Placements: Nearly 90% of students at our college receive placements. The average compensation package offered is 3.5 LPA, while the highest salary package is 23 LPA. Leading hiring firms that visit our campus include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, Accenture, Cognizant, and others. Roughly half of students secure internships.

The B.Tech placements at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli (SRMIST Trichy) are quite promising. The university conducts on-campus placements, and the participating recruiters include a wide range of companies from various sectors such as IT, core engineering, finance, and consulting. Some of the prominent recruiters that have visited the campus for placement drives include DBS, HSBC, Cisco, Wipro, TCS, Google, IBM, L&T, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Tata Elxsi, and many others. The placement rate for B.Tech and M.Tech courses at SRMIST Trichy was recorded at 99% in the academic year 2022-2023, with students being placed in new-age job roles. The highest and average placement packages stood at INR 35 LPA and INR 4 LPA, respectively.

Candidates need to complete Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology to apply for any of the BTech specialisations. Besides, candidates must also pass JEE Main/ SAT or SRMJEEE for admission to BTech programme.
