NIT Mizoram PhD admission is entrance-based. The eligibility to apply for PhD at NIT Mizoram is a master's degree in relevant stream from a recognised university. The final selection is done on the basis of GATE/ UGC NET /Written Test/ Merit, followed by personal interview. 

 NIT Mizoram JEE Main cutoff 2026 was published for admission to the BTech and its various branches for both the OBC AI and HS quota categories. The cutoff has been released for the first round in the form of ranks. 

For the OBC AI quota, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 11344 to 17156, with BTech CSE and BTech in Civil Engineering being the most and least competitive branches for admission. 

On the other hand, for the OBC HS quota, the same round cutoff was only declared for one branch, ie, BTech CSE with the cutoff of 539090.

NIT Mizoram admissions is entrance-based. For admission to its BTech programme National Institute of Technology Mizoram accepts the JEE Main scores followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. For admission at MTech programmes, NIT Mizoram accepts the GATE scores, respectively. The NIT Mizoram University does not take any direct admissions. In order to take admission for any engineering course in NIT Mizoram one has to undergo JEE Mains examination, and has to score a valid ranking according to the cutoff released. For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 27320 to 51417, wherein BTech Mathematics and Computing was the toughest branch for admission. Hence, students need to attain a rank of at least 51417 to be considered qualified for admission.
