The college is very good with good teachers.
Placements: About 80% of students were placed. The highest salary offered is Rs.70000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs.20000 per month. We are selected by Tech Mahindra. I got 86% and I am offered the role of manager of the head office. My experience was so good and I wish to continue the job and earn more money.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is below average in our college. We love our classrooms and library. The quality of food served is average. Sports are very good and we play pubg. It's a good game and I like it very much.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are above average and knowledgeable. They teach students which is so lovely. The teaching quality is very good. Teachers are very beautiful and chill. Semester exams are very good. I passed with 86% percentage in our college.
Other: I like that course so I chose it. But it must improve. Fests and scholarships are good.

The best thing about our college is that they provide an amazing placement training.
Placements: In my course, almost 75 percent of the students were placed except those who were trying for their higher studies. I think the highest package is 8LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. We have many recruiters even from the IT sector the top companies are Zifo, Infosys. Many are placed to take job I am not sure about the internship thing.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well built and maintained. Library is maintained so well so that students uses it well. They even have digital library too. There is no Wi-Fi facility for students. Hostels are well maintained. And our college is famous for its food quality.
Faculty: The professors were well qualified and they helped us in many ways to bring innovative ideas for our projects too. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant so that we can easily relate it to reality. It makes the students ready for the practical world.
Other: I had a passion for biology so I chose this course. The best thing about this course it has various options in future. It is the present and future of the world. College conducts so many events to keep the students entertained.

Our college provides good placements every year.
Placements: Approximately about 65% of the students from our course are getting placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Biocon and others. Research and development scientist is the top role offered in our course. The salary package offered in our course is about 12 LPA. About 75% of the students get internships in various biotech companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good, and the facilities available here include classrooms, etc. Laboratories are well maintained in our department. The quality of the food served in the hostel is very good, and there is a huge ground which can support various sports activities. Though I'm a days scholar, I don't know much about hostel life.
Faculty: Staff members in our department are very helpful and highly knowledgeable. Their teaching level is up to the mark. Most of the staff members have completed doctorate is their respective field of interest. The course curriculum is more or less relevant, and it is interesting.
Other: I chose biotechnology because I like genetic engineering and other subjects in our course. I wish that if our college provides more labs, then there will be a better environment.

Really Good Infrastructure and Facilities.
Placements: The placements in our batch were very well co-ordinated and planned. The college prides itself on attaining 100% placement every year. The highest salary offered was around 7Lakhs per annum and the lowest salary offered was around 2.5 Lacs per annum. There were majorly mass IT recruiters like Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant Technological Solutions and Infosys that visits the campus. There were also a few other core companies that visited. The placement cell majorly consists of faculty and they do a good job of getting decent companies on campus.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure in classrooms. They are constantly building new blocks and improving on existing facilities. There is a well made library. There is no Wi-Fi in the college and the quality of labs and classrooms are good. They contain all basic necessities required for students. The food is excellent. It is of great quality and variety. The hostel rooms are not up to the mark. They drip of water and have a damp smell. They are not cleaned often.
Faculty: The teachers were not very knowledgeable. They only follow normal classroom teaching using power point. There is one faculty for every 15 students. They do not use case study or experiential learning approaches. The course curriculum was outdated and out of touch with industry standards. Not much industry exposure or internships were provided.

Really need to know how life is in St. Joseph's College of Engineering? Read this review!
Placements: Regarding the placements of our batch 2013-2017, about 855 students got placed in various companies on campus. The day zero companies that visited the campus are Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro and produced about 715 offers in total. Companies like Zoho, Solitron, Zifo, Tech Mahindra take a decent number of students with a good payscale. The highest salary discussed is Rs. 9 LPA by Solitron, the lowest is Rs. 2.4 LPA, the average salary is Rs. 3.25 LPA- 3.3 LPA by Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro. Most of the offers given to the students were for the role of a system engineer. A negative thing about the placement offers is that some batch of students who got placed in the zeroth day companies are still (17-08-2017) waiting for their date of joining. As for internships, there are no internships offered by our college. When it comes to placement training, the students are trained for the placement examination from the second year onwards. The seriousness of the training increases year by year. Every week, placement training examinations are conducted. In the final year, every student will be trained for their interviews and value added courses will also be conducted to make the student efficient for their interviews.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi: There is no Wi-Fi connection in my college, only LAN facilities are available (both in the college and the hostel). Labs and classrooms:: The labs were perfect for the student purpose. Many new instruments are present for the student's hands-on usage. The classrooms are good. Library: A huge library which facilitates every department's students. hospital: There is no 24/7 hospital. If you have any serious health issues. you should take yourself to the nearest hospital. Primary health issues like diarrhoea, headache, mild fever can be treated in the college dispensary. Sports and games: My college is one the best colleges in Chennai in the field of sports. If you are a sports person you, can really develop your skill here. TIES is conducted among engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University. Our college is one of the great competitors in various sports. The college conducts sports day among the various departments. If you are a hosteller, you can play a lot of sports and games daily. Food: Our college mess' food is one of the best compared to the colleges in Tamil Nadu. Both vegetarian and non- vegetarian food will make your day. One of the best things in our college is our food. The bad thing is we cannot buy food whenever we need. Actually, there is no canteen, only the mess is present. And as I like to have tea, I found it difficult because I could not buy tea when I needed. But other than this part, our mess food is really awesome. Hostel rooms: The hostel rooms are really good with attached bathroom and toilet. Four students are accommodated in a room. There are no AC rooms. You will really enjoy the time in the hostel- The drawbacks are that during the rainy season, the college will be flooded with water. You could often find some snakes around the campus during that time.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty, every department has some great experienced professors and an equal number of inexperienced staff members but with a very good knowledge of the subjects. If you have any complaints regarding the faculty members, you could really make a note to the management. They will really take that into care. Our college makes a great effort in making the students excel in academics. Daily morning tests are conducted. Low CGPA students are really taken care of. If the student takes the examination seriously, definitely he/she will excel in their academics with no doubt.

Placements can be much better, yet they need more exposure to the current scenarios.
Placements: The percentage of students who were placed ranges from 5 to 10 percent. The average package that is offered by the college is 6 LPA. There are no companies for the core sector, which has been set up, and there are only 1 or 2 companies that get in for recruitment, like Biozone. The internships are at major hospitals like Chettinad Hospital and MGM.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good based on the availability, where there is less usage of the internet and the technical purpose that sets it backwards in time. The food that is provided in the canteen is better in terms of taste and quantity and there are no quality concerns .
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable if we seek interest in what we study. Actually, the curriculum is a bit behind the timeline of the modern era. The pass percentage of the examination is 45%, indicating that the exams are moderately difficult.
Other: I had personal interests in the biology field and wanted to create and be involved in the new discoveries of the modern era. I wish there would be some free time for the students who study and to frequently conduct fests and events for the day scholars .

Our college is the best in campus discipline, infrastructure and placements.
Placements: A good number of top companies visit our campus for recruitment. A lot of job opportunities are offered to the students who satisfy the criteria for placements. Infosys was one of the top companies which hired more than 150 students from our batch. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Biotech is mainly a research-oriented branch, and there were very few core companies like Zifo and Omics, which visited here for placements.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are quite good, but they can be updated with much latest equipment. Hands-on training is provided for research-oriented branches like biotech. The central library has a vast collection of books for different streams of engineering, administration and general topics. It's well-known that Jeppiar Institutions are better known for their food, and they continue to keep up that, which is great. Separate messes are allotted for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food with complete hygiene and tasty food, and they have a weekly schedule of the food menu. St Joseph's is one of the best for sports quota students as they receive special attention to cope up with their academics and sports equally.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members of our college are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They do their best to make students understand the concept. Adequate notes are uploaded in the students' portal for every semester. Our college comes under the curriculum of Anna University, which is not sufficient to make students industry-ready.
Other: Industrial visits and NGO activities are organised in our college every semester. The college should provide even more exposure to the students in the point of research activities and field knowledge to face the competitive world. It is one of the engineering colleges which strives hard to maintain discipline among the students.
