Review of SMK Fomra Institute of Technology - SMKFIT.

Placements: Our college did not provide placements. Top recruiting companies never showed up, even though they tried. Jobs and internships can be obtained off-campus.

Infrastructure: The basic facilities at our college are not good. Hostel rooms are sufficient for one person, but there are shared rooms. Canteen and bus services are not available. The cricket ground is available but it not owned by the college.

Faculty: Our teachers are friendly but we have to call them to take class. There are no practicing lab assistants and no good lab facilities. Except for the dean and principal, not only students but also staff members suffered. It took decades to receive monthly salaries to them and are not credited on time.

Other: I chose this course for better guidance since my family members are engineers. First, they need better washrooms and drinking water. Following that, they must consider how to improve the course. Total college strength was 247, including all department students.

It is the best college with high value for money.

Placements: The college arranged not only on-campus drives but also pooled drives for off-campus. They trained students for placements from the second year. At the beginning of each semester, we were given placements from outside professionals for 3 days. Our college arranged eligible training providers to conduct value-added courses during academic hours.

Infrastructure: It is a vast campus with well-equipped labs. The library has the latest edition of books, and it contains more than lacs of books. It is also centralised air-conditioned. There are top-class hostels for both boys and girls. All hostels are vegetarian, but still, the food provided is delicious. The environment is clean and hygienic, and it also contains Wi-Fi.

Faculty: Teachers are well-experienced, and they never denied help. Even after college hours, we can approach them for help. The curriculum is as per Anna University. Apart from the curriculum, value-added courses and foreign languages were also taught to us. All the labs have equipment that is needed as per the regulation.

Other: I have chosen this course due to my passion for mechanical engineering. I have chosen this college because, in this surrounding, it is the best college with high value for money.

Review of SMK Fomra Institute of Technology - SMKFIT.

Placements: The total strength of our department is 50 students, and out of which, only 20 students got jobs in placements. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,500 per month. Only off-campus placements are provided here, and students got selected in Amazon and Zoho through off-campus placements. The top role offered in our course is a developer. I don't know about the salary packages offered in our course. Almost 90% of the students got internships and implant training in the private and public sector.

Infrastructure: Our college has good labs, good classrooms and a neat library, but there is no maintenance. The food served in the hostel is completely underrated, but medical facilities are good. Sports and games were fair enough. After raising a complaint against catering services, still, there is no change. There is no pantry.

Faculty: The teaching proficiency is good from all the faculty members, and they really help students to gain more knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are well trained to perform in the best industries. Students have been provided with additional knowledge apart from the subject.

Other: I chose mechanical because it's an evergreen department. I wish that faculty members need to spend more time in the practical sessions, which will be really helpful for their future jobs. Overall, our college has a good atmosphere.

Go for a better college than this college.

Placements: Poor placement, the highest salary was 10k, non mechanical company only came for placement, sales executive was the highest role offered, no student internship in any company, college doesn't have any department like placement like that they told we have to search for job on own.

Infrastructure: Simple infrastructure and poor maintenance, no lab was good, library was a good, hostel and food provided is a total waste of money no medical facilities, no proper restrooms, in open ground without proper games equipment we have to play games.

Faculty: Faculty was so poor they itself don't know the subject even hod has no knowledge about the course, the course curriculum is totally basic for industry it not enough to get a basic graduate engineer trainee job in industry in total my college was a total waste of time and money.

Other: Due to parents desire I joined this course.

Totally satisfied with the faculty, teaching, facilities, infrastructure and placements.

Placements: The placements of our college were quite good. Around 80% of the students got placed last year. The average salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Companies like Emerson Process Management Pvt. Ltd., Eureka Forbes Pvt. Ltd., Zifo Technologies, NTT Data Software Ltd., Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, etc., visited the college for placements. Initially, the students are offered with junior level and trainee posts. Approximately 70% of the students got internships at the college. The average stipend offered was up to Rs. 3,000 per month and the stipend also depends upon the number of months attended. There is a placement cell. It is very useful in bringing more companies for placements and organising personality development programs.

Infrastructure: The college provides good Wi-Fi facility. The college has fully equipped labs with numerous machines to work. The classrooms have a great ambience. The library is filled with numerous books of all the authors for the reference. There is even a sports complex inside the campus. The quality of the food provided at the canteen is good. Hostel rooms are very comfortable. Initially, I faced some issues related to the hygiene of the food, but I've reported to the respective authorities, and required actions were taken to overcome the issue.

Faculty: The teachers are very much helpful. Much data can be extracted from them. Teachers use a practical and relative method for the better understanding of the students. Approximately, the student to faculty ratio is 15:1. We got a lot of industry exposure by going to many industrial visits and attending workshops organised by the college. The course curriculum is really very useful and worthy.

Other: Many events are organised inside the campus. Many symposia are organised in which students can take active participation. The campus crowd is above average. The campus surrounding is very blooming with trees being planted and grown all around the campus. The college provides various scholarships for deserved students under various categories. The college encourages extracurricular activities in which students can participate in the field of sports and student engagement programs.
