NIT Calicut Ph.D. Courses & Fees

To apply for PhD admission at NIT Calicut, visit the official website of the institute and submit a duly filled application form online. However, it is mandatory for candidates to have met the basic eligibility, i.e. a master's degree in a relevant discipline and a valid score in the entrance exams accepted by the institute.

NIT Calicut offers 15 specialisations under the PhD course, including Computer Science & Engineering, Architecture & Planning, Management, Economics, English, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Biotechnology.

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme is under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India for admission to Undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic offered by the National Institute of Technology Calicut. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories)  is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Furthermore, all the documents such as bachelor’s degree, mark sheets, etc. are required at the time of admission for verification purposes.

NIT Calicut GATE CCMT cutoff 2024 were published for M.Tech and M.Tech Integrated courses. As the M.Tech cutoff ranged from 355 to 599, we can observe that the admission to NIT Calicut can be possible with a score of 400 in 2024. However, there are some top courses like M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Information Security), and M.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI Design, where CCMT score of 400 won't be sufficient for candidates to get a seat at NIT Calicut.
