The placement in the mechanical branch is very less as compared to EC or CS department, But when compared to other colleges in this region it is good.

Satisfied with the training and placement.
Placements: In SIT, we have almost 100% placements. Our training and placement department will bring all the possible companies. While coming to our branch, Electronics and Communication, we have above 70% of packages. The highest package is as high as 34 LPA. Our branch ECE package is 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have all the infrastructure available, such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries. As I'm a day scholar, I know the facilities in the hostels, such as Wi-Fi facilities, hot water, clothes washing, and so on. Food is absolutely good and tasty.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and clearly explain the topics. They will clarify our doubts. The syllabus they keep is very useful for the company and industries. Semester exams are good. We have to score 40% in both internals and exams for passing.

It has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 80 to 90 percent of students were placed in college. The highest package for 2025 batch was 32.88 LPA, while the average was 9 LPA. For 2024 batch, the average package was 34 LPA. The highest package was offered to the student of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering branch offered by VISA. The average package for CSE is above 10 LPA. Many students got paid internships.
Infrastructure: The labs are very good and well-equipped with Wi-Fi and other facilities needed for students to learn. There are many labs in the CSE Department itself, and on every floor, there are 2 to 3 labs equipped with AC. Most classrooms have a projector or smartboard and have comfortable benches, and they're not congested at all. The hostel rooms are average in size, and they contain single, double, and triple sharing, depending on the hostel. The quality of food provided in the hostel mess is average. Wi-Fi is available in hostel. Sports facilities like table tennis, badminton, basketball, gym, etc., are available on campus itself.
Faculty: Most teachers here are qualified enough and helpful. But some teachers lack teaching skills. Quality of teaching is above average. The curriculum is good, and they keep updating the syllabus according to the market and job requirements in the industry. The semester exams are based on the topics and syllabus taught by teachers, so it's not very difficult to score if you learn the notes given by teachers. The passing percentage is 40 percent in all the tests, quizzes, and lab tests, and everyone should have above 85 percent attendance.
Other: The campus life is good, as the college has a great and well-sized campus. It has a stadium, basketball court, table tennis, badminton court, and gym as well. Two fests are organized by college, 1 in winter and one in summer. A lot of extracurricular activities are organized by college, like sports tournaments and club activities.

A good greenery campus, and it is inside the city, so everything is available within the region.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 40%. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest is 3.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments and Tata Consultancy Services. We are only taking our own internships, and some of them got on-campus internships. Top roles are analog layout engineering and associate software engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, with good facilities for our department. There is a good Wi-Fi connection available, and a good library with lots of books. Good food is provided in the hostel. Good medical facilities, good sports organized, and all types of games are there.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and depending on the course, students can be industry-ready if they are interested in the domain. Semester exams and quizzes are difficult to moderate in this college. The pass percentage is around 70%.
Other: I chose this course because of my KCET rank. It offers good course knowledge.

Life in one of my decent COMEDK colleges.
Placements: Total of 1097 students were placed in the year 2025 in our college. The highest package was 32.88 LPA. The lowest was around 3 to 4 LPA, and the average package was around 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Cisco, Visa, JPMorgan, and many more. More than 500+ students got internships from our college in the same companies. Top roles were software developers, data analysts, QA testers, and many more.
Infrastructure: Smart classrooms are equipped with projectors, whiteboards, and audio systems. Each department has its own specialized labs, like CSE, ECE, AIML, etc. High-speed Wi-Fi is available across the classroom, hostels, libraries, and buildings. Library has seating for around 450 students at a time, and also two AC reading halls for quiet study. There are 5 boys and 4 girls' hostels furnished with tables, chairs, cots, book racks, and many more. The quality of food is of a very decent level, with only a veg option available in mess and canteen. Ground is there for at least each sport, and medical care is also available.
Faculty: The teachers present there are very helpful. Qualified and knowledgeable with a higher degree in their respective branch. The teachers present there provide a high level of education and knowledge regarding the course. The course curriculum is very much relevant to the IT industry as well as all the departments, which we all need for future growth. It makes students ready for the industry for the upcoming years, in which they will be able to serve at each and every stage whenever required. The semester exams are of a moderate level, which can be easily cracked, and 9 to 10 students fail.
Other: I have chosen this course because SIT has a good placement record for many years in branches like CSE, ECE, and AIML. The best things about this course are that it has well-equipped labs, supportive teachers, and a peaceful campus environment. I think a greater variety of food should be available at mess and make some growth in the placement of lower branches, like mechanical, civil, and many more. There is a cultural fest named Sanskriti and a tech fest named Kalashree, and department-level events are vibrant. Campus crowd is very friendly and diverse. Connectivity is well-connected to Tumkur city, buses and autos are available.

Good facilities, supportive faculty, and vibrant campus.
Placements: 78% of students got placed. The highest package is 28 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. It is a good college with a good placement officer who takes care of each individual, which is why we are facing placement issues. The top roles offered are design engineer and associate engineer, and all students have secured internships.
Infrastructure: Our department has modern classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and a resourceful library. Hostels are clean with good amenities. The mess and canteen serve hygienic food. Medical care is available, and sports facilities encourage active participation. I am happy with the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable, making learning engaging. The curriculum is well-structured, relevant, and industry-oriented, preparing students for careers. Semester exams are moderately challenging with good guidance, and the pass percentage remains consistently high.
Other: I chose Electrical & Electronics Engineering for its wide scope in power and technology. The course blends theory with practice, making it exciting. More industry exposure can improve it. The campus offers vibrant fests, scholarships, clubs, good surroundings, connectivity, and an energetic crowd.

Good infrastructure and facilities by the college but poor hostel facilities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed every year is almost 95% in my course, i.e., Computer Science and Engineering. The highest package offered this year is 31 LPA and the lowest package offered is 1 LPA. The overall average package offered is 8 LPA. This year, the top recruiting company is Oracle Bangalore. The percentage of students getting internships is almost 80%, and this time, Visa company recruited the most interns. Top roles offered by this course are Software Developer, Front End, Backend, and Full Stack Developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in my department are well and good. Classrooms are well maintained, computers are updated on date, and Wi-Fi works well. Coming to the hostel, the facilities are below average. No proper infrastructure, no proper maintenance, rooms are very old, no renovation, bathrooms are very poorly maintained, and it's hard for girls to survive there. The food menu changes every week in the hostel. The food taste and maintenance in the hostel are below average. Many people do not have breakfast in the hostel.
Faculty: Very few professors are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Many of the assistant professors are not so helpful and knowledgeable. Coming to the course, the course curriculum is relevant to the course, and it surely helps students become industry-ready. Semester exams are not so tough if students study well. Teachers provide notes, PPTs, questions, and previous year papers, which help us during semester exams. The pass percentage is around 85%.
Other: I joined the Computer Science & Engineering branch because it is the best course that matches my interest in coding. The faculty of my course are well-trained professors who explain the concepts in a very interactive way and create interest in the course. The exams will be conducted on a regular time period of 2 months, and the semester will run for 6 months. The exam difficulty level is moderate. Talking about improvement in my course, I would suggest more research on today's technology as it is getting advanced day by day. Life on campus is vibrant and enriching, offering students a blend of academic rigor, social engagement, and extracurricular opportunities. There are many technical and non-technical clubs. The most enjoyable events are Halcyon and Spandana, which are held every year. I have joined the Aurora Club, a non-technical club, where I learned many things. Scholarships are provided for those in need.
