As per the RGIPT BTech fee details last year, per semester fee was INR 1.51 lac. Tuition fee was INR 1.0 lac, exam fee was INR 2,000. For SC/ST/PwD, the total tuition fee is INR 1.26 lac. The tuition fee in this case is INR 75,000. Rest of the fee is the same as general category candidates.
You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.

1: RGIPT BTech Application Process 2026
Interested candidates should submit the application form online. Candidates from Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and, Kashmir are exempted from entering the Aadhaar number in the application form. However, during the admission, they have to produce any Government-approved identity proof such Passport/ Ration Card/ Bank Passbook/ Other valid government identity card. Apart from the institute's application form, candidates are also required to fill out the JEE Main application form and JEE Advanced application form. The applicant shall follow the following RGIPT BTech application process:
1.1: Register as a new student and proceed to log in.
1.2:Your Registration Number will be displayed on screen. Note it down for future reference.
1.3: You will recieve an OTP on the registered number. Verify it and click on proceed. A password will be generated.
1.4: Pay the non-refundable RGIPT BTech application fees of INR 600 + INR 108 (Taxes) for SC/ ST/ PwD and female category candidates and, INR 1200 + INR 216 (Taxes) for all other candidates. You can pay this fee using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
1.5: Fill in the personal information, address, contact details and academic qualification details.
1.6: Fill out the JEE (Advanced)/ JEE (Mains) details, bank details and upload necessary documents.
1.7: Upload photograph and signature not exceeding 100 kb in JPG/JPEG format.

No, inter-round auto-upgrade of the BTech brand is not possible after later rounds for seats that are already allotted or blocked in earlier rounds. This is not even possible if you have a high JEE rank.
Yes, RGIPT allows refunds only after receiving a valid withdrawal request submitted within the deadline. Refunds for seat blocking amount and event full fees can be refunded after certain deductions. After physical registration, you will only get back the security deposit after deducting the mess advance charges based on actual consumption.
