NIT Meghalaya MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
NIT Meghalaya MTech is a two-year PG-level programme. It is a full-time programme for BTech passed out candidates. This programme is spread across various specialisations, including Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All these courses are offered for a duration of two years.
Admission to NIT Meghalaya MTech courses is granted based on GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling. If seats are left vacant, the institute conducts its own entrance test, and interview process. Moreover, the admission is only possible when candidates meet the eligibility criteria.
- Eligibility: BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

NIT Meghalaya offers a full-time two-year MTech programme in five different engineering disciplines, which are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. To be eligible for admission to the M.Tech programme at NIT Meghalaya, candidates must have a valid GATE score.
For admission to MTech course in NIT Meghalaya candidates have to appear for the GATE exam. GATE 2024 registration for M.Tech admission has started .Candidates can also fill GATE application form 2024 online at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The total tuition fee for the MTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is INR 69,500- INR 3.8 lakh, The fee structure mentioned doesn’t include hostel fee. Further, the fee structure is for general category.
