NIT Sikkim offers UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in the field of Science, Commerce, and Humanities, including BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD. At NIT Sikkim, these courses are offered through nine departments across multiple specialisations. BTech is the flagship course offered by the Institution. National exams like JEE Main and GATE are accepted by the Institution for admission to BTech and M.Tech courses.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore started the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 registration on Aug 30. Yes, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to NIT Sikkim are out now but the dates are tentative. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. Computer Science Engineering is the most popular specialisation under BTech programme in NIT Sikkim. The cutoff for BTech CSE was 30095 in 2021 which increased to 34085 in 2023. Among all, the most competitive branches were B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, followed by B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with the last round cutoff ranks of 31754 and 42422, respectively. Therefore, students aiming for admission to this course should aim to secure a rank of 84897, or preferably below, to increase their chances for admission at NIT Sikkim 2025. Honestly giving the feedback and review of hostels in NIT Sikkim. It is not that good but it's okay. 

There are two hostels, one for B.Tech boys and one out od campus hostel for 1st year boys. The hostel rules and guidelines are strict. 5 persons stay in one room for boys with common bathrooms and toilets for 8 rooms each. 

For girls, the rules and regulations and regulations are much strictly followed as compared to boys. The accommodation is good for girls with 4 persons in a room. But as compared to boys, girls are privileged in NIT Sikkim. Moreover, at NIT Sikkim, you will learn to adopt this scenarios. First of all it will create problem or you might struggle but after that you will become habitual to it and you will have fun.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 21710 and closing rank was 24093 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 29402 and 34462. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in NIT Sikkim is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Yes, you can get B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with your cutoff rank of 7000 if you belong to the General AI category. The cutoff rank for this specialisation ranged from 21087 to 31754, as per the first and last round closing cutoff ranks according to the JoSSA and CSAB counselling results. Please note that the cutoff varies according to rounds and categories. Below is a table providing the last and first round closing ranks for all India quota candidates.

NIT Sikkim JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the OBC AI quota ranged from 7236 to 90926. According to the last round closing ranks, the most sought-after BTech branch for admission was BTech CSE.

 NIT Sikkim application process varies from course to course. The application process of BTech, MTech, and MSc is done via the official website of their respective entrance exams JEE Main, GATE, and Jam, followed by applying for the counselling bodies of JoSAA (BTech), CCMT (MTech), and CCMN (MSc). As for the PhD programme, candidates must apply via the NIT Sikkim official website by filling the online appplication form available online. Additionally, the institution conducts IAT (Institute Admission Test) for admission to the MTech/MSc vacant seats after the completion of the course-wise counseling process.
