B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.2
Basically, a good college for Chemical Engineering with placements and input.
Placements: The college provides placement opportunities through campus recruitment drives. The highest package offered in recent years is around 9–18 LPA, while the average package ranges between 13–14 LPA. Companies from the chemical, pharmaceutical, and IT sectors visit the campus. Many students secure internships before graduation, which improves their placement chances. Development programs on aptitude, communication, and technical skills are also conducted regularly.
Infrastructure: Chemical laboratories, classrooms with projectors, a central library, and computer facilities are available. The Chemical Engineering department has laboratories for unit operations, heat transfer, mass transfer, and process control experiments. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with clean rooms, drinking water, and mess facilities. Sports grounds and recreational facilities are also available for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They provide good teaching, help in gaining knowledge, and support every student daily. They conduct a good morning assembly and share information about skills. The source of information in the IT and services industry is well-connected. The staff is marvelous.
Other: Good placements, work opportunities, and good lectures throughout the year. Students prepare for extracurricular activities and improve their leadership and teamwork skills. The teaching environment is good and provides a good learning experience.

In our college, food, teaching, and infrastructure are too good.
Placements: Placements in our college are good for computer-related courses. In chemical engineering, most students end up in IT rather than core jobs. Only five out of 60 students got core placements, but if you study well, you can secure a core position. Don't worry, you can at least get into IT. You can choose this college for a better future.
Infrastructure: I'm currently in the 1st year. The hostel is good, and the overall infrastructure is very nice. However, many people say our college is one of the strictest in Chennai. They are strict about dress code, lab activities, and speaking in English. The food here is like heaven.
Faculty: They conduct about three model exams before the first semester and give internal marks based on these exams, along with small activities like PPT presentations and lab work. The teachers are experienced and skilled. The pass percentage of the college is high, but the college is a bit strict.
Other: In our college, the food is very nice, and it's considered the number one college in Chennai for having good hostel food. They also provide meals for day scholars.

Good placement without any culturals and celebration.
Placements: The placement in our college is good but you won't mostly get placed in your core but you can get placed in software company like nokia, HCL, Infosys. The highest package of the past year is 24 LPA which is good but average package is 6 LPA. Can get internship with on duty but to claims than (OD) it should be a good industry.
Infrastructure: Hostel is good with weekly cleaning and free Landry. Have Wi-Fi for rooms. No AC rooms are available. It is strict for 1st years like have outing monthly twice and for that you need a gaurdian to pick you up. The highlight of this college is the food they provide in the mess. You have weekly five days non veg and veg.
Faculty: The teachers are good and some are friendly. They are knowledgeable in the core. The provide good lab session and the lab staff are too friendly. The semester are easy if you prepare a few days before exams and get your internal marks. The pass percentage is 65.
Other: The overall college experience is below average without and celebration and culturals but if you focus on your studies you can get placed in a good company.

It is a pleasant college to study BE/B.Tech in Chennai with good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The percentage of students who get placed from this course changes every academic year. Almost all the students who pass all semester exams without any standing arrears get their placements here. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 L PA. Accenture, Cognizant, R&D Solutions, Infosys, SPIC and other companies visit here. About 80% of the students got their internships in many IT companies such as Accenture, Infosys and some chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Quality analyst, chemical process engineer and production engineering are top roles offered in this course.
Infrastructure: A separate building is available for the chemical department. Classrooms, seminars and labs are maintained well. The food is provided on all the days for hostel students. Mess and canteen are the big advantages of the college. Various indoor games and outdoor sports are available.
Faculty: Teachers here are well trained and help us to improve our grades. Constant exams are conducted, and they train students to face problems and educate their basis to excel in the core industry. Exams are easy if we listen to classes, and the pass percentage is more than 90% here.
Other: I chose this course because it is a rare course available in Chennai. The course is easy to understand, and many industries are available for this course. More colleges should start offering this course. Every government event and special events and festivals are celebrated here. There is a good crowd of more than 10,000 students, and the campus is filled with trees and flowers with many statues. Scholarships are given for BC, MBC and SC/ST students. Various clubs are provided here. Webinars and seminars are also conducted here.

Satisfied with food, placement. Dissatisfied with strict rules.
Placements: Approximately 50% of the students are placed now and it is estimated to reach 65-70% as few companies are yet to conduct placement. The highest package offered is around 6 Lacs, the lowest package is around 1.8 lakhs and the average package offered is around 3 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are McDermott, Sanmar, Spic, Eco labs along technical side and Infosys, Zoho, TCS, CTS along with IT companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities of the college are somewhat good but during the rainy season, there is stagnant water up to your ankles in the pathway. Wi-Fi is not available in college. The library is good and well maintained. Mobile phones are not allowed. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good and cheap. Only sports students and hostellers can use the grounds.
Faculty: There are some teachers who are very helpful and qualified. Also, there are teachers who don't have enough knowledge about the subjects. As my college follows Anna university, the course curriculum is relevant and in this course, though you have a degree you will still need industrial training.
Other: I chose this course because I don't like the computer field and also I'm interested in chemicals. The best thing about my course is once you have enough experience (2-3yrs) you can live a good life ahead and also you have many job opportunities abroad. The scholarship is provided for sports students who are extremely good. Many events are conducted with huge prize money.

Good placements and infrastructure, and the faculty are friendly.
Placements: For our batch (2019), many companies like Infosys, TCS, CTS, Zoho, Amazon, Spic, Zifo, IDBI, Yes Bank, Manali Petrochemical, Swizz, Omics and more visited our campus. Most of the students got placed. Amazon offered a package of 12 LPA, Zifo offered 6 LPA, and IDBI offered 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: I advise everyone to join in our college. Our college has a good infrastructure. Classrooms are good, hygienic and spacious. Laboratories are good. Our college provides free breakfast and lunch, with non-vegetarian food for 5 days. You can take either vegetarian, non-vegetarian or diet foods as all are available. The hostel is good. In my opinion, you will have a good future by choosing our college. You will be a good human being.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are M.Tech and PhD holders. They motivate and make students good human. They make the students score good marks by conducting extra classes. They were friendly with students.
Other: Our college provides scholarships for toppers. Our college provides good sports training. Students in the sports quota don't need to pay the fee until the end of the degree.

The college has good infrastructure and the best food.
Placements: The IT placements have just started in the college, and the seniors batch had a slump in IT placements due to various reasons, but the core placements were normal. For core industry, we need to move out of the college as our core is much limited. We are given certain additional value-added courses, which would be useful for attending interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. We have a separate block for every department while the first year has a separate block, and each block is provided with good drinking water facilities and also the restroom facilities are good. The sports are given major importance in the college, and the buildings are not attractive as seen in many colleges. The lab facilities in the college are also not good.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are not so good nor bad, while the curriculum is currently being changed from the previous batches various courses are conducted. The faculty remains strict, which is not good for a college atmosphere as there is a lot of pressure for students such as filling up no due forms which are sometimes not good.
Other: The symposium is conducted every year, and the scholarships are provided for students in the college.
