samsung, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package offered last year was 52 Lacs per annum and the average was around 11 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: In NIT AGARTALA, the hostel for first-year students is best in terms of any other NIT, but from second year it is worse. The rooms of the hostel of second year are the worst. It is not maintained by the management. But for first years it is best undoubtedly. Now the mess, the mess is not that good for first years because it is for all the states and the food quality is also not that good, but from second year onwards the food provided is quite good relative to first year.
Faculty: Since this is located in the northeastern region of India, majorly tribals are present here. Faculty members here are not that good because here comes a language barrier in play. Faculty members come in the class, they teach whatever they want and go. They don't even bother about the students. Further, here there is a lack of faculty members, Ph.D. scholars teach here. This is the worst thing in NIT AGARTALA.
Other: Here, college life is quite fascinating. Two fests are held here, one cultural fest named MOKSHA in April most probably, and the other tech fest named AAYAM. It has a huge library with the availability of almost every type of book. In the campus, there is a sports complex with an area for every sport like basketball, badminton, swimming, football, cricket, etc. There are several clubs in the college like a club for singing, dancing, drama, coding, and further more.

Overall a good college as it is an NIT.
Placements: As my branch is mechanical engineering, the placement here is quite good, as nearly everyone got placed in big companies. Precisely 90% were placed. The average package is around 9 lacs, which is quite good for a core branch like mechanical engineering, and the highest package here was 19 lacs per annum in mechanical engineering; overall, it was 52 lacs.
Infrastructure: The hostel is the best part of this college, as both hostels here are very good. Both the RNT and the Aryabhatta hostels have good infrastructure. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is good, but the first-year classrooms are not that good; they are just like school classrooms. The mess food in the first year is very bad, but from the second year, you have many options for mess food.
Faculty: The faculty is not that good in our college, except for some professors who are very good. Some professors don't know how to teach students, especially in the first year, but some are good. You have to prepare yourself for the exams using YouTube, and seniors here are very helpful and will guide you.
Other: The overall life here is very good on campus, but its distance from the city is a con. However, the people and friends here are very good, and we just enjoy all day and night, as there are no restrictions for the boys at night. The annual cultural fest here is Moksha. All the clubs are quite active, such as Malhar, Dzire, E-Cell, and NLC.

Faculty members are not very good. A good hostel with other sports facilities. I am satisfied.
Placements: Placements at our college are not very good. They are good enough. The mechanical branch's placement percentage is 83%. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors and also PSUs like HPCL, etc. Our college provides the highest placements in the mechanical branch. Internships for the mechanical branch are tough. Top 5 people in the branch could get internships. Roles in the mechanical branch are offered by PSUs like HPCL, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is very good, especially for the 1st year students. The RNT Hostel and branch building are good. Every facility is available except air conditioning rooms. Our labs are good. The library is very good. As it is national Institute of importance. The food is not good for 1st year. It is very good for 2nd year onwards. There is a hospital for NIT students. Facilities are not very good. Sports facilities are very top-notch. Every game is played in our college. They have different clubs. Every sport is taught here.
Faculty: Talking about academics, our teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are from their home state and can't speak Hindi properly. They don't put much effort into teaching us. The curriculum is good and always takes ahead for company placements. Our abs are very helpful to gain core knowledge of any branch. Talking about semester exams, we have mid-semester and end-semester exams every semester. Mid-semester exams are conducted for 20 marks. The end-semester exams are conducted for 50 marks. Internals are conducted for 30 marks. The difficulty level of semester exams is good enough. Mostly PYQS PYQS-derived questions are asked. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Our branch is mechanical engineering. Some seniors in our branch are very good academically and helpful. The only major con of our branch is that we aren't allowed to sit in placements. The placement percentage is 80% in IT companies. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA. Events and fests are very good. The campus is spread over 365 acres of land. It is good enough to travel and explore it. The connectivity is very poor. The city is around 15 km away from our college. Talking about extracurricular activities, there are around 50 clubs like a drama club named Aaveg and a singing club named Malhar. There are all cultural clubs for every sports club. There is a decent facility for extracurricular activities.

The lesser known facts about NIT Agartala.
Placements: I'm from the batch of 2020-24 pursuing mechanical engineering. About 60-65% students were placed out of 112 students from my batch. The highest package was about 19 LPA, the lowest package was 2.5-3 LPA with an average package LPA of around 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our course are Suzuki motors, Tata power, Maruti suzuki, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very beautiful. Almost every classroom is a smart classroom. Every student was given free 1GB worth of data through Wi-Fi. The labs are pretty great. The hostels of our college are pretty nice. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The rooms have enough space for 2. 1st and 2nd year students have to share the room with another student. There is a separate vegetarian canteen along with a mess. The sports complex is huge.
Faculty: The teachers are neither too good nor too bad. Some of the teachers are well qualified but most of them are average in terms of knowledge and lack teaching skills. The course is relevant enough and follows a syllabus similar as that of IITs. There are 2 exams in each semester including one mid term and one end term which are decently tough. Every candidate should score 40 out of 100 in every subject. The 100 marks are including semester exams and internals..
Other: I personally chose this course because I have a keen interest in the Mechanical field. The best thing about my course is that we have the best labs in terms of size and equipments as compared to other branches. Most importantly, the college campus is huge and filled with greenery.

Review of NIT Agartala - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: NIT is very good for placement, and the percentage of students relieving from college was nearly 90 percent. The highest package was 55 LPA, and the lowest was 7 LPA, with an average of 12 LPA in our college. Top companies like Google visited, and nearly 75 percent of students got top roles. The offered role in college was head boy.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college was very good, and 24/7 Wi-Fi was available. Classrooms are very clean, and labs are very nice with upgraded materials. In hostels, the warden was very friendly with all of the students. We will be friendly with wardens.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to us in problems and asking doubts, etc. Semester exams are not that much difficult; they are very easy if we spend one hour per day. Sirsa will take care of the marks and all. The minimum CGPA required is 7, and the highest is 8.
Other: Our college was very good in placements and nature and also in placements etc.

Cut-off is published by IIT after the exams but if you wish to get admission in Agartala, then you have to score 180+ in JEE Mains. All the best!
