Campus Life at SCMS Engineering College.
Placements: About 60% of students from the CS branch are getting placements. Packages will depend on the skills and interests of the companies. The average package should be around 2.5 LPA. If you have good coding skills, you could get around 6 LPA from good companies like Tata, IBM, Infosys, etc. top roles offering good packages are data scientist and software developer.
Infrastructure: The college has a wide variety of good infrastructure. There is a big library that is fully air-conditioned. Free Wi-Fi is available on the campus. Classrooms are equipped with a digital infrastructure for visualization. For the first year, the hostel is inside the campus, but it may not provide the best experience. The food in the canteen is good. Additionally, there are facilities like a basketball court, cricket nets, a volleyball court, and a football field. There are teams for each sport, and skilled individuals can join these teams.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in studying. They are well-qualified with doctorates, and the teaching quality is good. They can teach using our common language as well. However, the course curriculum for the first year is not relevant at all; it's just a continuation from our schools and not required for our job industry. Semester exams may be difficult for an average student, and the average percentage is around 6 SGPA.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to continue in the computer field. There are a wide variety of opportunities in this course. However, I think the curriculum should change to focus more on our future jobs. Training for jobs will be important, and improving skills is crucial in this course. There aren't many fests in the college, and it is comparatively smaller compared to other top colleges.

My Experience at SCMS School of Engineering.
Placements: The college provides better placement opportunities for students with skills and good marks. The placement interviews start in the 6th semester, and proper placement training is provided by the college. Many companies, like TCS, Infosys, and Accenture, visit here for recruitment.
Infrastructure: I would rate the course 8/10 because, in the current scenario, it offers many opportunities for internships and projects. The university is a bit late in updating the syllabus. The first-year boys' hostel is inside the campus, and from the second year onward, the hostel is outside the campus. The hostel has a good Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: The faculty are friendly, and students are free to ask their professors for explanations. All faculty provide notes and presentations, and there is no shortage of faculty members here. Programs like arts days and sports tournaments are arranged for students.

Review of SCMS School of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: As the placements provided in our college is good. 30% of the students get placements. There are many companies for recruitment. Soti, Infosys, Wipro, Federal Bank, and many more are the companies that come here for placements. The average salary package of our college is 4 LPA. The highest salary package of our college is about 14 LPA which is provided by Soti company. Our campus also provides internships in Japan which is so privileged. Students apply internships outside the campus too.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on our campus is the best. The food they serve and the menu differ actually in 2 months concurrently. There will be a choice whether veg or non-veg. The campus is beautiful and provides all the facilities. Our college has sports in which students participate. Since the sports department is not that strong. But we do have kabaddi and kho girls who secured district-level champion students who are also selected to the state team. The library is there on the campus and has more than 2,000 books.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they will be helping us to bring maximum potential of the students. The college organizes maximum events to be updated and also to be engaged in with technology. All teachers in our college are post-graduated and experienced. The majority of them pursued doctorate degrees and many of them are pursuing too. Teachers are provided with classes when the syllabus changes such that they are updated with the current trends. Semester exams are not difficult if students can spend 2 hours daily, they can get above 9 CGPA.
Other: I am an aspiring student who likes to study and learn about technology from my 12th grade. I took CS as my stream and like to follow my passion thus I chose this college. This is the best college for all kinds of students.

It's my college review and it's helpful for you to know about the college and the courses .
Placements: The students with good marks and those who score well rank in the all-Kerala entrance exam. There is particular rank hold for each course, such that if we need CS branch, there should be minimum rank of more than 15–16K and a good mark in the subjects Math and Physics in your higher second degree. There is a special quota for the caste under the category ST/SC. The college has many placement opportunities in cities and the highest package was 14 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. The latest companies were Global, Infosys, Move, etc. There are many placement offers from the top companies. The placement is not based on your CGPA or SGP, and it all depends on your skill and communication. A minimum sgpa of 6.5 and above is required to attend the placement, and all the training is given by the college in the sixth semester. The college management gives all the support they can provide.
Infrastructure: The college provides a library for our references. They provide us with 24*7 Wi-Fi both in the college and hostel. There are multiple labs on campus, which we use for coding and other purposes. The hostel is inside the campus for ladies and first-year boys. The senior hostel is outside the campus, which is in front of the college gate. They provide every facility and 24*7 WiFi. We have a mess nearby, which provides us variety and hygiene. In case of any injury, we have a hospital nearby, and the wardens take care even in the late evening.
Faculty: Faculty give all kinds of support and helpful minds, and they teach everything beyond the syllabus too. The course is one of the toughest subjects in the world and its too complicated to pass an exam. If you fail in any of the subjects, it will lead to supply, and if we clear that, we will have the opportunity to have college placements and degree certificates. The engineering is a tick mark where the curve indicates the semester s3, s4, which is one of the most difficult semesters. The maximum SGPA to clear all the subjects is above 6.
Other: I learned about the college through one of the seniors who passed out this year and I scored 16K in the All Kerala Entrance Exam KEAM and through allotment, I got admission to the campus. I have scholarship e-grants by caste categories. I have no tuition fee or hostel fee. We have a good atmosphere on campus and it is peaceful. Cmapus is beyond the town area. The facilities are good and friendly to everyone. We don't have events on campus now, but we have many internships, Hackathon and IEEE events on campus. And we have many evening activities. We have a good basketball and football field and a shuttle cord. To improve your studies, do not have any supplies during the semester. We have many scholarship opportunities.

Good placement opportunities with really good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: Placements are offered in abundance and very good companies come to the college for placements. Placements training starts from the second year and they prepare us for it at the correct time. The highest package offered is 1 Lacs per month and the lowest is 10 thousand per month. 85% is the college’s placements rate. Sutherland, TCS, Autobahn, Hexaware, UST, Expiron, BURST and HCL are some of the top companies. My plan is to get placed first, after which I will try to find another job which pays more or has good career opportunities.
Infrastructure: There is a total of 2 acres of land having our architectural college. The campus is students and environment friendly having different blocks for different departments. We have an amphitheater, basketball court, volleyball court, cricket nets, various labs for material testing, automobile mechanical, etc. available in dedicated buildings of the college. CS labs are provided in every block. There is an indoor stadium cum auditorium. We have a large library which also has e-learning facilities. Our library is on top of the ranks. We have teams for every sport and athletics. You can refer to our college website for more sports information. We have special clubs like IEDC, YUVA, IEEE, TINKERHUB and other sports, arts, literature, and technological clubs for students run by the students. Every books is available in the library. Hostel facilities are available. Food menu has a variety. There is food committee which discusses the problems related to food and changes the whole menu monthly. Options for PG are also available. Registration process for the hostel is easy and affordable. Football and cricket grounds are available.
Faculty: All the faculty members are pretty good in their fields and have very good qualifications. The college only picks good faculty with experience and qualifications with most of them being professors or having doctorates. They know how to do their job well and try their level best to help us. They do not compromise with their teaching quality. I chose this course because I wanted to join and study this from a young age. I always wanted to become a software engineer and get a job in the IT field. Jobs with the most hike, popularity and opportunities are available in the Computer Science field, so I chose this. All the term exams were conducted at the correct time and they prepared us well for it. It's not that difficult if you know the topics and the difficulty level is medium. The cost to study is the same everywhere and we can't complain about that. It's a popular course so getting a seat may be tricky at times. There isn't much fee hike right now as I'm studying. It's fixed.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to join and study this from a young age. I always wanted to become a software engineer and get a job in the IT field. Jobs with the most hike, popularity and opportunities are available in the Computer Science field, so I chose this. The course subjects could be a bit more easy and related to the core subjects. Some subjects are of different departments and they are mandatory too, but they could be changed as well. The exams’ schedule must be changed. The campus has a very good student supportive environment. It’s a nature friendly college full of greenery and places for us to relax. The entire campus has Wi-Fi connectivity available for the students and dedicated staff inside the college blocks. The college provides scholarship opportunities both inside India and internationally. There are opportunities to go to Japan for internships, there in MATSUE scholarship and opportunities to go to Taiwan for internships and study provided. We have a very famous dance team ‘D2R’ which has been getting a lot of prizes in inter-college programs, a music band and sports teams for pretty much every sport and we get special training for sports. We have student run clubs like sports, arts, literature along with websites like the IEDC, IEEE, YUVA and many others to support and help the students. NSS camps are also held in the college. Teach fests and college fests happen but are not that regular.
