A review on NMAMIT NITTE: Fees, infrastructure, and campus life.
Placements: A lot of companies visit our campus and provide recruitment. More than 200 companies visit our college. The highest package is 53 LPA. It provides a package of 12 LPA. A student with a good CGPA can sit for placements in the 6th semester itself.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure and buildings with good computers and laboratories. Classrooms and well-ventilated, making it convenient for study. Washrooms are clean and hygienic. The college provides a hostel facility with fantastic food.
Faculty: The faculty here is well-qualified. They have really good knowledge about their subjects. The faculty members are experienced and speak very good English. They teach very well, making it easy for even NRIs to adjust to this place. They clear our doubts and are very humble.
Other: I chose B.Tech in mechanical engineering because that is my side of interest. The campus life here is amazing, making it easy for even outsiders to adjust. The seniors are very friendly and faculty members are also cool. There are many events conducted in the college every year including fests, webinars, programs, etc.

The beauty and review of N. M.A. M institute of technology.
Placements: Almost 90 percent of students who have a good CGPA get placed, and the highest package till now is 54 LPA and the average ranges from 3 to 4 LPA. At the end of the 7th sem, everyone must do an internship in the companies and work there. Due to internships, job opportunities become higher.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good, and the college library has more than 80k books. Students can also sit in the library and study; it gives a very good environment for study. The labs in our college are well-advanced and up-to-date, and also the canteen food is South Indian type; North Indian options are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, and almost everyone holds a Ph.D., and those who don't hold, they are pursuing. The mid-sem exams are very easy to score, but the sem-end exams are a bit tough compared to the mid-sem exams. The passing percentage is 40% in both mid-sem and sem-end exams. The teachers in the college are very helpful.
Other: I chose mechanical because it is one of the oldest courses in our college, and the teachers are very highly qualified. I think the teaching techniques must be improved. There are various events organized by various clubs where we can showcase our talent, and there is also a national-level fest, Incridea, organized, which is very grand.

The college had a revolutionary mechanical engineering department.
Placements: The college had good placements based on the past few years. Several core mechanical companies and a few automotive companies had been to the college frequently for placements. Apart from core mechanical companies, mechanical engineering students had also got huge opportunities to hone their skills in ATIT companies by blending the theoretical mechanical skills into a programming output.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi, classrooms, and library at NMAMIT were of high standards. Especially, the library had been constantly updating with around 99% of reference books available at a given time. The departmental classrooms and labs were great. Laboratories in some aspect might need a little bit of tweaking based on the current scenario. Overall, the department, canteen, sports, and games had been a flowing image of NMAMIT.
Faculty: Most of the teachers had been helpful during my years of studies at NMAMIT. The mechanical engineering department had been constantly updating the curriculum based on the industry standards. As a result of this, the Automotive Learning Factory was set up during the year 2018. Automotive Learning Factory provided a platform for several students to build on their interests especially since the factory had an Ashok Leyland truck which helps to deep dive between the barriers of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. The mechanical engineering department also had several other important laboratories making it one of the finest departments in the college. Most professors had active learning classes besides the regular standard blackboard classes. Active learning especially helped me a lot in bridging the gaps between the theoretical concepts taught during regular classes and visualising every day problems during active learning.
Other: Choosing mechanical engineering at NMAMIT at the first place was a little hard. I was not sure if it was right in deciding if my future lay in mechanical engineering but after graduating in mechanical engineering in 2019, I can say that my future had always been in the sister branch of mechanical engineering which is energy engineering. Hence mechanical engineering has played a crucial role in developing me into an energy engineer. The department of mechanical engineering had been a strong encourager of various intra departmental activities which helped students develop various interpersonal skills and also developed certain soft skills. A few intra departmental events were organised so far including our intra departmental fest called the Overhaulin and also an extensive intra departmental placement event which can be considered as a mock placement event called The Placement Trial filled with different rounds such as general aptitude test, group discussion, technical round, and a final HR round were conducted during the year 2018 which had been beneficial to many students understand where they stand. A few areas where our department can improve from the time I had been in college, could revolve around training mechanical engineering students on developing their programming skills especially, since the current industry 4.0 movement demands a lot of programming.

A good college in the Bangalore region.
Placements: I would term the placement of the college to be good. The placement is more inclined towards more of IT companies visiting the campus. Tge placement in core companies is very less. Tge the highest package is around 9-10lakhs and the lowest package is of 3.25 Lacs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average. Few blocks of hostels are really good. The new blocks are good with new amenities. The classrooms in new blocks are facilitated with good amenities. The labs are equipped, each department has its own well maintained labs. The college has a floor library with a sitting capacity of 400-500 students.
Faculty: The teacher to student ratio is good. With a good amount of Ph.D. facilities. Their are labs with instruments and modern facilities. The department students do a lot of research and development, the mechanical students represent the college in SAE BAHA. The biotechnology students have developed alternate fuel to run cars and many more.
Other: The college fests are of national level. The college is very popular in the konkan region and among the top performers in a lot of inter college fests in the region.

Dissatisfied with the college. Placements for IT students are good. Infrastructure is not good.
Placements: The placements were good for IT branches, but only a few core companies visit the campus. NMAM Institute did not meet the expectations concerning the norms promised. Placements for the students of the mechanical engineering department are not up to the mark. Please do not choose this course here. The companies like Infosys or Wipro visit the campus even to hire mechanical engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent, but it is old. One is the new block, and the other is the old block. The old block consists of electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering departments. The new block accommodates computer science engineering, information science engineering, electrical engineering, and biotechnology engineering departments. There is a separate block for the civil department.
Faculty: The faculty members are decent enough for the course. They are helpful and qualified. The quality of their teaching is good, and they use good teaching methods. The student-faculty ratio is 50:1. The industry exposure provided is not at all good. The curriculum was not useful at all for me till now. I don't recommend this college at all.

I am satisfied with my college. But even though im from mech branch im placed in IT company.
Placements: Placement opportunities for CS as well IS are excellent. Placements are almost 100% for CS And IS. Average placements for EC and EE. But poor placements when it comes to mechanical and civil core. Some mrc like infosys and accenture recruit large number of people from almost all branches.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are average. Classrooms have air condition but rarely switched on. Library facilites are good but infrastructure is poor. Good opportunities for sports as an indoor basketball stadium, football, handball, volleyball Courts are present.
Faculty: Im currently pursuing my mechanical engineering so I can only give feedback about my branch. Faculty members are excellent in teaching and very friendly in nature. They support or help you in any way possible. Stident to faculty ratio is also good. Industry exposure may be two or three industrial visits but there is a new ashok leyland workshop set up this year.

NMAMIT is definitely a good engineering college for those who are interested in engineering.
Placements: This year, the placement opportunities dropped down considerably when compared to last year. Speaking exclusively for the mechanical department, around 50 students got placed out of 250. Last year, the number of students from mechanical department who got placed was close to 100. The major mass recruiting companies that came this year were Infosys, Accenture and TCS. Some other companies like Bosch, Toyota Kirloskar, Analytics Quotient, 99games had also come but recruited very few students. Although the placement cell works efficiently to attract companies for campus recruitment, global trends and lack of job opportunities have resulted in poor numbers this year. However, the demand for CS students who are proficient in coding were quite high and like last year, the CS department secured the most number of placed students. The average salary offered was around 4 Lacs per annum. The lowest salary offered was 2.5 Lacs per annum and the highest was around 10 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at NMAMIT is quite decent. With adequate facilities for various activities which includes a fully equipped indoor sports arena, gymnasium, a football and cricket field, separate blocks for each department and an outdoor auditorium that can easily accommodate 1000 people, NMAMIT continues to invest heavily on infrastructure. Classroom are quite spacious and are fitted with ACs. Labs are well maintained and equipment is calibrated regularly. Library consists of a wide range of study materials which can be accessed at any time during college hours. Canteen food is decent and is affordable on a regular basis. A clinic is open at all times to treat students with immediate effect. Hostel rooms and facilities are decent. The newly constructed hostel blocks are well maintained and have a wide range of facilities.
Faculty: The teachers were really helpful and easily approachable. All lecturers in the mechanical department have a master degree and many are pursuing Ph.D. in core subjects to gain more knowledge about the subjects they teach. Lecturers often explain various topics with simple examples to make it easier for us to understand. The student to faculty ratio was 5:1. Industrial visits were organized on a yearly basis to provide us with adequate exposure in the work field. The course curriculum consisted of key mechanical topics that were beneficial for us in the long run. Some subjects include fluid mechanics, mechanical vibrations, design of machines, automotive engineering, thermodynamics etc.
Other: Every year, our college organizes a techno-cultural fest called 'INCRIDEA'. This year, ace comedian Sail Shah, had delivered a stand up show at our college during the fest. Spunk, a rock music band, enthralled the audience during a concert organized in our college. Our college provides umpteen number of scholarships for various minority sections who need it. Extracurricular activities like cricket, football, basketball tournaments are organized every year.

NMAMIT is the place where you can study, enjoy and admire nature as well.
Placements: Companies like M-Benz, Bosch, Infosys and a lot more companies do visit our college. We get to see more than 30 companies visiting our college for placements. We can find an average package of 3.6-5lkh or more, we do find the core companies visiting our college.
Infrastructure: The campus is very huge, has sports and educational facilities. We have two libraries, canteens, a newly constructed automotive lab, CNC lab, computer and CAD labs. Our educational block and the other blocks are well-maintained. We have a garden as well as a study area.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and experienced. Their teaching is very easy to understand. They are very helpful in academic as well as extracurricular activities. We get to learn new stuff and have hands-on experience in technology. We can contact them at any time for our doubts.
Other: The fest is really amazing. We spend a week for the fest, and we do enjoy a lot. The standup comedian, Sail Shah has visited our college during the fest and performed.
